| Why You Keep Falling Back Into Old Patterns (Even When You're Doing the Work) Ft. Jelena Holodkova | 25 Jul 2026 | 00:54:19 | |
If you've been doing all the inner work- the journaling, the therapy, the mindset shifts- and still feel like you're spinning in the same old patterns, this episode is for you. It's all about how sometimes the missing piece is changing your environment. So much can happen and shift when you switch up where you are and who you surround yourself with. I'm joined by my incredibly wise friend Jelena, who has been on the podcast so many times we've lost count, and honestly, our conversations never get old. We recently reunited in Thailand and I knew after our time together it was time to record another episode. The topic we're diving into today is one that I think is genuinely underrated in the personal development world: your environment. We talk a lot about doing the internal work, but what happens when that work isn't landing because everything around you is still keeping you stuck? Jelena spent 15 years in corporate banking in London before her life completely turned upside down at the end of her twenties. Her thirties have been a radical journey of self-discovery, moving countries, changing her entire social world, and stepping into her calling as a somatic coach and breathwork facilitator. We met on a trip to Costa Rica when both of us were in moments of real transition — and that trip itself is actually a perfect example of what this episode is all about. In this episode we cover:
✨ Ready to change your environment? The Turning Retreat is your invitation. Everything we talked about in this episode: the power of new environments, the incubator effect of retreats, the transformation that happens when you're surrounded by women doing this work , that is exactly what I've designed the Turning Retreat to be. October 4–10, 2026 | Koh Samui, Thailand A week inside one of the most stunning wellness resorts on the island, nestled in the jungle and minutes from where I actually live. We're going to go deep - somatic work, a transformational coaching program written by me, a cacao ceremony, a floating sound bath, and breathwork and energy healing with our incredible guest facilitator Kady Gummerson We have a beautiful group of women already booked in, and there are still spots left. If something in this episode is pulling you toward it, that's not an accident. It's divine timing! This October, I'm hosting a 7-day immersive coaching and wellness retreat for women in their 30s at Absolute Sanctuary in Koh Samui, Thailand. From October 4-10, 16 women will gather for daily coaching workshops, breathwork, yoga, a floating sound bath ceremony, Thai cooking, and a closing beach ceremony at sunset. Join at a very special early bird rate (ends June 2nd). Only 16 spots. Book your spot: https://www.turning30coach.com/turningretreat2026 This week I'm doing something a little different. I was a guest on Lucy's podcast, and we had such an honest conversation that I wanted to share it here too. Lucy is a therapeutic coach for women who excel at everything except relationships. After nine years on the trading floor, she found herself privately spiralling over situationships, emotional breadcrumbs, and relationships that never quite became what they promised. Work was easy to master. Intimacy was not. We talked about what it really felt like to be the single friend in our late 20s and early 30s, attending 13 weddings in one year, feeling like a spectator in other people's successes, and that hollow feeling of coming home after celebrating everyone else's milestones. What we cover:
ABOUT LUCY Since 2021, Lucy has worked with high-performing women from organisations including BlackRock, J.P. Morgan, and Citigroup. Her work blends deep lived experience with world-class training from Layla Martin and Dr. Gabor Maté. | From Exhausted Dater to Finding Love in her Thirties Ft Lauren Josephine | 09 Apr 2026 | 00:54:03
Have you ever wondered if love could actually find you somewhere you weren't even looking? This week I'm joined by Lauren Josephine: dating author, relationship coach, and someone who went on over 200 dates before meeting her husband... on Reddit. Lauren spent 10 years navigating the apps, the love bombing, the ghosting, and the heartbreak that so many of us know too well. In this episode, she shares honestly about what finally shifted for her, and why the answer wasn't another app or another strategy, but learning to trust herself. We get into so much in this conversation:
This is one of those conversations that will stay with you. Whether you're deep in your single chapter right now or just starting to think about getting back out there, Lauren's story is a reminder that love can happen in the most unexpected ways, and that your timeline is working for you, even when it doesn't feel like it. | The One Decision That Changed My Love Life (It Wasn't About Dating) | 31 Mar 2026 | 00:25:41
Starting April 6th we're kicking off a live run-through of the Next Chapter program inside the Turning community and this episode is the story of exactly where it came from. The Next Chapter is Emma's signature coaching program: 20+ videos, a 100-page workbook, four workshops, and a community to go through it all with. It has previously been available for up to $1,000 — right now you can access it as part of your Turning membership for just $83/month, along with live coaching, guest expert sessions, daily resources and so much more. If you've been listening to the podcast and wondering what it would look like to actually do the work, this is it. 👉 Join Turning here: https://turning.circle.so/checkout/your-turning-membership The doors are open until midnight on April 5th. This week's episode is a solo one, and it's a story Emma has never told in full before on the podcast. It's about what happened after the big 2020 breakup (not the breakup itself, but what came next). And it's the story that explains exactly where the Next Chapter program was born. It’s all about how you need to be a little more delusional and a little less realistic in order to build the life that you want. In 2020, within the space of one week, Emma lost her relationship, her job, and her home — with zero savings and no idea what was coming. A few months later, despite being in debt and genuinely questioning everything, she said yes to a last-minute trip to a hilltop villa in Greece. Something told her she had to go. That week changed everything. In this episode:
This episode is for you if you're in a transitional moment right now. Maybe you're coming out of a breakup, questioning your career, thinking about solo travel, or just feeling like something needs to shift but you don't know where to start. Sometimes the most responsible thing you can do is the thing that looks irresponsible from the outside. https://www.turning30coach.com/turning-lp
| How to Survive a Break-up with Cole Zesiger | 06 Mar 2026 | 00:57:23 | |
This week I'm joined by Cole Zesiger, a breakup and relationship coach who has helped over 2,000 people navigate heartbreak. After going through a divorce at 23 and jumping into a rebound relationship that also ended, Cole rebuilt his life from scratch and now teaches others how to do the same. He also just released his first book, Exes and No's: The Breakup Advice You Don't Want to Hear. This is one of the rare episodes where we have a male guest, and I loved getting Cole's perspective on breakups, rebounds, and what it actually takes to be ready for love again. What we cover:

| The slow-burn: how to date slower to call in love | 17 Feb 2026 | 00:19:29 | |
Think you need fireworks on the first date to know they're the one? In this episode, Emma challenges everything we've been taught about how love is supposed to feel at the start. What we cover: The difference between a fast burn and a slow burn, and why rushing through the early stages of dating often means skipping the check-ins that actually matter. Why those "I just knew" stories you see on Instagram aren't the full picture, and what most love stories actually look like behind the scenes. The dating masks we all wear. Even if you think you're being your authentic self, Emma explains why it takes time for the real versions of both people to show up. How Emma and Ellie navigated the early days of their relationship, including why a three-week trip apart actually helped them. Practical tips for slowing down without dragging things out, from choosing better date activities to reframing how you ask important questions. Why going slow at the start often leads to things speeding up later, and how to trust that process when you're feeling the pressure of your 30s. | What to Do When You're "Doing All the Right Things" But Love Still Isn't Coming | 03 Feb 2026 | 00:25:47
Ever caught yourself saying "I'm doing everything right, so why isn't it working?" You're not alone. In this episode, Emma unpacks that phrase so many women use when they join the Turning community, and what it often reveals underneath. What we cover: Is there really such a thing as "doing all the right things" when it comes to love? Emma challenges the idea that love works like other areas of life where effort equals results. Unlike your career or friendships, love has an element of randomness and divine timing that we simply can't control. The difference between wanting love and being open to it. Emma shares her own story of how she turned down Ellie two years before they got together, not because she didn't want a relationship, but because she had deep inner work to do first. Desire and openness aren't the same thing. How to tell if you're truly ready. Emma offers a simple thought experiment: imagine someone handed you an envelope containing a real, past-the-honeymoon-phase relationship starting tomorrow. What comes up for you? Your honest reaction might reveal more than you expect. What to actually focus on during this chapter. Instead of treating single life as a waiting room, Emma encourages you to get curious about what genuinely lights you up and to do the inner work that opens your heart to receive love when it does arrive. | Manifesting from the Heart; healing your inner child and a new way to call in love Ft Estelle Bingham | 06 Nov 2025 | 00:47:32
What if the key to everything you’re calling in — love, purpose, peace — isn’t in your mind, but in your heart? In this deeply grounding and expansive conversation, Emma sits down with Estelle Bingham, therapist, spiritual teacher, and author of Manifest Your True Essence, to explore a whole new way of thinking about manifestation — one rooted not in mindset hacks or vision boards, but in emotional truth, inner child healing, and the heart’s intelligence. Estelle shares how our deepest beliefs, past experiences, and ancestral patterns shape what we attract, and how learning to listen to our hearts can transform not just what we call in, but how we relate to ourselves along the way.
If you’ve been doing everything right (journaling, therapy, affirmations) but still feel stuck, this episode will meet you where you are. It’s for the woman who’s exhausted from trying to fix herself, who’s wondering if she’s fallen behind, and who’s craving a softer, more embodied way forward. Estelle and Emma remind you that you don’t need to “earn” love, peace, or joy, you just need to come home to yourself. Because healing and manifestation aren’t about forcing outcomes. They’re about remembering who you are, and trusting that the universe responds to the frequency of your truth. Connect with Estelle: Estelle Bingham, known as “The Heart Whisperer”, is an holistic therapist, healer, and metaphysical teacher. | The cure for chronic pain and anxiety ft Nicole Sachs LCSW | 16 Oct 2025 | 01:00:34
In this deeply personal episode, Emma sits down with psychotherapist and mind-body expert Nicole Sachs to explore the unexpected connection between our emotional world and physical symptoms. For the first time publicly, Emma shares her own journey through debilitating postpartum health issues - eczema, joint pain, vertigo, and the crushing fear that something was seriously wrong. What she discovered changed everything: her body wasn't broken. It was speaking. Nicole, author of Mind Your Body and creator of the Journal Speak method, explains how chronic pain, anxiety, and mystery symptoms are often our nervous system's way of protecting us from overwhelming emotions we haven't processed. Through stories, science, and radical self-compassion, this conversation reveals why the cure you're seeking might not be in a prescription — it might be in your own pen. Inside this episode:
If you're in your 30s and your body feels like it's betraying you (or if anxiety has become your constant companion), this episode is for you. Maybe you've been told there's nothing wrong, or that you'll just have to "manage" your symptoms forever. Maybe you're exhausted from trying everything and getting nowhere. You're not broken. You're not making it up. And you're definitely not alone. What if the pain, the panic, the sleepless nights aren't life sentences, but invitations? Invitations to finally listen to the parts of yourself you've been too busy, too scared, or too conditioned to silence. This work isn't about perfection. It's about presence. It's about pausing long enough to ask: What is my body trying to tell me? You deserve to feel at home in your own skin. And that journey? It can start today. 📲 Connect with Emma (Turning 30) on Instagram at @turning30coach Nicole Sachs, LCSW is a psychotherapist, bestselling author, and internationally recognized leader in mind-body medicine. | Challenges and Life Lessons from Every Year of My Thirties | 13 Feb 2025 | 00:45:09
Before I reached my thirties I had a (very untrue) perception that life in my thirties would get easier, I would be more of an ‘adult’ and life would seamlessly flow along. I was in for a shock when I realized quite quickly that adulting isn’t really a feeling (not one that was going to come in my thirties) and that this decade was full of huge changes, decisions and challenges. In this vulnerable and honest solo episode I am reflecting on each year of my thirties and I have picked one big challenge I went through and the subsequent lesson I learned and took with me on my thirties journey. The stories I am sharing range from discussing career uncertainties, relationship struggles, feelings of being left behind, and welcoming in new chapters and identity shifts. | Great Relationships Come to Those Who Wait: why it’s a good thing to find love later on | 30 Sep 2024 | 00:48:25

My hot take (that some may disagree with me on until you listen to this episode) is that the best relationships come to those who wait for them.
We have been fed the belief that those who end up with their high school sweethearts are the lucky ones, while those who remain single in their thirties are unlucky in love- but what if this just isn’t true? What if the greatest love stories happen later than we initially planned?
In this episode I argue my case for why I believe that when people meet when they have already established their identity and have spent a significant time alone, they can have better romantic relationships.
I also divulge the juicy details of how I met my fiancé and how our story is a great example of why a good relationship can come after two people have already got to know themselves, spent time focusing on their self-development and are ready to take the next steps.
This episode is for you if you have ever doubted your journey and how long it is taking you to find love.

| Reflections On My Journey of Being Single at 33 to Becoming a Mother at 36 | 12 Jun 2024 | 00:41:26 | |
My journey of going through a break-up at 33 created panic about whether I would be able to have children and if time was ‘running out’ for me.
I used this time in my thirties to create a life that I love, whilst also focusing on my desire to meet someone and start a family with them.
Fast forward four years and my path unfolded and a few months before my 37th birthday I gave birth to Lenny, my first child. In this episode I am answering your questions about what it has been like to become a mother at this age, later than I had anticipated.
We live in a world where, despite the fact that becoming a mother from the ages of 35-40 is becoming more common, there are still fears and misconceptions about a woman’s ability to get pregnant after the age of 35.
The episode covers:
Was it difficult to get pregnant at this age and did I use the eggs that I had frozen at age 35
The taboo of talking about getting pregnant successfully
Was I treated differently in my pregnancy and birth because of my age (the term ‘geriatric pregnancy’ often scares women into having a baby)
An honest and vulnerable share about the positives and negatives of having a baby at this age

| How to Deal With Panic In Your Thirties, Feeling Lost and Doing The Work To Turn It All Around Ft Kam Sagoo | 22 May 2024 | 01:00:17 | |
This episode is a showcase of one of the most profound client transformations I have had the pleasure to support.
My client Kam’s life looked very different two years ago when she first reached out to me for a consultation call.
She was officially stuck in a rut. Just about to turn 30 she had a ‘good, stable’ job she didn’t like and had been debating leaving for a while, was in a relationship that she knew had no long-term future, was living at home with her parents and was struggling to see how she could get out of this situation to create a new future in her thirties.
After reading books and podcasts about personal development in 2020, she decided that she actually wanted to start to actually implement some of the things she was reading about and make big life changes. That’s what led her to coaching and to signing up to a 1:1 program.
Fast forward two years, her life has done a complete 180.
She ended her relationship, found a new job, bought her own place and moved out of her parents house and has spent the past year going on solo travel adventures and enjoying her life. Most of all the goal that she set, and is continuously working on, is having so much more life in her years, a mentality that Kam also has inspired me to adopt.
All of these external results are cause for celebration, but as you will hear in the episode, the biggest change of all was her mindset. Kam took a long, hard look at her thoughts and used coaching tools to create a new internal narrative. Through coaching, she has learnt to enjoy the journey that is life, and to stop worrying so much about the destination.
From panicking about being single and never meeting anyone, to now embracing her thirties and living a life on her terms, she is the perfect example of a Turning 30 success story.

| How To Know If Your Partner is "The One" Ft Sarah Yudkin (Re-run) | 15 May 2024 | 01:02:01 | |
We’ve all heard those familiar phrases when it comes to starting a new relationship: ‘when you know you know’, but what if you start a new relationship or you’re already in a partnership and you don’t instantly know that this person is ‘the one’?
For some reason, we’ve been tricked into believing that once we meet someone and get into a relationship, that we will live ‘happily ever after’ and things will just nicely slot into place. Add to this the fact we are bombarded with an array of different opinions on relationships such as ‘when you know you know’, it’s no wonder that when people start to have any doubts or questions in their relationship, they don’t know where to turn.
In this week’s guest episode, I have invited life coach Sarah Yudkin on to talk about a topic that I don’t think gets nearly enough airtime: relationship anxiety.
We dive into so many interesting topics, including:
how to know if it’s anxiety or incompatibility?
what to do (and what not to do) if you experience doubts in your relationship
how relationship anxiety shows up and how it can affect you
whether age affects anxious feelings in a relationship
the topic of settling and what it means to ‘settle’ in a relationship
‘the grass is greener’ syndrome that we can experience when we are single or in a partnership
Sarah is such a source of wisdom on this topic, based on her own personal journey of feeling anxious, doubtful, and uncertain in her own relationship to feeling a deeper sense of commitment, fulfillment, and optimism than she dreamed was possible.
Since then, she has helped over 750 people from 35 countries through online coaching, courses, and webinars. The You Love and You Learn online community consists of over 220,000 people on a journey to show up more intentionally in their relationships.

| GIRL TALK: What To Do If You Are Exhausted From Dating Ft Caitlin Smith (Re-run) | 08 May 2024 | 01:05:24 | |
Let’s be real, dating can be tough and the online dating space today can cause many people to decide to throw the towel in altogether and to focus on other areas of life.
But what does that mean for those who still want to meet somebody? Keep living your life and hope for the best?
On this week’s podcast episode I have invited back Caitlin Smith, better known as The Compatibility Coach, for an honest girl talk all about dating in your thirties.
In this episode we dive into topics surrounding the realities of dating, and why so many of us experience dating burnout and feel that we are ‘interviewing’ for jobs roles.
Caitlin shares her experience of never experiencing a relationship until her late twenties, and I share my story of being on and off single and what it was like re-entering the dating world again at age 33.
We also discuss why the key to getting your sparkle back may be to take a step back and delete the apps, how our mindsets are key in transforming our dating lives, the part luck plays in meeting someone, how to not get obsessed with dating, the key differences between men and women in the dating world and how to be the one that is picking instead of waiting to be picked.
If you ever feel exhausted from dating- or tend to avoid it altogether, this episode is for you!

| How to Embrace Aging and Self-Love in Your Thirties and Beyond Ft. Dr Amanda Hanson | 03 Apr 2024 | 00:50:10 | |
Dr Amanda Hanson worked for years as a clinical psychologist until pivoting to become a speaker, life coach and thought leader for women. Her brand Revolutionizing Midlife is about redefining and reclaiming what it means to be a woman and how we can refuse to subscribe to the aging ideals that dictate how women should be covering wrinkles with botox, dyeing their hair to cover up the greys, and to become less sexy and less outspoken as they mature.
In this episode we delve into why women have been taught and signaled to think of aging as something negative and how we can start to shift this paradigm to revolutionise the way that we grow older. We discuss the difference between ‘Baby Princess’ and ‘Queen Energy’ and how to shift your energy and go out into the world each day feeling powerful and sexy (no matter your age).

| How to Fully Accept the Path You Are On in your Thirties and Grieve the Path not Taken | 06 Feb 2024 | 00:32:56 | |
A one-off preview of a module from my brand new course Next Chapter in Love. Within the course, there are 27 self-study modules to help you transform your current love life, and this episode offers you an exclusive preview to one of the topics in the course.
After working with hundreds of women in their thirties, a pattern I often see is how many people feel frustrated or disappointed about how their thirties were not as they expected them to be.
When we hold on to a perception of how our lives ‘should look’, it affects how we accept where we are right now- and when it comes to our love life, this can often show up in how we date and approach our relationships.
In this solo episode I share my thoughts on how to accept the path that you are on, whilst also giving space to grieve the path never taken. This way, you can learn how to take healthy and conscious action steps to build your next chapter and break free from the past.

| How to navigate your Saturn Return and Trust Your Timing in Dating and Relationships ft Alice Bell | 24 Jan 2024 | 00:43:15 | |
Did you know that in astrology the age of 29 (and the lead up to it) is particularly significant because it marks our ‘Saturn Return’: a time re-evaluation and considering how you want the next chapter to be?
I have invited Alice Bell, the author of “Trust Your Timing’ and astrolger for British Vogue to explain all about Saturn Returns and how we can best navigate them. In the episode we discuss the growing pains of Saturn Returns, sharing both of our experiences of going through our own, and we also talk about the other relevant astrological ages that can mark big changes and transitions.
We also dive into the topic of Alice’s book: how you can trust the unique timing of your own journey and use astrology to support dating and your journey to a relationship.
This episode is for you if you want to work on your own trust in divine timing and explore how astrology can support you in your journey.

| How to Make New Friends in Your Thirties | 12 Dec 2023 | 00:38:59 | |
Carrying on the conversation all around friendships in your thirties, I am giving you free exclusive access to one of the key modules of my Friendships Audio Course: How to Make New Friends.
Whilst many people think that making friends in your thirties is more challenging than our younger years, I’m here to remind you that not only is it possible, but it is one of the most rewarding things you can focus your energy on at this age.
In an ideal world, aligned friends that share similar values and lifestyles to us would organically appear on our doorsteps, however the reality of it is that we have to go out and consciously and intentionally make these friendships. And when we do, the connections that we create are fulfilling and uplifting.
I have created a clear six stage process for how to make new friends, tried and tested over the past two years where this has been one of my key goals.
This episode is for you if you have been feeling the urge to make new friends, struggle with loneliness and feel that your current friendships aren’t satisfying you, want to know where and how to make new friends
To access the remaining 7 modules of the Friendship Audio Course, register here:
turning-30-coaching.teachable.com/p/friendships-in-your-30-s-mini-course

This episode is all about accepting your timelines and knowing that your story is panning out the way that it is meant to, even at the times when you feel left behind or that you have no idea how your future will look.
Because the truth is, you never know what is waiting for you- just around the corner!

| Turning 30 and Age Anxiety, Fear of Growing up and How to Overcome it to Enjoy Your Thirties | 14 Nov 2023 | 00:39:06 | |
Today we’re covering something that is central to my mission as a life coach focusing on helping individuals feel better about their age: – age anxiety. This is a topic that so many of us experience as we transition from our twenties into our thirties and we experience the reality of ‘growing older, entering a new phase of life and really facing the societal pressures of becoming an adult and everything that comes along with that.
For some of us this feeling is sudden and happens at the turn of a big birthday or as our birthday approaches, yet for many of us this is a background anxiety that gets heightened.
In this solo episode I am sharing my thoughts on the reason we experience anxiety at this age, how I personally experienced aging anxiety over the years, and how we can cope with this and take control of our anxiety and even use it to our advantage to make the most of our thirties.
Topics that I cover include the ‘instruction manual’ we hold ourselves accountable to in our thirties, the existential fears that can crop up as we age and see our parents growing older and experiencing loss, the part that society and popular culture plays in convincing women of their impending value drop due to growing older and more.
Don’t forget to subscribe to my new YouTube channel to receive exclusive videos including monthly YouTube Q&As that won’t be available on the podcast. Go and check T30 out on IG and help us grow our community!
