Can We All Agree to Stop Commenting On What Other People Eat? + Re-Air of No To Getting Weighed at The Doctor's23 Nov 202200:24:13

Hi Creative Cuties!

TW- Eating Disorders. This is a little Thanksgiving special! I'm doing some new content on what to do when someone comments about what you're eating, how much you're eating or the pace at which you eat, followed by a re-air of my episode originally titled, "Just Say No To Getting Weighed at The Doctor's."

All of the above is based on my real experience. My hope is to give you some tools this holiday season to protect your mental health and serenity when someone makes a careless comment or when a doctor tries to throw you on a scale without even saying hello, let alone getting your medical and mental health history.

We have much more authority in our own lives than we give ourselves credit for. Step up to the plate and protect your inner-child. And, for God's sake, don't comment on what anyone else is eating or how they're eating it. Stay in your lane, babe. We can't Unleash if we're constantly wrapped up in things that don't matter- focus on yourself and your healing journey. The rest will fall into place.

NOTE: This is a Video Episode, as well as audio! Check the video out on Spotify :)

On this "Best of Episode" I re-air the episode where I detail every step of my mental health journey and how you can do the same for yours. BUT before I get to that, some exciting announcements about an award the show won, as well as an update on what has been happening since I took my break, plus insight on why I chose to re-share this episode with you. Original show description below!

But first, here's the link to get tickets to my show tonight (05/04) it's at 8pm at Urban Press Winery in Burbank. Tickets here: https://shows.fanflex.com/artists/xcJ1j3C4ia2T3jlEdsze/campaigns/rvHyntab12ywCp7BZiFm

On this episode of the pod, you guessed it: I, your host (Lauren LoGrasso) will be sharing my full mental health journey- from my family history, to childhood, to  how I got to where I am today--in a good place with and most importantly: aware that my mental health is something that needs to be tended to. My hope is that in hearing my story you’ll: 1) Be able to trace the lines of your own mental health journey and gain some new insight about yourself 2) You’ll go onto share your story with someone else so that we can all become part of the destigmatization of mental health and 3) To really share all of who I am - what I am finding is that we cannot fully appreciate the good and the light without acknowledging and owning the dark, too - you must feel it to heal it.

Please note: we (My associate producer Emily (who acts as a guide for this episode) and I) talk about some sensitive topics including anxiety and depression, body image and eating disorders and also physical abuse/violence. If any of those topics are tough for you, please keep that in mind before listening. Love you and thank you for holding space for me today as I talk through this vulnerable subject!
