Greetings friends,
The first Mercury retrograde of the year is just about to kick off, and it’s going to be rather interesting. The experience of us literally moving through it may feel rather confusing or disorienting, but we have to trust that this is leading us to clarity (because it is)! This Mercury retrograde takes place between the night of February 25th and the afternoon of March 20th, retracing its steps between 22º and 8º Pisces. If you have placements between these degrees, then you may find that this will feel especially influential over a life theme that you will spend some time learning more about and perhaps developing more wisdom in during this period.
This is an important time for us to think of all the things that we have perpetually pushed to the back of our to-do lists, in both our material lives and also our emotional ones. This retrograde is bound to point our attention toward all of the things that haunt us as we’re trying to fall asleep; where does your mind wander to? We may find that this retrograde will reveal to us the things we are not seeing but are sitting right in front of us, which may lead to breakthroughs around spiritual development processes, mental health issues, emotional metabolization, and confusion about the future. We may be looking back upon past experiences and seeing them in a different light; this retrograde highlights how sometimes the answer you are looking for can only be seen with distance from the matter and time.
We may find that there are going to be the usual delays in transportation or travel, issues in communication, or technological difficulties, but this retrograde asks us to examine what our unconscious response is to any of these matters and to identify what that may say about our beliefs or our nervous system’s current state. We may also find ourselves readdressing memories from the past, perhaps reaching back to childhood, but also perhaps involving topics, scenarios, or relationships that feel open-ended and unfinished to us. I could go on, but you’ll hear all of the nuances of this retrograde in the episode; these next few weeks are very beneficial to our collective emotional and spiritual well-being. You may notice by the time the post-shadow period is over (April 9th) that you have a lot more energy, mental clarity, and inner stability.
