Ever wanted to get to know your favourite bands? The aim of my podcast is to interview as many bands as I can in an informal way so that you get to know them as people rather than just an album cover.
My interviews are totally unscripted, unedited and we talk about whatever the band wants allowing their fans to get to know them on a more personal level.
I'll be hosting a series of quizzes in order to find the cleverest band.

LN

The runes spoke, and LN answered.
A high-octane, mythology-drenched Viking Metal experience, forged on the Northern shores and built for those who crave sound with soul. Fans of Amon Amarth, Ghost, and Heilung — this one’s for you.

We saw her at Breaking Bands and true to its purpose, we came home with a new favourite band.

This was my daughter Marinas real taste of music and one of her first interviews, the catchy vocals of 'Hangmans Son' beckoned us over and from that moment we became firm lifelong fans. LN's impressive vocal range reminds me so much of Arch Enemy as well as their catchy riffs, perhaps that's why I was drawn to them.

Be sure to check them out, you will not be disappointed.

Struck/Down

Struck/Down are a five-piece groove metal band hailing from the heart of Kent. Blending their love of classic groove metal with modern heaviness, they aren’t afraid to pull from a wide range of genres to create a sound that’s entirely their own. Their influences span icons like Black Sabbath, Machine Head, Black Label Society, Gojira, and Lamb of God.

Formed in 2014 as a hard rock outfit, Struck/Down have steadily evolved into the powerful modern metal act they are today. Their debut album Gone dropped in August 2019 to a packed hometown release show, marking the start of their mission to spread their music across the UK. Even the pandemic couldn’t slow them down — in 2021 they released their five-track EP From Demons, keeping their momentum strong.

Now, the band is pushing into new territory. Their upcoming release, To Witches, showcases a faster, heavier, and cleaner sound, fuelled by fresh energy from new members joining the fold.

Be sure to check them out because I had so much fun chatting to them next to their rusty band wagon❤️

RACPA- Rock Against Child Pornography and Abuse

Rock Against Child Pornography and Abuse

Is a registered charity working to give a voice to the silent victims of childhood abuse. The children of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

In a world where –
Children as young as 10 are being groomed by organised gangs and trafficked round the country as sexual commodities...Anyone with a computer and a webcam can create and distribute child pornography across the globe at the touch of a button...

Our aim is to break down that wall of silence, one brick at a time if that is how it must be done. The way we choose to do this is by making a noise, both online and in the real world. Standing up and letting those silenced victims know that they are not alone. That we listened and we heard them. That we will speak up on their behalf, by trying our best to make others understand the long term effects of being a victim of child pornography and sexual abuse, that one way or another an entire lifetime is spent dealing with those effects.

We offer a point of safe first contact for those victims, who may never have been able to talk to anyone about what happened to them, simply done their best to lead their lives as normally as possible. We have a fully qualified counsellor who works with victims in the way best suited to their needs and will do so for as long as the need is there, as well as referring on to other support agencies if required, this is done at no cost to those victims or their families.

Of course it is not just sexual abuse that scars lives and we stand up for ALL victims of abuse, be that physical, mental or emotional, for all those helpless victims who have never been able to tell anyone and for those who have tried and simply not been heard, understood or believed.

So how do we do this?

  • We attend Rock gigs up and down the country, raising awareness on behalf of the victims and offering a safe and anonymous contact point, as well as offering information on any issues surrounding the subject
  • We operate a mobile education and information bus that can travel to anywhere needed and offer advice on parental safety programmes, keeping young people safe online, guarding against online grooming, privacy and safety within social network platforms, and offer access to our counsellor.
  • We operate on the internet where among other things we host a page for our mascots, The Fl’obbles (knitted creations), not only a wonderful fund raiser for our work, but also another safe and anonymous point of contact.

And while we are working on making things better for those already affected by this abuse, our long-term goal is to protect future generations from the dangers of sexual exploitation through education and information. To arm them with what they need to operate in a world where technology is a part of their everyday lives and should be safe for them to use without the fear of falling into the hands of an abuser.
Victims and survivors of abuse do NOT want pity, they want help, understanding and to be heard. Surely we can all do our absolute best to give then that.

Black Coast

Season 13 · Episode 2

Me and these guys go back many years and i'm extremely proud to share such a wonderful band from my hometown of stoke On Trent!! I chatted to my good friends Charlie and Scott from Black Coast.

I was extremely keen to chat to them about their Bloodstock Festival performance a few days earlier, and by the sounds of it they had an awesome time!
I chatted to Charlie about making ends meet and to allow him to do what he enjoys he works 3 jobs to fund this. There's a common misconception that bands that play lots of gigs make lots of money and this is not the case. Any up and coming band will tell you that it is an extremely costly hobby in terms of travelling to gigs, buying merchandise and then of course you also have the cost of recording albums and making music videos!

This is why it's extremely important that we do all we can to get behind these bands, they are the bands of our future!

Any promoters/festival organisers hit these guys up.. I PROMISE YOU THEY WON'T DISAPPOINT!

P.S Charlie might even trim your hair in return!! How many bands can play a gig and cut your hair all in the same show?

Lets rewind to Sav Fest 2022 where I collared these guys on the stage after their AWESOME performance, I even leant them a £5ver which I did later recover!
Blitz!!! Now these guys are a huge part of the music scene, they are fantastic musicians and are absolutely wonderfully kind humans.

We spoke about the importance of reaching out if you are having a bit of a tough time, we chatted about their plans as a band and what we can expect from them and I CANNOT WAIT to see their video they filmed live!!

We also discussed the mysterious stain on the pool table, answers on a postcard as to what it was!!

Isn't it amazing how small the music scene really is? I travelled all the way to The Victoria Bikers Pub for Sav Fest only to bump into a band called Bang Bang Firecracker from my hometown of Stoke On Trent!
We had a good old chat about Stoke On Trent and the music scene in general, after a logistic nightmare we had to take refuge in the doorway of the venue which was the quietest place I could find to interview especially as it was torrential rain outside!

See how these lovely lot from Stoke got on in my famous general knowledge quiz!

After getting absolutely drenched interviewing outside I took refuge under the cover of the covered outdoor stage at Sav Fest and chatted to the guys in The Outlaw Orchestra. Not only did I make new friends with these guys we had a right laugh chatting about lots of things including old mens bollocks, gaining weight and their newly named by me their "Prison Break Tour"!
We even had a full crowd Sing -a-long in the quiz to thank them for keeping the noise levels down a bit so I could interview.

If you haven't already then don't forget to check these guys out, I promise you that you'll thank me afterwards ive been humming their tunes for days!!

This is a special episode for me as I'm back in the place where my podcast was born, exactly a year ago on the first day of Sav Fest I turned up and Wendy and Alan very kindly let me come in and cover their event...Fast forward a year and I'M BACK! Back with Adam in the EXACT spot we stood when we had our first interview for my podcast...theres just one thing missing....it's very quiet..there are no Hellcats with him!

I love catching up with Adam and I take every chance possible to have a chat with him about his various projects, his life on the road and life in general!
I'm honoured to call him a good friend of mine, him and his dad are AWESOME!!!!

Ward XVI

Season 12 · Episode 7

This band are well known for a lot of things, most recently they even got Skindred to sign a contract to take them on the three additional dates they added to their UK tour, now that would be awesome!!

I sat down with Ward XVI (16) for those of you rubbish at maths, on a soggy bench in the pouring rain to chat to them at Sav Fest 2023.

This theatrical bunch of rockers will leave you wanting more after each show, their unique performance has allowed them to recruit their ever faithful inmates and if you are lucky you might even get called up to join in their show, think of these as magicians of the music scene.

They are gagging to get out and about and play every venue out there so if you want an immersive stage show as well as being taken on a musical journey then this is the band for you!
In 2017 their first chapter was opened and since then they have gone from strength to strength and in 2021 they created the first ever CIRCUS PIT at BLOODSTOCK- I was there and the Sophie Lancaster tent was packed to the rafters and many of the newly recruited inmates were mesmerised by the show.

Have a listen to our chat where they describe their perfect sugar daddy or sugar momma and are actively recruiting...Think you've got what it takes, then get in touch. They talk about their inmates and their journey to get to where they are today and of course many other things, including my famous general knowledge quiz featuring two exclusive sing alongs!

Go show them some love, and if you do then PsychoBerrie might go easy on you with her chainsaw.

The Hot One Two

Warning- This episode contains at least 50%  of Bumhole- As stated by Kev Baker!

With the chance of a heatwave looming this weekend, I thought it was only appropriate to release my chat at Sav Fest with The Hot One Two! Also now known as The Hot One Poo!

Although they aren't responsible for the weather, they certainly left me feeling hot and bothered and exhausted from all the laughing, if you could measure funniness then i'd say the amount was around Ha⁵ ⁶

Exhausts being left in places they shouldn't, D5 you sunk my battleshit, best tv programmes, trips to the toilet mid interview, beer pong and many other topics.

These guys are absolutely awesome and their loveable personalities have multiplied their fan base simply because they take so much time for their fans.

Make sure if you get the opportunity you go and see them at a gig or festival, THEY ARE AWESOME- You have my word!
