| TGE Episode #355 - Tibbs and Obermiller | 26 Aug 2026 | 00:46:21 | |
Join host Rich Reardin as he talks with the husband and wife singer-songwriter duo of Tibbs and Obermiller. Hillary and Steve Obermiller are a real couple-to-couple kind of project—two people writing from the inside out, with tight vocal and guitar harmonies that hit you right in the chest, and songs that don’t shy away from the messy parts of being human. They’ve got that folksy, lived-in wisdom, and somehow they make it feel both personal and completely relatable. They’ve spent the last several years fully committing to songwriting and performing, taking their story from local stages in Fort Worth to listening rooms, house concerts, and festivals around the country. And their latest record, Little Kid Heart, is their third album—more polished than ever, but still honest in the way that only comes from writing, workshopping, and re-writing until the songs feel like they finally found the truth. 🎧 Two Good Ears – A podcast for deep listening and fresh perspectives. | TGE Episode #342 - Terry Kok | 10 May 2026 | 02:26:33 | |
Host Rich Reardin talks with bassist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and bio-scientific consultant, Terry Kok. Today I’m talking with someone who’s been quietly shaping a whole corner of Midwestern counterculture for decades. Terry Kok is a bassist, a composer, and a builder of worlds — literally. He helped pioneer Lothlorien, an off-the-grid and self-sustaining community and campground that became a gathering place for music, art, and the kind of conversations you can only have under open sky. He also ran The Eye, his self-described hippie store, where half the magic was the merchandise and the other half was Terry himself. He served as a consultant on NASA’s Biosphere work and has spent much of his life advancing sustainable living — from renewable energy and resilient food systems to community based arts initiatives and peaceful, cooperative communal projects and politics. These days he lives on Fairie Hill, still hosting concerts, still creating spaces where people can come together and learn something — about making music, sustainable community, and artistic expression. Terry’s one of those rare people who didn’t just dream a different way of living; he actually built it. 🎧 Two Good Ears – A podcast for deep listening and fresh perspectives. In this episode host Rich Reardin talks with Grant Peeples. Grant is one of those rare songwriters whose life story hums underneath every line he sings. He’s got that sharp, clear eyed way of looking at the world, but it’s shaped by years far outside the usual music industry orbit—including more than a decade living on a tiny island off the coast of Nicaragua, where the pace of life and the people around him left a permanent mark on his voice and his worldview. His songs carry grit, humor, and a kind of unvarnished honesty that feels both grounded and restless at the same time. He calls himself a 'Leftneck', and so today we get to sit with the person behind that perspective and trace how those experiences—on the road, off the grid, and everywhere in between—found it's way into Grant's work, and that so many listeners connect with.
