Hi Guys, welcome back to TV Reload. Thank you for clicking or downloading on today’s episode with Felicity Ward from The Office Australia which has been eagerly awaited its arrival on Amazon Prime.

I have always love the English and American versions of The Office and so its been exciting to check out the Australian version. I think it feels more Kath and Kim than like the overseas versions. It may polarise some but one thing you can’t accuse Felicity of is not giving 100%.

  • Felicity will talk about her relationship with the series and her answer is quite surprising.
  • We talk about how Felicity would get into character and what prop she kept eating.

COURTNEY AND GRANT - THE BLOCK - CHANNEL NINE31 Aug 202400:29:36

Hi Guys, welcome back to TV Reload. Thank you for clicking or downloading on today’s episode with Courtney and Grant. Two of the latest contestants on The Block which has been dazzling audiences this year on Channel Nine.

I am a big fan of their work so far and think they are the most likely to win this season and not without their faults. Audiences are often quite taken aback by their communication style and there are some interesting theories they are following a winning formula set by Steph and Gian.

  • I will ask about their relationship and what they think of watching their interactions on national TV with the rest of Australia.
  • You will get to hear us unpack their Modern-terranean theme and what influences led them to that styling.
  • This season there is some real challenges with multiple teams in terms of their builders and I curious what went wrong there.
  • We will even get an insight into the production and what they think of how this show gets put together.

There is so much to unpack with some fantastic secrets along the way. So sit back and relax as we unpack The Block’s biggest season to date.

CONTENT KINGS - TROY LUM - BOY SWALLOWS UNIVERSE21 Jan 202400:23:22

Hi everyone. Thank for clicking or downloading on todays episode of TV Reload with Troy Lum. We will be talking about Boy Swallows Universe which is out now on Netflix.

This Australian drama series for Netflix has an all-star Australian cast, stunning cinematography, an ’80s period setting that feels modern, and a fast-paced story that’s deadly serious but full of love, hope and humour.

An epic coming-of-age story set in 1980s Brisbane that blends the magic and innocence of youth with the brutal reality of the adult world. A lost father, a mute brother, a recovering addict mum, a heroin dealer for a stepfather, and a notorious criminal for a babysitter.

Adapted from Trent Dalton’s iconic Australian novel, Boy Swallows Universe explores the crossroads where a boy becomes a man, good toys with evil, and the everyday meets the extraordinary.

Today’s guest Troy Lum’s film career started in distribution and exhibition at Dendy Films in the late 1990s and while there he acquired and released some of the biggest independent movies in history including The Blair Witch Project and Amelie. At the age of 27, he launched Hopscotch Films alongside Sandy Don and Frank Cox. The independent distribution company’s many successful titles included Pan’s Labyrinth, Fahrenheit 911, The Sapphires, Spotlight and La La Land

Lum shares the role of  series and executive producer title with colleague Andrew Mason and with the massive success around the world I think we will continue to see plenty more collaborations with the two.

There is a lot to unpack with Troy, what drew him to this project, how they capture the tremendous performances from their young actors,  What techniques they used to balance out the bleak at times overtones with music and cinematography.

I will ask about the possibility to continue their relationship with author Trent and what their relationship was like and if there was a lot of pressure having the author on set.

Anyway, let’s bring Troy into the podcast, so sit back and relax as we dive just that little bit deeper into the world of Australian television.

REAL REALITY - LIZ ELLIS - GLADIATORS19 Jan 202400:23:23

G’day podcaster enthusiast. Thank for clicking or downloading on todays episode of TV Reload with Liz Ellis. We will be talking about the reboot of Gladiators which is out now on Network Ten and you can catch up on Ten Plus.

One of the most exciting and iconic sports entertainment gameshows in the world, Gladiators, made a triumphant return to Australian screens this week with a new tribe of 21st century super-humans – the Gladiators – who will wrestle, rumble, and battle brave Aussie Contenders from all walks of life, in the ultimate test of speed, strength, stamina, agility and power.

Welcoming the new generation of fans to the spectacle of Gladiators with charm, wit, and sporting expertise, are iconic sporting heroes and our hosts, Liz Ellis and Beau Ryan.

There is so much to unpack with Liz Ellis, what it was like to work with Beau Ryan, did they swap notes on their time in the jungle. If there is going to be another series?

I will ask about her ill fates screen test with Fevola and if she got in trouble for revealing that secret on national Radio..

Anyway, let’s bring Liz into the podcast, so sit back and relax as we dive just that little bit deeper into the world of television.

Danielle MacDonald - THE TOURIST - Actor03 Jan 202400:20:05

Thank for clicking or downloading on today's episode of TV Reload with Danielle MacDonald. We will be talking about The Tourist: Series 2 which is out now on Stan Australia

For the second series we pick up with Jamie Doran’s character Elliot and who is now in Ireland where he is discovering his real family to get some answers on who he really is after his Australia ordeal in series one. Of course Elliot gets caught up in all kinds of craziness with people trying to kill him and Danielle’s character is also back along for the ride.

While Danielle is an Australian actress, her work overseas is what has made her a household name. Staring in films like Dumplin with Jennifer Anniston, Birdbox with Sandra Bullock and the Fench Exit with Michelle Pfiffer. We have plenty to discuss to discuss today.

We will unpack her return to the popular Stan Original series The Tourist. Including why she came back to this role, what it was like to work alongside Jamie Doran and how she may have influence the story’s location change from Australia to Ireland. Maybe.

I will ask about how she stays cool working alongside A-listers, if she has Bullock, Aniston and Pfiffer's mobile numbers and fist full of fun stories from her very successful career thus far.

Anyway, let’s bring Danielle into the podcast, so sit back and relax as we dive just that little bit deeper into the world of television.

Nathalie Morris & Carlos Sanson Jr - BUMP - Actors26 Dec 202300:41:37

On today’s podcast I have Nathalie Morris and Carlos Sanson Jr from the hit series Bump which Stan Australia has released Season 4 today.

The Australian drama is made by TV legends Dan Edwards and his father John Edwards along with Claudia Karvan  and Kelsey Munro. I had the pleasure of chatted with Dan and Claudia earlier this year and if you missed those episodes of TV Reload make sure you jump back to hear their incredible stories.

In Bump season four we’ve jumped forward again – this time by two years. Oly played by my guest today Nathalie Morris and Santi played by my other guest Carlos Sanson Jr are back together, having finally stabilised their small family unit with their challenging seven-year-old Jacinda. Oly is now the breadwinner; Santi’s has found himself as the unhappy stay-at-home dad, and the endless interventions from their big mess of a family are going to either make or break them.

It is delicious writing. Superbly acted and like I said it is the perfect escapism at this time of the year.

  • We will talk about the casting of both their roles. Nathalie will talk about the way in which she created the character of Claudia Karvan’s daughter Oly and which of her iconic roles she watched to get inspiration.
  • Carlos will share his journey with the character and while it is widely know that Natalie has had an obvious mentor of the show - he will reveal who has been a true inspiration for him too.
  • We dive into their real relationship and find out what separates their onscreen romance with where they are both at now living together and if that has created any confusion.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of Bump. Which as I mentioned has started on Stan Australia today.

Anyway, let’s bring these amazing actors two into the podcast and guys I hope you enjoy this last episode of the podcast for 2023.

Gareth Whitton - DESSERT MASTERS - Winners Chat14 Dec 202300:31:02

On today’s episode of TV Reload I am joined by Gareth Whitton who was the winner from Dessert Masters Australia for 2023. The spin off from MasterChef Australia finished a few weeks ago and I have been looking forward to sharing this exciting look back at his time on the show.

Gareth is a chef with 18 years experience. After working in some of the world’s best restaurants, he started baking tarts at home during Melbourne’s COVID-19 lockdown.

Quickly, his neighbours (and shortly the whole of Melbourne) were lining up to taste his delicious goods. Which soon evolved into the opening of two ‘Tarts Anon’ locations.

Which… landed him a role as a guest judge on Masterchef Australia in 2022 and the opportunity to compete for the bragging rights of the dessert world in this latest televised competition.

  • I will find out about his relationship with the competition and why he thinks keeping it simple at times helped him win.
  • Garath will talk about the effect COVID had on the cooking world and why he felt disillusioned by the whole industry.
  • If you have wondered what kind of preparation and planning goes into these cooking shows. Gareth will also share what dishes he already locked in prior to filming the series.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘Dessert Masters’ Which is still available to watch on Ten Play if you missed any of the delicious episodes.

Tay & Ari - BIG BROTHER AUSTRALIA - Winners Chat07 Dec 202300:24:39

On today’s podcast, I have the winners of Big Brother Australia. This week we saw Tay and Ari take out the 2023 competition in a very well documented pre-recorded finale, that saw Australia vote in the sisters over loved up competition Louis and Minee!

In a nail biting Grand-Finale that had Australian viewers the most uncertain of their winner in the shows 22 year history... we saw siblings win for a 2nd time - not seen since the Logan twins in 2005 - Which even I had no bloody clue would win and thought Louis would win! Shows you what I know?

Both girls proved to be quite popular and powerful inside the house. They found love and made friendships proving the strongest connections was their ticket to winning Big Brother's game.

Big Brother focused in on love this series and while that did polarised the audience this year the experiment was still fascinating to see how a house full of potential singles would use their romantic relationships to get them to the end.

  • I will ask the girls about their relationships with Teejay and Josh and find out where they currently stand with both boys now the show is over!
  • We will unpack the pre-recorded finale and add further speculation to my theory that the first filmed winner when prerecording multiple endings is in fact always the actual winner!
  • The girls will reveal if being Tik Tok famous helped them win and if Australian Reality-TV is still appealing to content creators like themselves who can find broader audiences on larger and more lucrative social media platforms.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of that ‘Big Brother finale.’ Which you can catch up on - on ‘Seven Plus.’ Also the exclusive home of Big Brother Uncut!

Anyway, let’s bring Tay and Ari into the podcast and guys I think today’s podcast is actually the most compelling and informative chat I have recorded this season!! So buckle up as we celebrate this years winners time in the house!

Dion, Lewis & Josh - BIG BROTHER - Reality TV Contestants05 Dec 202300:40:47

On today’s podcast, I the next three eliminated housemates from Big Brother Australia. I have to admit I have been looking forward to chatting with Lewis almost as much as I was with GracieMae. He was fun and when he was shown he felt like a personality we hadn’t seen before.

Dion and Josh certainly have had their fair share of storylines this season and I am excited to have them on the podcast too.Lewis was GracieMae’s bestie who shocked viewers with his decision to keep $5,000 over allowing her to return to the house. He may have been better to keep her in my opinion as I think that was a better financial investment if they had won the show.

Dion will also be in on the chat to unpack that super lie to evict Teejay over sticking the boys decision to evict intruder Oli. That will be interesting because we have Josh here to give his perspective on that.Obviously with Josh having a solid relationship with Tay we can discuss if this year's Big Brother favoured contestants who were in a relationship…. And if that relationship was in any way strategy.

These guys are really fun and I am sure you will hear the love in the room while we get into some of their highlights.

  • I will ask how Graciemae reacted to Lewis offer to share the $5,000 and if he feels like eliminating her was the right thing to do?
  • Dion will talk about how he survived while being so loud and what his friendship with Josh looks after he swore on his mothers life.
  • All three will share their thoughts on the impending finale and who they think should win if they make the Grand Finale.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘Big Brother Australia.’ Which finishes tonight on ‘Channel Seven’ at seven thirdly ’ and if you have fallen behind you can catch up on - on ‘Seven Plus.’ Also the exclusive home of Big Brother Uncut!

Who will win tonight? You decide!

Luke, Ben & Wesley - THE BACHELORS - Reality TV Personalities04 Dec 202300:24:59

On today’s podcast I have Luke, Ben and Wesley who are Network Ten’s latest Bachelors!

All three had their hard launch last night on Network Ten…. And guys while a lot of viewers had lost their love of  this franchise I am here to tell you this season is better than ever.

Our Bachelors all join me today for a quick chat and while there was a small issue at the start of their record - I am sure you will enjoy meeting all the boys unfiltered and ready to unpack their time on the show.

‘Luke the Lumberjack’ is a proud self-proclaimed softie. He wears his heart on his sleeve and often wells up at the slightest sentimental moment. Not the usual ex football player if I can say that. With close-knit roots in rural Queensland, Luke has a deep bond with his family and works alongside them in the forestry trade.

While Bachelor Ben has travelled the world as a successful model in the past, it is his work as a sustainability entrepreneur that has his feat firmly on the ground. As an impact investor, Ben helps eco-friendly start-ups protect the environment and build better futures using renewable energy. I am mildly obsessed with Ben who will no doubt elicit a decent response from audiences this year.

Finally Wesley has a deep commitment to finding true love and upholding the values he was raised with. Throughout his dating life, Wes has struggled to move beyond the initial phases, often finding it hard to establish a lasting connection with someone who shares his vision of “The One.”

  • We will talk about their reservations signing up, if they called this exes and if their competitive nature in the way of their dating.
  • I’ll ask about Osher and what he is like to work with. Does he help give advice and why he makes a good TV host?
  • We will find out who would likely go on Only Fans, sign up for another reality show and who would marry a stranger?

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Bachelors.’ Which as I mentioned has started on Network Ten and you can catch up on Ten Play if you fall behind.

Osher Günsberg - THE BACHELORS - Presenter02 Dec 202300:29:15

On today’s podcast I have Osher Guinsberg who has been on Australian TV for 25 years. He has hosted 23 bachelor seasons from The Bachelor, to the Bachelorette, Bachelors in paradise and now the second version of The Bachelors. Thats a lot single of single people.

Osher can boast this show has had successful marriages and plenty of babies which have come out of these TV relationships. Pretty impressive when you think of the fact these people met on reality TV.

Osher shocked Network Ten publicity when we caught up today. with a shock make-over and I am pretty sure its o.k to leave in their reactions in at the start of this chat before we get started talking about this latest series launching on Sunday night at 7:30.

The new series is really fun, I have seen the first episode and I can tell you that what might not of have worked with the three "Bachelors" early in the year - this season is really exciting. It looks expensive, it looks classy but above all it feels romantic.

  • We will talk about why this series looks and feels so different and how the producers went above and beyond to make this the most romantic season yet.
  • I’ll ask about the pressures of being a TV Host and if men have the same pressures as female hosts.
  • We will talk editing and how the click of a finger can change the way an audience relates to the participants!

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Bachelors.’ Which as I mentioned is out on starts this Sunday night on Network Ten and you can catch up on Ten Play if you fall behind.

KRYSTAL - MID SEASON F-BOY ISLAND AUSTRALIA CHAT30 Aug 202400:20:03

Hi Guys, welcome back to TV Reload. Thank you for clicking or downloading on today’s episode with Krystal from F Boy Island who joins me to discuss this current series.

I want to check in with the girls mid season and Krystal was an obvious choice. As she has been consistently hilarious this season. This quick chat gives you a fresh look at what has been going down. So I hope you enjoy that inside scoop.

  • Krystal will talk about her reaction to the show and what has shocked her the most with watching it back.
  • We talk about male erections and when to send the cameras away. Which is just as awkward a conversation as it sounds.
  • I will discuss Doug, Caleb and the mids and how she really felt about her voice note to Caleb being used.
  • Everything from highlights to regrets - I have it all and let’s be real Krystal is always entertaining.

There is so much to talk about with so many inside revelations. So sit back and relax as we unpack the wonderful world of F Boy Island!

GracieMae & Teejay - BIG BROTHER - Reality TV Contestants01 Dec 202300:41:54

On today’s podcast, I have two eliminated housemates from Big Brother Australia. I have been looking forward to chatting with GracieMae all season and to be honest getting to know Teejay was also a massive bonus in today's catch up.

GracieMae was the fun loving original housemate with the feels of an old school Big Brother contestant. Her shock eviction was pretty epic with Minee but even more shocking was Lewis decision to take a 5,000 offer over allowing her return to the competition. After being half saved by Big Brother.

Teejay came in as an intruder but quickly won over his housemates. You be fair to assume his relationship with one of the sisters was strategic but you have to wonder if that worked out as Ari was the very reason he was evicted.

These two housemates are pretty chilled with their approach to unpacking the show and while Teejay joined us late due to technical difficulty. I have to admit this has been the best Big Brother chat this year.

  • I will ask find out from Graciemae if she was surprised by Lewis’s decision to keep the cash over allowing her return to the house and how that has effected their relationship.
  • Teejay will openly talk about his thoughts post his sudden eviction, to his real thoughts on Dion and what the current relationship status is with Ari!
  • Both couple will share who they wanted to win, what they thought of Sonia Kruger and what show GracieMae would like to do next.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘Big Brother Australia.’ Which returns next Monday night on ‘Channel Seven’ at eight thirsty’ and if you have fallen behind you can catch up on - on ‘Seven Plus.’ Also the exclusive home of Uncut!

Dr Kate - REAL HOUSEWIVES OF SYDNEY - Reality / TV Presenter28 Nov 202300:23:10

On today’s episode of TV Reload I am joined by Dr Kate from The Real Housewives of Sydney. Who I think is the break out star from the rebooted Sydney version of the popular housewife franchise.

Dr Kate Adams is an expert on pets and science. She is the owner of Bondi Vet Hospital, TV presenter and now the queen of the Australian Housewives series.

Kate will explain that she thought she would be the mushroom on the side of the plate with a daring decision to join the other Sydney socialites on the Foxtel / Binge reality-show and it will be interesting to unpack what has been a well received update to reality series.

  • I will find out how Kate was cast and what Dr Adam's worried about when signing on.
  • Dr Kate will discuss fur-gate and explain what she thought of Victoria’s decision to wear fur to an animal conservation park.
  • I will also find out if Kate will return for another series and how she feels being compared to Gina Linao.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘Real Housewives of Sydney’ Which drops on Tuesday nights on Binge and Foxtel.

Bella, Oli & Jake - BIG BROTHER - Reality TV Contestants25 Nov 202300:41:25

On today’s podcast, I the next three eliminated housemates from Big Brother Australia. Again, Big Brother seems to be evening up the score… with two male housemates being eliminated straight after a female intruder Bella was evicted on Monday night.

Jake and Oli were sent packing and now I am certain the only way to survive this year's house of love version of Big Brother is to be in a couple. Last week I said the show seems to have veered away from strategy and nomination talk - but as the numbers dwindled, we are starting to see players like Louis and Dion making some bold moves in attempt to make it to the final three.

First up I will chat to Bella. The Melbourne gymnast who came in as an original intruder, stirred up the house with her sparkling personality and good looks.

I will then chat to Jake and Oli and I will get the boys perspective on everything that went down while they were in the Big Brother house. Obviously they are both 10’s and I will be talking to them about why a love story did not eventuate for either of them?

  • I will find out from Bella if that kiss with Jake was something she was into and if she would have persuade Jake had she not been eliminated.
  • Jake and Oli will explain how the show may have gone if there wasn’t a 'love theme' with couples hooking up and if the eliminations might have been different if there wasn’t so many couples.
  • We will also find out how the elimination room requires a lockdown before each elimination and why the housemates found it hard to keep quiet.

Max McKenna - JONES FAMILY CHRISTMAS - Actor24 Nov 202300:17:52

On today’s podcast I have Max McKenna stage and screen actor well known for playing Mural in Mural's Wedding the musical that toured Australia. Max went on to  star alongside Natalie Bassinghtwaighte in Jagged Little Pill which I actually saw five times. Max is also the only child of Gina Riley one of my favourite comedians.

We are here to unpack their latest feature film role in Jones Family Christmas which is now available to watch on Stan Australia.

The Christmas feature involves an eccentric grandmother Heather Jones played by Heather Mitchell who finally managed to get her whole family under her roof for Christmas. But all is not as merry and bright in this rural home. From heartbreak and depression, to meddling mothers and forced frivolity – every member of Heather’s extended clan is fighting an internal battle.

This film is like a warm hug from your Mum and I hope you all take the time to see Max in this film - as they are sensational as the non binary youngest child in Jones Family Christmas.

  • We will talk about Max’s role in the film and if their own journey through gender and sexuality discovery helped writers and producers tell the most authentic story.
  • I’ll ask about their time playing Murial and if that role left as much of an impact on them as it did for Toni Collette.
  • Max will share some really fun stories about their mother Gina Riley and which character was their favourite growing up.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘Jones Family Christmas.’ Which as I mentioned is out on Stan Australia for you to watch now.

Adriano Zumbo - DESSERT MASTERS - Chef23 Nov 202300:14:05

On today’s episode of TV Reload I am joined by Adriano Zumbo who was is the 3rd eliminated contestants from Dessert Masters Australia on Network Ten.

Adriano is an Australian dessert king come television presenter. He opened his first patisserie in 2007 before rising to prominence as a frequent guest on Masterchef Australia. Many have described him as Australia’s own Willy Wonka and to be honest I whole hearty agree and will suggest probably  suggest opening his own chocolate factory in this chat.

This year Network Ten have treated audiences to this new series Dessert Masters which is a spin-off cooking show from MasterChef Australia with hosts Melissa Leong and Amoury Guechn Endemol Shine has recruited the best dessert chefs in the country to compete for the bragging rights.

While the idea to take on the Grease theme looked perfect for Zumbo - the wheels did come off for Adriano a few time while that Milkshake.. which by the looks better than anything I have ever made… yet sadly it was the reason we saw him packing.

  • I will find out if the producers approached him just to compete or if they asked him to hosts the new series
  • Adriano will share what exactly went through his mind as he was shockingly eliminated 3rd and if he regrets signing onto the series?
  • I will also find out if he is looking forward to seeing the new Willy Wokka film about to be released in December and if he grew up reading that book by Rohal Dahl.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘Dessert Masters’ Which is back on Sunday night at 7:30 and you can catch up on Ten Play if you have fallen behind.

Rhiann Mead - DESSERT MASTERS - Chef / Contestant18 Nov 202300:23:29

On today’s episode of TV Reload I am joined by Rhiann Mead who was the first eliminated contestants from Dessert Masters Australia on Network Ten.

Rhiann is the Head Pastry Chef at The Charles Grand Brasserie & Bar. After working so closely with Peter Gilmore at both Quay and Bennelong her resume was impressive enough to get the call to take part in the very first series of Dessert Masters.

The spin of cooking show from MasterChef Australia was announced at Network 10's UP-FRONTS in October 2022 and a second series has also been commissioned for 2024, with hosts Melissa Leong and Amour Guichon returning to the kitchen. The series already feels like a staple on our screens and you would really have to wonder who they will get next year.

While Rhiannon made the judges applaud her Plum Blossom & Scrabble Solitaire in the first two episodes of the series it was the Piggy Bank that didn’t crack that sent her home.

  • I will find out how Rhiann was selected and what kind of insights you get into preparing for the shows elaborate desserts.
  • Rhiann will share her thoughts on the judges popularity and how Melissa and Amoury have influenced her cooking.
  • We will go behind that last cook with Rhiann’s piggy bank and what she really thought of Kristen Tiballs cooking up the same idea.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘Dessert Masters Which is back on Sunday night at 7:30 and you can catch up on Ten Play if you have fallen behind. On the first week of amazing cooks.

Annalise, Zach & Luke - BIG BROTHER - Reality TV Contestants17 Nov 202300:46:35

On today’s podcast, I the next three eliminated housemates from Big Brother Australia.

I am pretty dubious about this but Big Brother seems to be evening up the score… with two boys being eliminated in a double eviction straight after Annalise was evicted on Monday night.

Zach and Luke were sent packing and I think that has a lot to do with their inability to find a partner to couple up with. This series is about find finding love and as the show veers away from strategy and nomination talk - it is interesting to hear that Big Brother has made a choice to focus on connections this year over what had become a pretty cut that competition over the last three years.

First up I will chat to Annalise the eloquent, natural beauty who proved to Big Brother she could talk talk underwater. A self confessed over-thinker with a stubborn side doesn’t mind telling people her truth and while that may work in the real world - it might have been the reason we are talking to her today.

I will chat to Zach and Luke straight after and I don’t know how you will hear it but while unpacking their time inside the house I feel like these two are both your quint essential Aussie bloke’s bloke who simply get along with everyone. They both come from different walks of life but their story isn’t too dissimilar.

  • I will ask find out from Annalise the truth behind her unrequited affair with Luke only to hear his unseen reaction to the fact he put her up for nomination.

Quan & AnnaSophia - BIG BROTHER - Reality TV Contestants10 Nov 202300:40:43

On today’s podcast, I the first two eliminated housemates from 'Channel Seven's' 'Big Brother Australia' 2023.

It is always pretty rough to watch the first few people go but 'Quan' and 'AnnaSophia' have taken it their stride… and are here to unpack their time in the house and give us some insights, that we as viewers might have seen.

'Quan' is a Government Policy Manager from Victoria who came to Australia when she was eight. She is Chinese, grew up in Vietnam and found her first few years in Australia quite difficult as she didn’t speak English and was bullied. When it comes to dating, Quan has a list of icks which may have stopped her from making as many relationships.

AnnaSophia is a glamorous, loud, queen bee from the Northern Beaches of Sydney. I thought Anna Sophia was very likeable and witty in todays chat and I am ow wondering what more we could have seen of her had she survived the second elimination.

  • I will ask if Quan how she felt about being first eliminated and what her parents actually thought about her time on the show.
  • AnnaSophia will talk about this seasons twist and if the love theme was distracting the housemates from playing a more strategic game.
  • We will also find out the truth behind uncut and how that show came about. Both girls will share how they found out and what all the housemates reactions were to be seen in explicit content.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘Big Brother Australia.’ Which returns next Monday night on ‘Channel Seven’ at 8:30... and if you have fallen behind on the first week you can catch up on - on ‘Seven Plus.’ Also the exclusive home of Big Brother: Uncut!

I am a big fan of Jules work. He knows how to make a show about renovating exciting for everyone. You might be there for the renovations. Who doesn’t mind a peel and reveal! You might be there for the drama and who doesn’t like being a fly on the wall. You have to ask yourself !

This is Julians third time on the podcast and there is nothing off limits…. With the most polarising cast to date.

Dami Im - MASKED SINGER - Singer / Song-writer09 Nov 202300:22:06

On today’s podcast, I have the winner  of ‘The Masked Singer’ ‘Dami Im,’ who successfully beat out Conrad Sewell and Darren Hayes in that epic season finale of the popular "bonkers" singing competition on Network Ten.

If you missed any of ‘Dami’s' performance as ‘Snow Fox’ you can go back and check them out on ‘Ten Play’. Honestly there are so many amazing classics that would make a fantastic album if 'Dami' was to put them all together.

'Dami' Im is an Australian singer and songwriter. She represented Australia at the 'Eurovision Song Contest' 2016 held in Stockholm, Sweden with the song "Sound of Silence", placing second and achieving the highest 'Eurovision Song Contest' score for Australia.

Dami also won ‘The Masked Singer’ on the very stage she won 'X Factor' ten years ago and what an amazing full circle moment for her as an artist.

There is so much to unpack with 'Dami' today and I am excited to ask her so many questions:

  • I will ask if 'Dami' used any tactic to hide her voice and if she knew who was behind the Bouncer and Grim Reaper masks?’
  • 'Dami' will share some of her insights into how making music has changed over the last decade and what her journey has been like since leaving 'Sony Music.'
  • We will find out which of the songs she sung will most likely be on a future album… not to mention some exciting details about a Christmas Album which is just about to drop.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Masked.’ Which returns next Monday night on ‘Network Ten’ and if you have fallen behind you can catch up on - on ‘Ten Play.’

Tim Robards - SAS AUSTRALIA - TV Personality04 Nov 202300:30:17

On today’s pod, I have 'Tim Robards' who joins me to talk about his epic time on 'SAS Australia.' Which came to its dramatic finish last week with 'Matthew Mitcham' and 'Tim' being the only two contestants to pass the 'SAS Australia' course.

'Tim Robards' has had a pretty active career in television since first appearing on 'The Bachelor.' From being the bachelor, to the jungle, to acting on 'Neighbours' amongst many other series, 'Tim' is here to tell you all about how challenging this latest TV venture was to film.

'SAS Australia' is huge show for 'Channel Seven' where celebrity contestants undergo a training programme that echoes the 'Special Air Service' selection. They face several challenges that test both their physical and mental capacity. With all the yelling from 'Ant Middleton' the whole time I am pretty sure the main prize win or lose is PTSD!

  • We talk about being called boring, his relationships with 'Craig McLachlan' and what 'Craig' was really behind the scenes.
  • I’ll ask 'Tim' if he felt he need to beat his wife Anna who did the series last year.
  • There is a lot to unpack with 'Tim’s' interrogation and we will talk about a time in his life that could have been explored and been more revealing.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘SAS Australia.’ Which finished last week 'Channel Seven' but you can still catch up on 'Seven Plus' if you missed it.

Sonia Kruger - BIG BROTHER - Presenter03 Nov 202300:30:31

On today’s podcast I have 'Sonia Kruger' who is back on the podcast to talk about 'Big Brother Australia.' Which is starting its15th series on 'Channel Seven' this Monday night at seven thirty.

However, all is not what it seems with a spicy twist to the series. A house full of single and ready to mingle housemates  all looking for love…. Which coincides with the return of 'Big Brother Uncut!'

Will 'Big Brother' play cupid with the housemates…. Will he mess with their relationships? 'Big Brother' himself is very unpredictable at the best of times and this series is going to offer something never done in the shows history…

Gold Logie winner 'Sonia Kruger' is more involved this time than ever before. Audiences will see 'Sonia Kruger' entering the house to evict housemates this year and that in itself is something of a game changing moment that works on many levels.

  • We will talk about the housemates and how the 2023 series’ focus on love will affect their game play!
  • I’ll ask Sonia if she would let her own daughter enter 'Big Brother' when she turns 18?
  • 'Sonia' will share why entering into the house in the morning can be a bit awkward for some male housemates..

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘Big Brother Australia.’ Which launches Monday night at Seven thirty on 'Channel Seven' and then will be screened four times a week with 'Big Brother Uncut' on 'Seven Plus…'

Courtney Act - MASKED SINGER - TV Personality01 Nov 202300:27:52

On today’s podcast, I have ‘Courtney Act,’ who has just had their identity reveal on ‘The Masked Singer’.

If you missed any of ‘Courtney’s’ performance  as ‘Cowgirl’ you can go back and check them out on ‘Ten Play’. I personally loved the full circle moment of ‘Courtney’ singing 'What about me?' which became a huge hit for ‘Shannon Noll’ the year they both stared on' Australian Idol.'

‘Shane Jenek’ better known for his stage name ‘Courtney Act,’ is an Australian drag queen, singer and television personality. ‘Courtney’ first came to prominence competing on the first season of ‘Australian Idol’ in 2003. After the show,  she went on to signed at ‘BMG Australia’ now known as ‘Sony Music’ and released that iconic single, “Rub Me Wrong", which made a decent splash on the ‘Aria Chats.’

There is so much to ‘Courtney’s’ story from ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ to winning ‘Big Brother UK’…. Those dance moves on ‘Dancing with the Stars’.. the LGBTI advocacy in this country and around the world.   There is so much to unpack and somehow ‘Courtney’ touches on everything effortlessly without ever sounding like they are big noting themselves.

I am a huge fan and this chat was everything I would expect from ‘Shane’ and also so much more.

  • I will ask if there were big discussions behind the scenes regarding the reveal and how they chose to reveal ‘Courtney’ and not ‘Shane?’
  • We will discuss that ‘Play School’ debacle and how dressing up as a cow is some how more acceptable than a man dressing as a woman!
  • We will find out which of the three judges had met ‘Courtney’ before and if politics is something ‘Shane’ would ever truely consider!

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Masked.’ Which returns next Monday night on ‘Network Ten’ and if you have fallen behind you can catch up on - on ‘Ten Play.’

Alex Mavrodakis - LOVE ISLAND AUSTRALIA - Executive Producer28 Oct 202300:54:02

On today’s podcast I have Executive Producer 'Alex Mavroidakis' who is proven to my most popular guest on this 'TV Reload' series.

I had lost count of his appearances on the podcast and while you'd be forgiven for thinking we have nothing left to talk about I am here to tell you you are WRONG. This is our best chat yet.

He has 'Love Island Australia' returning on 9Now, dropping at 6.00pm AEDT and then every Monday to Thursday, and a premiere special on 'Channel 9' after 'The Block.'

The Series 5 'Eras' theme is perfection and the men and women are hotter than ever…. And you know 'Alex' will hammer that point home every single time he has a new Love Island to promote.

But the best part about 'Alex' and I getting together is not just the genuine banter but the mind boggling stories that no other Executive Producer would dare to tell!

He is the essence and the benchmark all guests are held against.

  • We will talk about the casting of three particular 'Islanders'… which happened by mistake but sets up the most explosive shorelines that the show had ever seen.
  • We will talk nudity on free to air channels from uncut to up-late and yes 'Jamie’s' 'BB' 2006 trouser snake gets mentioned at some point. (All I’ll say to that is..... If you know you know.)
  • I will find out about the secret global council of 'Love Island' where some of the biggest minds of television meet to swap ideas.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘Love Island Australia.’ Which as I mentioned starts tomorrow.

Anyway, let’s bring 'Mav' into the podcast and guys I hope you enjoy this fun chat which I am sure will have you laughing and gagging to see this new series!

Eliza & Liberty - THE BLOCK - Reality TV Personalities27 Oct 202301:09:14

On today’s podcast I have House 5, Victoria’s contestants: ‘Eliza & Liberty’ arguably the most popular contestants from ‘The Block’ for 2023.

This series of ’The Block’ we have seen more drama than any other series so far…. and after 19 seasons that is a pretty big statement to make. Viewers have been up in arms, Karen’s on keyboards are out of control and even radio hosts have been called out contestants... but the ratings are up and it is currently the most watched show on Australian free-to-air television.

Some may say 'Eliza' and 'Liberty’s' contribution to the series has been just what the series needed to balance out the drama and others may say they are apart of the problem.

Both have potential careers in the media to consider and today we are going to get to the bottom of their thoughts feelings on every bit of there time on 'The Block' 2023!

  • I will talk about their issues with 'House Three' and how they feel about the way in which 'Kristy' and 'Brett' have been trolled online.
  • We will find out everything you need to know about their relationship with 'Hamish and Andy.' From if they helped get them on the show to if 'Andy' is going to buy their house!
  • You will get the girls predictions on the final auction and we will find out who 'Eliza' and 'Liberty' are planning a life long friendship with.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Block.’ Which  has its Backyard reveal this Sunday on ‘Channel Nine’ and you can Catch up on ‘Nine Now.’

Victoria Montano - REAL HOUSEWIVES OF SYDNEY - Reality TV Personality25 Oct 202300:18:51

On today’s podcast I have 'Victoria Montano' who is proving to be quite popular with the rebooted 'Real Housewives of Sydney' fans.

The first three episodes are out and I have to say I have my favourites already. As I am sure viewers have too. It is kind of the nature of the show… right?

However, I think 'Montano' has had some great one liners in her pieces to camera and I am living for the fact that during this interview she gave me a T-Shirt that says - it is bad manners to not botox your face… which I have given to my partner… as I clearly have bad manners!

'Victoria' is really good mates with 'Nicole' and 'Krissy' and their friendship really shows on camera…. Which I think is apart of the success of the new series.

  • We will talk about the women’s behaviour and if after nearly 20 years Housewives still reflects the social norms amongst real friendships.
  • We will unpack why there hasn’t been a gay man in the franchise and what Victoria thinks will be the biggest hurdle there.
  • We will find out there is no reunion episode again this season and Victoria will explain if she would actually consider returning.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Real Housewives of Sydney.’ Which you can catch up on - on ‘Binge’ or keep watching each week on Foxtel.

George & Pam AMAZING RACE - Reality TV Contestants21 Oct 202300:37:47

Today’s episode I am joined by Australian TV Royalty, King George & his younger sister Pam one of this week's teams eliminated contestants from ‘The Amazing Race: Celebrity Edition.

Full disclosure, I was talking to the dynamic duo in a different state where I can not see them on camera... and at first I wasn’t sure if Pam had joined the conversation…. so I am sorry if this chat has you wondering if I am ignoring Pam on purpose… that was certainly not the case. We however do get there, and I do get some fun answers out of George’s younger sister.

But I guess when you have someone as entertaining George who knows good chat and how to serve it - you will understand why the balance is a bit off even once I realise Pam is actually on the line…..

This is his third reality TV show on Network 10 and I am sure it won’t be his last. We have plenty to unpack in terms of Survivor vs amazing race. So expect some piping hot tea regarding the shows and their contestants. If you are listening Darren McMullin - maybe switch off now and take a walk outside.

  • I will find out how rest of the celebs reacted to George being cast and if there were any features ruffled by him getting top billing in the original promos.
  • George will discuss if he felt he lived up to his survivor brand. While Pam will explain if she was upset by Georges demanding behaviour.
  • There is some really insightful detail about his upcoming book and how George thinks manipulating people isn’t really what it seems.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Amazing Race Australia Celebrity Edition ’Which continues this Wednesday on Network Ten and you will be able to catch up if you miss it on Ten Play.

Leah & Ash - THE BLOCK - Reality-TV contestants20 Oct 202300:48:08

On today’s podcast I have House 2, Queensland’s contestants: ‘Ash and Leah’ arguably the most talked about contestants on ‘The Block’ 2023.

This series of ’The Block’ we have seen 'Leah' upset 'Steph' in a body corporate, befriend and be unfriended by 'Kristy.' Take 'Leslie' to task over her backyard budget and side with 'Eliza' in that green room show down…. all making 'Leah' one 2023’s most memorable Reality-TV contestants.

'Ash' hasn’t exactly sat back either and I think it has been nice to see him supporting his wife throughout the up's and downs - plus making a real go of their build which I think has had the most character in terms of styling.

This chat will give you everything you could possibly need in terms of unpacking all the houses and all the contestants. I think if anything this episode of TV Reload will give you an insight look into how survive a reality TV show when you are a tad polarising.

  • I will talk about the fall out with House 3 (Kristy and Brett) and ask if they regret pulling them aside to call out their behaviour?
  • We will find out their biggest regret and which contestant they wish had made more of an effort with during filming.
  • You will get 'Ash’s' predictions on the final auction and some insights into who was the most different on camera.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Block.’ Which has its Backyard reveal this Sunday on ‘Channel Nine’ OR you can Catch up on ‘Nine Now.'

Pete Murray - THE MASKED SINGER - Singer Songwriter17 Oct 202300:23:39

On today’s podcast, I have ‘Pete Murray,’ who has just had his very obvious reveal on ‘The Masked Singer Australia’ this week.

If you missed Murray’s performance  as ‘Tiny’ you can go back and check them out on ‘Ten Play’ and you really should because he was truly magnificent…. I loved his ‘Beach Boys’ and his ‘Post Malone.’ Actually who am I kidding I loved every song he performed over the month.

‘Pete Murray’ is an Australian musician who has had three albums reach number 1 on the Australian charts. ‘Murray’ has received 17 ARIA nominations throughout his career so far. He has sold over 1.2 million albums in Australia. So having him on The Masked Singer was a huge win for Ten!

I am a huge fan of ‘Pete’s’ and it is a joy to chat with him today.

  • I will ask if ‘Chrissie Swan’ and ‘Pete’ have actually ever met before and if she was pretending not to know him?
  • ‘Pete’ will talk about his decision to join the singing show… and if this is the only Reality TV he would do!
  • We will talk about his song choices over the last few weeks and what he had lined up next - if he had survived!

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Masked.’ Which returns next Monday night on ‘Network Ten’ and if you have fallen behind you can catch up on - on ‘Ten Play.’

SARAH WALKER - THE TWELVE s2 - FOXTEL17 Aug 202400:32:44

Hi Guys, welcome back to TV Reload. Thank you for clicking or downloading on today’s episode with Sarah Walker one of the creators, Executive Producers and writers on The Twelve Series 2. Which is mid season on Foxtel and Binge

I am a big fan of Sarah’s work over the years and in a past podcast contract I featured LGBTI guests - I had featured Sarah's story and in some ways it was my enjoyment talking TV with her that made me want to start work on this TV Reload podcast. So there you go. A little bit of trivia for those who have been listening since the start.

Sarah Walker is a highly experienced Australian author, screenwriter and script producer. She was the lead writer on Lingo/BBC1 ratings hit thriller The Secrets She Keeps and Foxtel’s The Twelve; she co created Network 10’s Wonderland and was script executive on the prison drama Wentworth.

  • I will ask about the shows future and if there will be more crimes for a new Twelve moving forward and how important Sam Neil is in the continuation of this story?
  • I will ask about the nature of Foxtel’s productions and how Brian Walsh legacy has played a part in making scripted drama.
  • This season feels a little easier to follow and its rare the second series is better than the first. So I will ask about the notes that were created before going into the writers rooms.
  • We will even get an update on the work Sarah has been doing with Charliese Theron and where those projects are currently at.

There is so much to unpack with some fantastic secrets along the way. So sit back and relax as we unpack The Twelve Series 2.

Krissy & Nicole - REAL HOUSEWIVES OF SYDNEY - Reality TV Stars14 Oct 202300:29:31

On today’s podcast I have 'Krissy Marsh' and 'Nicole O’Neil' who have returned to 'The Real Housewives of Sydney' this week. The show hit a bump in the road after the first season and both these girls managed to be the only two who survived the recasting.

'The Real Housewives' series is an international franchise that has become super popular around the world. Everyone seems to have their favourite city. I personally like 'Beverley Hills,' 'O.C' and 'Melbourne' but I was excited to see 'FOXTEL' give Sydney another shot.

It is fair to say the buzz is quite strong and the general consensus is the reboot is a much softer and more aspirational viewing and producers have found a much more enjoyable mix of characters.

'Krissy' and 'Nicole' are back and the two seem to be closer than ever. They both know each other through money and while they are richer and wiser than the last time we saw them it will be interesting to catch up with them today.

  • We will talk about the first series, what has changed and if some of the original women are annoyed they didn’t get asked back.
  • 'Nicole' and 'Kristy' will unpack the new cast and I will ask about the rumours surrounding each of their new friends. With some interesting answers.
  • We will get a glimpse of the drama this year as I ask about this years biggest storylines.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Real Housewives of Sydney.’ Which you can catch up on - on ‘Binge’ or keep watching each week on Foxtel.

Peter & Frankie Rowsthorn - AMAZING RACE - Reality TV contestants13 Oct 202300:23:08

Today’s episode I am joined by 'Peter Rowsthorn' and his daughter 'Frankie'  one of this weeks teams eliminated from ‘The Amazing Race: Celerity Edition.

This season has been pretty hectic with conditions too hot to handle for some Australian Celebrities and with 11 celebs left at the start of the week the pressure has been on for every team left in the competition.

Peter is very well known for his role as 'Brett' on 'Kath and Kim.' He isn’t a stranger to reality TV either after taking part in 'I’m a Celebrity' but this time we got to see him as a Dad with his choice to take his daughter on the celebrity edition of 'Amazing Race.'

  • I will find out everything you need to know about his cast mates and get the tea on who was the most competitive to how hectic the conditions were?
  • We will discuss how he was cast and if his daughter said yes straight away?
  • We will also discuss his iconic role as 'Bret't (the long suffering partner of 'Kim') and if there is a way his character could ever return without 'Kath or Kim?'

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Amazing Race Australia Celebrity Edition ’Which continues this Wednesday on Network Ten and you will be able to catch up if you miss it on Ten Play.

Tarryn Stokes - THE VOICE AUSTRALIA - Winner10 Oct 202300:26:38

On today’s podcast I have 'Tarryn Stokes' who has just won 'The Voice Australia' for 2023. The Mum of two, was just as shocked as the rest of Australia to take out the competition.. Beating tough competitors in 'Charlie,' 'Ezra' and 'Ethan.'

Those final epic song choices of 'Simply the Best' and 'All By Myself' locked her in as the winner with LIVE audiences. If you ask my opinion. Helping 'Rita Ora' win as coach for the second year running.

The Victorian singer received $100,000 and a record label deal with 'Universal Music Australia.' At the age of 40, she has become the show's oldest winner since the shows inception in 2012.

  • We will talk about the way in which this show is made how much time it takes to film a whole series and how she celebrated the win.
  • 'Tarryn' will talk about her future in the music biz and how she plans to collaborate with one of the shows contestants who didn’t quite make the finale.
  • We will discuss her relationship with 'Rita Ora' and how the two will continue their relationship moving forward.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The voice Australia.’ Which you can catch up on - on ‘Seven Plus’ which I have been doing all week especially rewatching those finale performances.

Ella May Ding - LOVE TRIANGLE - Narrator08 Oct 202300:34:22

On today’s podcast I have 'Ella May Ding' who most of Australia would know from 'Married At First Sight' but is now the narrator of 'Love Triangle' a different dating show with a big twist now on Stan Australia.

The 'MAFS' alumni "never thought in her wildest dreams" she would be a TV narrator – let alone for another dating series. However, with a very worldly tone to her voice and enough experience in the game - I think this transition from reality TV participant to TV Presenter is going to be a smooth transition.

Since we last saw her on television - she has spilt from Mitch, her former TV husband and found love again. Her career in television is on the up and if you missed the first season of 'Love Triangle' that is no bother to her, as there is plenty of time to catch up on the popular 'Stan Australia' streaming service.

  • We will talk about the way in which this show works, from setting up three singles up blindly via text to the judgmental way we all approach dating.
  • 'Ella' will talk about her social media and if she worries about being cancelled for her opinions. What she thinks of the 'Dominica' vs 'Olivia' debacle now that there is more water under the bridge and how she has grown from her reality TV experience.
  • We will discuss some of the shows first matches in episodes 1 and 2. Who 'Ella' thinks did a good job standing up for themselves and if there is a real chance of finding love?

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘Love Triangle.’ Which you can catch up on 'Stan Australia’ which already has dropped the first two eps of series two this week.

Shaynna Blaze - THE MASKED SINGER - TV Presenter06 Oct 202300:21:03

On today’s podcast, I have ‘Shaynna Blaze,’ who has just had her massive reveal on ‘The Masked Singer Australia’ this week.

If you missed 'Shaynna’s' performance, as a singing Blue-Bottle you can check it out on 'Ten Play' because it was fantastic to see her smash those songs on Monday night!

'Shaynna Blaze' is an Australian interior designer, television personality, writer and former singer. She is best known for her work on shows like 'Selling Houses Australia' and a judge on 'The Block.'

There has been much controversy about her time on 'Network Ten’s' singing show as 'Masked Singer' is on at the same time as her other show 'The Block.' Which we all know is on 'Channel Nine.'

I am a huge fan of Shaynna  and it is a joy to chat with her today.

  • I will ask ‘Shaynna if she asked 'Channel Nine' for permission and which co-stars from ‘The Block’ have contacted her for congratulations?
  • 'Shaynna' will discuss her singing voice and how she managed to keep this gig a secret from her family..
  • We will talk about 'Shaynna' about her singing ability and if she plans to focus on a singing career. I think she really should.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Masked.’ Which returns next Monday night on Network Ten and if you have fallen behind you can catch up on - on ‘Ten Play.’

On today’s podcast I have Radha & Prahba the winners of My Kitchen Rules 2023 joining me to discuss this weeks grand finale on Channel Seven.

Raised by a single mother after their father passed away when they were just two years old, cooking became a way for Radha and Prabha to feel connected to their mum while keeping their father’s memories alive. I am not crying you are!

Beyond their culinary prowess, these twins are deeply passionate about helping others. Prabha works in cancer research, while Radha is currently on the path to becoming a lawyer. So beyond behind great cooks they are both super smart.

This season of the long running reality series saw the girls navigate their way through kitchens, dramas and the critics of Manu, Colin Fassnidge and Nigella Lawson.

  • I will talk about their twin advantage and if they thought their express pass helped or hindered their win.
  • Radha and Prahba will share what the tension was really like between the contestants and why they had to wait till the show went to air for a winner to be announced!
  • We will discuss the judges and of course I will ask which judge was their favourite and we will also find out how the girls reacted to the win and if they contacted the runners up?

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘MKR.’ Which you can catch up on Seven Plus if you want to relive the dramatic finale?

Kristy & Brett - THE BLOCK - Reality TV Contestants30 Sep 202300:45:30

On today’s podcast I have House 3, South Australia’s contestants: ‘Kristy and Brett’ arguably the villains from ‘The Block’ for 2023.

This series of ’The Block’ started off making headlines for the tension between Houses 2, 3 against house 4. What we didn’t see was house 5 getting involved and the women from house 2 and 3 turning on each other. It is a lot!

Not since 'Melrose Place' have we had so much drama in such a small place and the behaviour has been dividing fans.

'Scotty Cam' and the show’s 'Executive Producer' have referred to 'Kristy and Brett' as the shit stirrers of the season but today we are going to get a much picture drawn on who these two really are?

  • I will talk to 'Kristy and Bret't about their online nick names and what they think of their villain edit?
  • We will find out everything from tin foil hats, secret advantages, edits, fights, frauds and tantrums and where they sit with the rest of the cast at the moment.
  • We will talk about their relationship and how they have supported each other while watching the show back?

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Block.’ Which  has its next room reveal this Sunday on ‘Channel Nine’ and you can catch up on ‘Nine Now.’ If you have fallen behind.

Beau Ryan - THE AMAZING RACE AUSTRALIA - TV Presenter29 Sep 202300:27:35

Today’s episode I am joined by 'Beau Ryan' the host of ‘The Amazing Race Celerity Edition.' Who is here to brief you on the most epic season of the show Australia has ever seen.

From culture shock, meagre budgets and the pressure of a non-stop race, Australian celebrities racers and their race partners will be tested in ways we’ve never seen before.

Each episode the celebrities including 'Grant Denyer,' 'George from Survivor,' 'Ben Gillies' from 'Silverchair' amongst many others meet at the starting line by today’s guest 'Beau Ryan,' who will be sure to throw twists and turns their way as they race across the globe.

'Beau Ryan' is an Australian television presenter, actor and singer and former professional rugby league footballer. He played for the 'Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks' and the Wests Tigers in the 'National Rugby League.' 'Ryan' is also well known for his comedic work on 'The Footy Show' and he has always been a good friend to me.

We do mention his friend 'Bruno' a couple of times and I thought I would quickly address that is a mutual friend of ours.. he is a bloody legend and hey you should google him.

  • I will find out if celebs are better at 'Amazing Race' than the usual players and if they were more demanding.
  • We will discuss how hard it is to step back from hosting shows like this and being a contestant. If it is a massive hit to the ego for people like 'Grant Denyer' and 'Darren McMullin.'
  • We will also chat 'Gladiators' and how excited he is to be hosting that series and why he makes TV shows for families these days.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Amazing Race Australia Celebrity Edition.’ Which launches this Wednesday the 4th of October on 'Network Ten' and you will be able to catch up if you miss it on 'Ten Play.'

Summer Warne - THE MASKED SINGER - Contestant26 Sep 202300:18:46

On today’s podcast, I have ‘Summer Warne,’ who has just had her massive reveal on ‘The Masked Singer Australia’ this week.

If you missed 'Summer’s' performance  as a singing bad avocado you can check it out on 'Ten Play' because it was fantastic to watch 'Shane Warne’s' youngest daughter dressed as a Bad Avocado and singing. With a gorgeous tribute to her dad.

'Summer' has had a very interesting start to life with both parents being absolutely hounded by media, day in and day out from the day she was born.

Since the passing of her father in 2022 there has been so much interest and support for his three kids and this appearance wad really special to see her make a fitting tribute to her dad. I had tears in my eyes and I don’t think I will hear 'Coldplay’s' Yellow the same way ever again.

  • I will ask ‘Summer’ about the way in which she found herself on the show and if her siblings would ever get up and sing like this?
  • ‘Summer’ will talk about her famous fathers famous friends and what she really thought of his ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
  • We will talk about 'Summer’s' singing ability and where she would like to turn up next. I think the team at 'Neighbours' would fools not to have her on that show - now it is back.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Masked.’ Which returns next Monday night on Network Ten and if you have fallen behind you can catch up on - on ‘Ten Play.’

Kick Gurry - CAUGHT - Actor Writer Producer Creator23 Sep 202300:30:56

On today’s podcast I have 'Kick Gurry.' An Australian actor who has been on our screens for over two decades.

He has started alongside 'Tom Cruise,' 'Christina Ricci,' 'Pia Mirranda' and so many others. In a career where he has collected relationships and connections that has ultimately led him to this new series we are here to talk about today.

'Caught' is a brain child that came out of the Melbourne lockdowns. 'Kick' gained the interest of 'Sean Penn,' signed him up as Executive Producer. Signed up friends 'Matthew Fox,' 'Alexander London,' 'Lincoln Younes' amongst many others. Not to mention 'Susan Sarandon' and 'Bryan Brown' both cinematic legends.

'Caught' sees Four Australian soldiers sent on a mission to a war-torn country who are captured by freedom fighters  whom they convince to produce a hostage video that goes viral. It is a satirical comedy that is bold and goes for laughs where most other film makers would not dare.

'Kick' is the Writer, producer, director and star of 'Caught' and I can’t wait to hear how this all came together.

I will talk about gaining the interest of 'Sean Penn' and how his involvement affected the production of the show.

'Kick' will talk about the essence of the series and how 'Caught' reflects modern society. In terms of who we are on social media and the pathway to everyone now wanting to be famous.

Along the way we will unpack the giant penis scene and Kick will reveal how many people were allowed on set for that naked shoot.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘Caught.’ Which comes out on Stan Australia September 28th!

KATE MILLER HEIKIE - THE VOICE AUSTRALIA - CHANNEL SEVEN15 Aug 202400:15:08

Hi Guys, welcome back to TV Reload.

Thank you for clicking or downloading on today’s episode with Kate Miller Heike who has joined the Voice Australia alongside Guy Sebastian, Adam Lambert and LeAne Rimes this year. I have her her today to unpack the new series that launches on Monday night on Channel Seven at 7:30pm.

Kate is known for her music and her longstanding abilities to make a name for herself amongst an industry that no longer produces Aussie artists the way it use to. Rcord labels are behaving differently and people are finding music differently but Kate has managed to navigate some amazing career highlights in mainstream media. Like Eurovision, Cochlea and even TV shows like The Masked Singer Australia. Oh and not to mention the recognition amongst the Aria’s.

  • I will talk about how she got along with the judges and what she has been left thinking about her time on the show. (As the show was recorded early this year)
  • You will find out about the way she was cast including the revelation she had to auction for the job. Which I think is fascinating.
  • There is an opportunity to talk the conscious decisions Kate made about joining this show. If she believes she could turn a reality TV star into a successful recording artist and ever her insecurity about being on the show up against the other coaches altered deliveries.
  • We also discuss the theories there could be a competitive edge amongst the the two countries or if the judges are in it for themselves

There is so much to talk about with Kate. So sit back and relax as we unpack the wonderful world of The Voice Australia!

Isis Avis Loren - RUPAULS DOWN UNDER - Winner22 Sep 202300:22:04

Today’s episode I am joined by the winner of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: Down Under’ Series 3. It’s the fabulous ‘ISIS AVIS LOREN!’

The Melbourne based drag queen has been dragging it up for over a decade, with hosting, lip syncing and over 15 years experience in suing and designing. To say 'Isis Avis' brought a polished performance is an understatement.

From helping the other queens, her 'Donatella' in the snatch game and the 'Kylie' Green-Fairy that actually worked… Isis walked away with the crown and the only negative I can say we kind of knew who the winner was on episode one. Avis was that good!

  • I will find out how 'Isis' celebrated the win and who was sitting right beside her that made the night so special.
  • 'Isis' will unpack the highs and lows from the series and talk about the most common question she gets from the fans.
  • You will get an exclusive reveal of the 'Miss Congeniality' in the eyes of this years winner and we will talk Allstars and if the winners should return.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘RuPual’s: Down Under'. Which is now available to watch on ‘Stan Australia.’

Sandra Sully - THE MASKED SINGER - News Journalist19 Sep 202300:22:26

On today’s podcast, I have ‘Sandra Sully,’ who has just had her massive reveal on ‘The Masked Singer’ this week.

If you missed the performance you can check it out on 'Ten Play' because it was fantastic to see Australia’s most recognisable female newsreader dressed as a singing fawn.

As an Australian news presenter and journalist, Sandra Sully is mostly known for her work on Network 10 where she presents Australia's top stories nationally.

'Sandra' stepped out of her comfort zone and showed a heart warming new side to her personality on 'The masked Singer' which would have been a breath of fresh air for a serious journalist known for being the first Australian television journalist to cover the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

‘Sandra’ is a bright personality, with a vast knowledge and a quick thinker.

It is a joy to chat with her today.

  • I will ask ‘Sandra’ what she thinks of the rumours the masks have actors in the suits and are simply miming.
  • ‘Sandra’ will reveal the person who convinced her to take on the popular reality show and what she really thinks of her singing voice.
  • We will talk about the songs ‘Sandra’ was learning which we didn’t get to see and how she covered up her absence from the news desk to take part in the singing competition.

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Masked.’ Which returns next Monday night on Network Ten and if you have fallen behind you can catch up on - on ‘Ten Play.’

Kyle & Leslie - THE BLOCK - Reality TV Contestants15 Sep 202300:32:07

On today’s podcast I have House 1, WA contestants: ‘Kyle and Leslie’ the viewers fan favourites on ‘The Block’ for 2023.

This series of ’The Block’ has been making headlines for the tension between Houses 2, 3 and 4. Which is where we have seen more of that drama but audiences haven’t forgotten 'Kyle and Leslie' especially after Kyle shut down a one sided narrative at the first body corporate meeting.

The Block is has always divided fans over the shows format. As some people are their for the renovations and others are there for the drama - I think this year has been super juicy because both are quite phenomenal to watch.

As we know this season is set in the family-friendly Melbourne suburb of ‘Hampton East,’ the new series features five houses designed and built in the 1950s but all getting the Block treatment in true 'Channel Nine' style.’

  • I will talk to 'Kyle and Leslie' about this years conflict and if they were worried they would come across boring.
  • We will find out how the show has changed their lives and what their kids think of Mum and Dad when they don’t get the best results.
  • We will talk about validation and if some contestants need more positive reinforcement than others?

Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Block.’ Which has its next room reveal this Sunday on ‘Channel Nine’ and you can catch up on ‘Nine Now.’
