We truly covered it all with Gia in this episode, from her favorite English words and love for Target (+ a new love revealed!), to her background growing up in Germany, her TikTok skills and so much more.
Background on Gia:
The 23-year-old signed with the Wave in January 2025, coming to the Club from TSG Hoffenheim Frauen, and quickly made her name known in the league scoring four minutes into her Wave debut against Angel City.
She was originally born in Tacoma, Wa. and moved to Germany when she was three years old and had lived there ever since making the move to San Diego. She's played for German Youth National teams, including two youth World Cups, as well as for Bayern Munich's academy team.
Off the pitch, Gia is known for her elite dance moves, swaggy tooth gems and tattoos, love for dogs and infectious personality.

Trinity Armstrong is Adulting

Trinity Armstrong, also known as T3, joins the show fresh off her 18th birthday to tell us all about her first few days as an adult (taxes?!), her fast track journey through high school and college, how she has overcome health struggles and so much more.
Trinity signed with the Wave in January of this year, shortly after winning an NCAA National Championship with the University of North Carolina after just five months in college! Trinity has accomplished so much at such a young age and shares her wisdom, well beyond her years, in this week's episode. Hope you enjoy!

Wave defender Hanna Lundkvist joins Unlaced this week, fresh off a 2025 Euros campaign with her Swedish national team.
The 23-year-old shares her experiences playing on the global stage with her national team plus her transition to life in America since signing with the Wave in Feb. 2024.
We go through some of Hanna's most memorable moments in San Diego (thanks to the surprise stories submitted by her pals) including her first swim in the Pacific Ocean, her reaction to crocs, the tummy troubles in the team meeting room and so much more.

Kennedy Wesley joins the show!!
The 24-year-old defender chats all about her new contract with the club, signing through 2028! Kennedy also shares about her alter-ego "Ken" on the pitch, her "transferable skills" from years of gymnastics, faking her way through violin performances, her fav Trader Joes picks and so much more!
The Stanford alum signed with the Wave ahead of the 2024 season after being selected 12th overall in the NWSL Draft. Wesley also played for the U.S. Youth National Teams at the U-17 and U-20 level and was a part of the U-17 roster that competed at the 2016 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the U.S. U-20 WNT that won the 2020 Concacaf Championship.

We welcome 23-year-old defender Quincy McMahon to the show, fresh off her big birthday! Quincy signed with the Wave in Jan. 2025 after a successful career as a four-year starter for UCLA. On the international stage, McMahon has played with the U.S. Youth National teams at the U-18, U-19, U-20 and U-23 levels and was also named the Gatorade State Player of the Year for Indiana.
