I am fascinated by the waves.

波はなぜ生まれるのか。

波はなぜ綺麗なカーブを描くのか。

波はなぜ美しいのか。

私は波に見惚れてしまう。

It's a great day, sunny in the morning.

In winter, the ocean is very rough.

I have been waiting for this day to come, and it finally did.

The sunny spell is short-lived, and the ocean is back in its winter mode.

朝から晴れて最高の一日だ。

冬になると海は大荒れ。

いつかいつかと待ちわびていたが、やっとこの時がきた。

そんな晴れ間も一瞬でまた海は冬モードになる。

上手くいかなかったとき、失敗して落ち込んだときもある。

穏やかな海だけが海じゃない。

荒れた気持ちになったら、あえて荒々しい波でも。

HOT HOT HOT Even though there's an oasis right in front of me, I came ocean in slacks and sneakers. I'll wear my Patagonia pants and flip-flops tomorrow. 暑い。暑い。暑い。 目の前にはオアシスが広がっているのに、スラックスとスニーカーで海に来てしまった。 明日はパタゴニアのパンツとビーチサンダルで来よう。

While recording as usual, I hear an unusual sound.

Conversation of anglers asking about their catches.

And the sound of a guitar.

This is the everyday life of the ocean.

いつも通り収録していると、いつもと違う音が聞こえる。

釣果を聞く釣り人の会話。

ギターの音色も。

これが海の日常。

Despite the sunny weather, the waves are coming in small increments.

Wave after wave swallows wave and becomes one big wave.

It wakes up the slumbering heart of the holiday mood.

晴れた天気と裏腹に波は小刻みに迫ってくる。

波が波を飲み込んで一つの大きな波になる。

休日気分のまどろんだ心の目を覚ましてくれる。

The ocean without a single wave. You can hear the harmonious voices of parents and their children. A couple is taking a pre-wedding photo. Perhaps it is the ocean that attracts all kinds of people and makes them smile. 波一つない海。 親子連れの和やかな声が聞こえる。 結婚式の前撮りをしているカップルがいる。 色んな人を引き寄せ、笑顔にするのが海なのかもしれない。

I came to the ocean to move forward. I was expecting rough seas that would inspire me, but the ocean is extremely calm. Maybe it is good to be slow and calm, and not to rush. 前に進みたくて海に来た。 自分を奮い立たせてくれるような荒波を期待していたが、ものすごく穏やかな海だ。 焦らず、ゆっくりでいいのかもしれない。

The midday moon floats comfortably in the ocean-blue sky. 海のような青空の中を昼の月が気持ち良さそうに浮かんでいる。

On a sunny day, let's go to the sea. Reflecting the sunlight, the waves are pure white. The sound of crackling, screeching, and splashing waves touches my heart. 晴れている日は、海へ行こう。 太陽の光に反射し、波は真っ白。 パチパチッ、シュワ〜〜、波の弾ける音が心に沁みる。

When I see a rocky place on the coast, I get excited thinking there might be something there.

For some reason, just listening to the sound of waves on the rocks makes me feel at home.

海岸の岩場を見ると、そこに何かあるのではとワクワクする。

岩場に溜まる波の音を聴くだけで、なぜか居心地が良くなる。

The setting sun is so strong that it looks like it's roasting the ocean.

Even if I am feeling tired, just looking at the ocean and feeling the sea breeze will help I feel free.

It feels good.

西日が強く、まるで海を炒っているようだ。

疲れが溜まっていても、海を見て、潮風を浴びるだけで開放される。

いい気持ちだ。

A rain pillar hangs over a distant island. It's fantastic. It's a wide ocean, so I can see a lot of things. 遠くの島に雨柱がかかっている。 幻想的だ。 広い海だからいろんなものが見渡せる。

I tried recording high waves for the first time.

There are surfers next to the tetrapod waiting for the high waves.

There was a wave sliding on the tetrapod next to the surfer.

初めて高波の収録に挑戦してみた。

テトラポットの横には高波を待っているサーファー達がいる。

そんなサーファーを横目にテトラポットを滑る波がいた。

You can relax just by feeling the sound of the fast-paced waves.

Please listen to it in a dark room with your eyes closed.

テンポのいい波の音を感じるだけでリラックスできる。

It's a clear ocean.

Calm and comfortable.

I feel like I've been rushing through life lately, so I'll take a short break here.

澄んでいる海だ。

穏やかで居心地が良い。

最近、生き急いでいる気がするからここで小休憩。

The ocean is surprisingly calm for winter. Are we getting closer to spring little by little? 冬にしては、驚くくらい穏やかな海。 少しずつ春に近づいているのだろうか。

The first record point I visited. The waves coming from the left and right collide and overlap. It's called a triangular wave. The wind was cold, but the sound of the waves were so soothing that I ended up staying for a long time. 初めて訪れたレコードポイント。 左右からくる波がぶつかり、重なる波だ。 三角波と言うらしい。 風が冷たかったが、潮騒がとても心地よく、つい長居してしまう。

The sea is not as rough as I thought.

There are no surfers, so I have the ocean to myself.

雨の中での収録。

思ったより海は荒れていない。

サーファーもいないため海を独り占めだ。

The sunset is beautiful. I want to keep looking at it, but I'm slowly sinking in. The contrast with the sky is also great. 夕日は美しい。 ずっと眺めていたいが、じわじわと沈んでしまう。 空とのコントラストも最高だ。

Early in the new year, the days in Japan continue to be restless.

明けましておめでとうございます。

年始早々、日本では落ち着かない日々が続いています。

この海の音を聴いて、一人でもリラックスできることを祈っています。

晴れていたら海へ。 そして日の入りが見たかったので、間に合うように急ぐ。 もうすぐ落ちてしまうオレンジの夕日と、まだ残るブルーの空とのコントラストが素晴らしい。 やっぱり海には晴れが合う。

久しぶりに海へ。 びっしりと覆われた厚い雲に押しつぶされそうになるが、 暗い色の海を眺め、波の音に耳を傾けると自然と癒されていた。 冬の海もいい。

10月になり少し肌寒くなったが、サーファーはお構いなしに海の上で波を待っている。 夏が終わると自然と海から遠ざかりがちだが、それでも心の安らぎを求め、今日も海へ行く。

海で食べる朝食はやっぱりパン。 今までチャレンジできなかったパンを買ってみて、海で食べるともう最高。 うねりがある海だったが、心が満たされる海だった。

雲がほとんどない快晴の空。 ジリジリと照り付ける太陽はやはり強敵だが、暑さを忘れてしまうくらい綺麗で澄んでいる海。 浅瀬には魚の群れも見える。 やっぱり海が好きだ。青が好きだ。

少し早起きして、海へ。 日の出前の静かな波はゆらゆらとゆっくりでとても穏やか。 今日はいいことがありそうだ。

灯台の下を通る洞窟を抜けるとそこには、断崖絶壁の岩肌が。 ある歴史上の偉人が追手を避けるために隠れた洞窟と言われているらしい。 しかし、太陽はそんなことお構いなしにジリジリと照りつけてくるのであった。

梅雨が明け、学生は夏休みに入り海はたくさんの家族で賑わっています。 とても澄んだ海は穏やかで気持ちのいい昼下がりです。
