They're baaack. While drummer David Silver has certainly stayed busy, Season to Risk have written, released and will be touring with new music this year! We were privileged enough to hang out with David on Undetermined the Podcast to yak about their new album, "1-800-MELTDOWN." It's an outstanding record and Season to Risk stays loyal to their roots, but if you realize those roots are grounded in raucous, intense and experimental music, it has room to breathe...and the air is fresh.

We've been excited to make this happen. We at Undetermined the Podcast are proud to welcome Nick Sakes to the family. When I was a young punk, Dazzling Killmen were a core element of everything I loved about hard-core music. His work in Colossamite, Sicbay and Xaddax, had made him seem like an otherworldly figure, to me. We had the pleasure of meeting Nick at Caterwaul a couple of years back. It turns out, he's a very down to earth guy and a cool cat to chat with. His latest release, "Blurred Wires" by Upright Forms is a phenomenal album. Check it out at Skin Graft Records!

It's always a refreshing and interesting conversation when we talk to one of our favorite guests/people Dave Hingerty.  Cutting his teeth as a world-class percussionist with the likes of Kila, The Frames, and Josh Ritter, Dave's worked to continually expand his artistic horizons with his collaborative project Side 4 Collective. (Dave provides a groove as a starting point that any artist is welcome to build upon. It's so cool!)

Jon and Matt reconnect with buddy Conan Neutron of Conan Neutron and the Secret Friends to talk about their new record Dark Passengers (it's REALLY good!), mental health, and other stuff. (Who ISN'T interested in Big Trouble in Little China: the musical??)

Critters Buggin', The Dead Kenny G's, Les Claypool, Ani DiFranco, Stanton Moore, Rickie Lee Jones, Brave Combo, Garage A Trois, Hairy Apes BMX, Billy Goat...and much more! To say that percussionist Mike Dillon is anything short of prolific is making an understatement. This guy bleeds music and it shows in some pretty amazing ways. So glad we had a chance to spend some time with him.

He's more than just a bad-ass name. He's also a bad-ass on the six (and sometimes seven) string! But don't let that scare you.  He's also a really great guy in a really great band. So glad we took some time to know Justin Payne of Topeka death metal legends Unmerciful!

We've come across a lot of "Friends" and "Strangers" on the podcast. But never quite so literally! We had a great time getting to know Kansas' own Blood Daubers. This two man unit isn't as interested in any specific musical identity as they are in making good music. It shows!  (It also probably doesn't hurt to get an assist from Godzillionaire's Ben White!) Thanks fellas! We had a "bloody" good time getting to know them and think you will too!

Johnny's been a part of the Irish music scene for many years and has played drums with some amazing acts. (Pugwash; Picturehouse; The Frames; Marianne Faithfull...) After being turned on to the Australian power duo DEAD Matt and Jon were immediately impressed and enamored with their music. Their drummer Jem has been a guest on Undetermined and we were honored to have Mr. Jace Rogers (guitar, bass, vox) join us for a conversation about what makes our countries so different, yet the same. That inevitably led to discussions about rock and roll. We made fast friends and hope you all enjoy the conversation as much as we did.

Cue up the theremin!! Tom Whitmore is a rock star of another sort! Being on the board of Mutual UFO Network, the guy's got a story or two. Really fascinating stuff! So glad we got to know him!

Time hasn't made this guy any less awesome! It's been a quarter century since Joe (Mr. Blonde) and Matt (Matt Faux) worked together at Springfield, MO's legendary radio station The Planet in the 90s. Catching up was WAY overdue! Some great memories and stories in this one. (Jon's there too!)

Seven is our kinda guy! Super friendly, super funny, and super talented! From Truck Stop Love to his current band Headlight Rivals (and all the stops in between) he's lived a fascinating life. We loved getting to know him and think you will too.

With projects such as Slim Cessna’s Auto Club, DBUK and Munly & The  Lupercalians Denver area legends Munly J. Munly 32nd and Slim Cessna  have established themselves as influential and striking fixtures of the  Denver arts community for over 30 years. Armed with apocalyptic stories  and a sound better experienced than explained, it was truly an honor  getting to know these wonderfully unique and talented gentlemen.

They don't get much more down to Earth than Freddy Herrera. Super talented, super funny, and super nice. So glad we had a chance to get to know him! (Bonus: Due to a glitch, Jon is now exploring a career doing disclaimer voice-overs!)

We had a great time with Columbia MO's Many Colored Death! (A really great up and coming band from Columbia, MO!) Funny, talented, and down to Earth...Brent, Preston, and Shea are worth getting to know. Check 'em out!
