Well, it's taken a little longer but it's been one heck of a few weeks down at Moorabbin. We're finally back for Unpluggered's 2022 Season Review as we look ahead to Ross Lyon's comeback at the St Kilda Football Club in 2023.

A bizarre week.

After re-signing coach Brett Ratten to a two-year extension mid-year we would have put our house on him being the man to lead the St Kilda Football Club into 2023. As we all know, Ratts' tenure at the club ended abruptly as he was removed from his position last week.

But why? What happened? What's next? What does it mean? We take a look.

It's been a while but we catch up to talk through some of the rumours and chat about the upcoming trade period, plus the state of St Kilda FC's list and where we need to improve. Full season review is coming soon!

What? We're still a chance to play AFL Finals in 2022? Well, mathematically. But not really. Former England Cricket skipper Alec Stewart was front and centre for so many of Shane Warne's greatest moments. We spoke to him about "Warnie's" legacy.

Our new segment "That's so St Kilda" is off to a flyer in 2022 as a number of events fit the bill already before the men's season has even begun.

We take a look at the AAMI Community Series win over Essendon, while we also chat with 169-game St Kilda midfielder, David Armitage about his career journey from starting out as a youngster under Ross Lyon and Nick Riewoldt, to becoming a leader in his own right, and we wish a very special birthday to the one and only, Tony 'Plugger' Lockett.

Fresh off her incredible victory on the ABC's "Hard Quiz," Saints TV trivia guru Sarah Glenister joined us to chat about her love of the St Kilda Football Club and what drew her to the Saints.

The boys get together for an unplanned, heart-breaking tribute to the late, great Shane Warne.

Heath Black played just 54-games with the St Kilda Football Club, but was involved in a period of immense growth, arriving at the club in 2002 after five seasons at Fremantle. Black played a major role in the development of the squad, with an appearance in the 2004 Preliminary Final loss to Port Adelaide - one that he says still stings - before moving back to Fremantle ahead of the 2005 season sue to family reasons.

Having worked for the AFL and now in local football since retirement following the 2009 season, Black is now a big advocate for mental health, both in football and in society.

Not much more sums up the competitive end of the St Kilda Football Club's 2021 season than "it hurt, but there was a very small element of relief." With the Saints gallant-ish loss to the Cats, the season is over, despite one match to go on the fixture, which we'll look towards on this episode.
