Twin Rivers Music Scene had the amazing opportunity to sit down with Hayden Redwine, an incredibly talented singer-songwriter from West Texas, at the legendary Continental Club in Austin during SXSW 2025.

The Continental Club opened in 1955 and has become famous for its intimate atmosphere and its role in showcasing both up-and-coming and established artists. Located on South Congress Avenue, the Continental Club is known for its diverse range of live performances and is a key part of what makes Austin's "Live Music Capital of the World" so unique. The venue has hosted iconic acts such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Ely, Lyle Lovett and many others throughout its long history.

Hayden Redwine recently released his debut album, ‘Spade’, a beautifully written 10-track project that showcases his ability to poetically weave personal experiences into his music and deeply resonate with listeners. Hayden’s sound is raw, gritty, and real – a vocal depiction of his cowboying days in the rodeo. We had a great time sitting down with Hayden and talking with him about the surprise guest at his album release party, his father’s inspiration in his music, his time spent rodeoing, and so much more.

Twin Rivers Music Scene recently spoke with Texas-based musician Austin Gilliam following his performance at the DKC Cookers tent during the Rodeo Austin BBQ Cook-Off. Austin Gilliam is renowned for blending country and rock influences to create his unique sound, which he describes as "Americana Rock." Growing up in a musically inclined family in Kingsville, Texas, his passion for music ignited at an early age when he discovered his mother's 12-string acoustic guitar. He was also captivated by Slash's guitar solos in the Guns N' Roses video for "Sweet Child O' Mine." 

Austin has become a prominent figure in the New Braunfels music scene, performing with his power trio, The Well Fed Texans. 

In our conversation, Austin shared insights about building and maintaining relationships in New Braunfels over the past 20 years, offered advice for up-and-coming artists, and revealed the backstory behind his popular song "Strawberry Lemonade."

Clay Hollis is a Texas-native, born in the Rio Grande Valley and raised in San Antonio. Clay hit the road at a young age, selling merch for Jon Wolfe. While on tour with the Texas-country star, he discovered a career in music, and touring was his passion. He soon left Wolfe’s team to begin his own journey. Since then, Clay has made a name for himself in the Texas music scene and continues to captivate fans with his true-to-Texas music and lively stage presence.

Brother Jukebox is a New Braunfels-based 90s country cover band consisting of seven incredible individual artists from the Twin Rivers area with five frontmen: Damon Curtis, JJ Villarreal, Logun Timberlake, Keith Hickle, and Nyles Robakiewicz.

We always have a great time with these guys. During our conversation, we heard from Damon and JJ about the formation of Brother Jukebox, their dynamic as both close friends and fellow musicians, and their love for classic '90s country music.

Owen Stroud is a singer-songwriter, pianist, and organist based in New Braunfels, Texas. His music is influenced by a rich blend of honky-tonk, Western swing, regional folk, classical, jazz, and hymnal traditions. Raised in the northwest suburbs of Austin, Owen spent several years after college living in different places, including Nashville, before returning to the region in 2020.

Owen is a versatile performer who writes, produces, and arranges his own music. When he’s not performing on stage, he enjoys hiking in the Hill Country, crafting new songs, or reading books about local geography.

In addition to singing and songwriting, he is an accomplished pianist and keyboardist, providing session work on piano and B-3 organ from his home studio in New Braunfels. He is also actively involved in his community as the Music Director at Hope Presbyterian Church, where he arranges strings and oversees music production.
