This week, Celia, Morgan and Tucker are joined by Matt Seneca to talk about Robert Altman and his 70s standard: Nashville. We also spend some time with Licorice Pizza in Tucker's attempt to deliver an even worse take than the bad one circulating (he nails it! whoops!) but for the most part we'll are just happy to talk Tennessee. Is that lady British? Let's find out together!

New year, new you: same us. It's time to talk about Kathryn Bigelow's Near Dark, to knock the dust off talking in general, and to pontificate on what is to come with Kathryn and her secrets. Celia, Morgan & Tucker are here, so is Bill Paxton and the rest of his Aliens cronies--unfortunately, Adrian Pasdar is as well. Time to get some!

In one corner, it's Benedict Campion. In the other? Delroy Lindo with the cheapest fake mustache you've ever seen. While you'll never be forced to choose between one Netflix movie versus another, we're still throwing them into the ring. Blame Sloane Leong, who is here for the ride, and refuses to honor the term "revisionist Western" with anything that doesn't sound exactly like contempt.

This time around, Morgan, Celia & Tucker are debating DUNE. A debate you say? Yes: a debate between the two sides of Morgan's brain--the side where he doesn't seem to like Dune (2021) and has a lot of reasons why, and the other side, where he keeps saying "no, I actually did like it!" Meanwhile, Celia admits that her neglect of the Synderverse may have resulted in a pent-up affection for Stern Faces, and Tucker conserves all his energy so that he can make the case for pee-pee, and make that case with all the passion and seriousness he can muster.

Matt Seneca joins Celia & Tucker to talk about Titane, which 2/3 of us think is the best movie of the year: BUT THAT'S NOT ALL. There's also the return of Ridley, sloughing off that cemetery dirt and firing a shotgun into the ceiling: this ain't the first duel baby, it's The Last Duel. Do we talk about Lamb? Yeah, sure. But you can otherwise call this podcast the MON DOUX. Get some, pal!

It's time to talk about James Bond with Maxwell Wolkin--that's right! We brought in Travis Bickle's very own official James Bond expert to talk about the return (and immediate retirement) of Daniel Craig, in 2021's No Time To Die. Marvel at Tucker's recalcitrance, bask in Wolkin's studied fashion critique, and wallow in our disdain for Skyfall: it's time to talk 007. Is this the last time he'll have blond hair? Who knows!

And we're on! Morgan, Celia & Tucker got together to talk about Kathryn Bigelow, in the first of a series as of yet untitled, taking a look at her 80s debut, The Loveless. Co-directed with Monty Montgomery and featuring the "official" debut of Willem Dafoe: will we be able to say more than that about this 80 minute movie packed full of slow ass takes? Let's see!

We start off with Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch, which leads us to Paul Schrader's The Card Counter: an Oscar Isaac double feature! After that, it's time to talk about Candyman, courtesy of Nia DaCosta and too much talking. But wait: what about that Clint Eastwood trailer???

From the brackish past, it's an ep that had been lost: now it is found! Earlier this year, we got together to talk about the passing of DMX, which means we talked about Belly and Tucker defended that one scene in Top Five, we talked about trailers and a whole mess of things: and it all started with the movie Shiva Baby, which we had genuine affection for. Come join us in the re-discovered country of....a round-up-cast!

Does the title tell it all? NO. It's a round-up cast buddy! This episode even includes Conan The Destroyer, some talk about Jimmy Bond, Celia saying incorrect things about Invitation, Tucker wasting an explanation of a great Justice League cover on a couple of BUZZKILLS. It's a podcast, buddy!

Celia and Tucker talk about Barbarian, The Fan (not the Tony Scott one, but the one that James Garner thought was the worst thing in his lengthy catalog of terrible things), and one of the worst movies that Celia has ever made it all the way through: Don't Worry Darling. They also trade secrets regarding their inexplicably personal feelings towards Kyle Reese. Movie time!

If the title didn't clue you in, yeah, this episode is on the new movie by M. Night Shyamalan's Old and Andrei Tarkovsky's Mirror. But what the title doesn't tell you is that this crossover episode features Joe McCulloch and Matt Seneca: one man an expert in M. Night Shyamalan, the other man an expert in Andrei Tarkovsky. What to do about a host who is an expert in....neither? Only one episode required to find out!

This week, Morgan and Tucker are joined by Sloane Leong to talk about her path of half star destruction, how it led the boys to find out about the availability of Edward Yang's Terrorizers, and then, in a surprise twist, she is also revealed to have been initiated into the least figured out of all our post-apocalyptic universes: The Quiet Place universe. We all watched the second one due to its ease of availability and because we wanted to see if the Cillian Murphy upgrade could repair the hole left in our hearts when Jim Beardo went grave-diving.

This week, Travis Bickle RETURNS to NYC: Celia reports back from watching Zola, Tucker reports from the living room on The Ice Storm, EVERYBODY clocks in regarding the Soderbergh movie that has the three word generic noir title--No Sudden Move? Get Sudden Moon? I can't remember, who cares. In the middle of that Morgan and Tucker meet a new contender in cinema's ongoing battle to produce the greatest foot chase: TELL NO ONE. If America wants to sleep on Harlen Coben, the French will step in!

Have we all really never seen or talked about the movie Set It Off, a movie which features Queen Latifah doing two guns, one-in-each-hand as best as anybody outside of Chow Yun-fat ever did it? That turned out to be the case. But wait, there's more: John Q as well, a movie that dares to ask the question of whether James Woods can play someone who has a legitimate moral arc where the conclusion is that he can in fact be a good guy. Today, tonight, this morning: there's no time like the present to catch up on these, The Manchurian Candidate, Morgan's refusal to talk about Loki, and Tucker's undeniably obnoxious commitment to watching an MTV game show instead of the Criterion Channel.

This time, it's 2020's Riders of Justice, courtesy of Anders Thomas Jensen and his beautiful perfect muse, Mads Mikkelsen. We also get into Streets Of Fire, a little about Zack Snyder (under pressure from Celia, I assure you!) and there's even a review of various bowls and their usefulness as soup receptacles.

This time around, the crew (Morgan, Celia & Tucker) are all talking about Saint Maud, an A24 prestige horror movie told at a painterly pace by a woman who just might be Rose Byrne. Did you know there's another Coney Island that doesn't have hot dogs? Find out about that, and more, including depressing hand jobs used in place of dialog for character development on this installment of "a movie podcast". Bonus topics include: CRONENBERG.

It's a very special Abba-pology cast, with Tucker & Morgan diving into two of Celia's fist-pumpers, Muriel's Wedding and Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again. To maintain narrative coherence, they also get into Priscilla: Queen Of The Desert, which features Guy Pearce (from last week) and Abba (who feature prominently in the other movies.) But you already knew that, didn't you, you filthy maniac? Sure you did. It's Get Some O'Clock, buddy!

This week, we're talking about Bob Odendirk's Nobody, whether there are enough bats in Arizona for dracula to have friends, and then it's time for Guy Pearce-ing it: The Rover, Ravenous & The Time Machine. Celia makes a claim for blankness, will Tucker recover? Whose side will Morgan take? What about bubblegum pop!

Tucker and Celia were reeling from their second shots, but the coursing power of vaccination juice worked upon them much as the juice of Street Fighter's Dhalsim used medication to create Blanka. Who knew? But no, it's Mortal Kombat time. All of the live action Mortal Kombat movies get covered, but not television shit. No thank you, television!

This week, Celia reports back on Concrete Cowboys, and the rest of us respond by saying: message received! Then it's time to get down to the meat of the PaxCast: One False Move, A Simple Plan & Frailty. Does Billy Bob Thornton steal the show a bit? He sure does!

This time around, Matt Seneca dug Tucker up out of a well, shocked him back to life, and asked him why, why oh why, hast thou never seen Bela Tarr's Damnation? To which Tucker replied that he had been busy watching Black Adam. "Buddy" said Matt, "You can do both." A podcast was born, and in the afterbirth of its labor, you'll also find a brief discussion of Stephen Spielberg.

It's an old timey round-up-cast, with Tucker, Morgan & Celia running the boards: Godzilla Vs. Kong & Bad Trip get some attention, but so does Roberto Rossellini and his neorealism, a metric ton of James Spader movies that Celia used as mood altering substances in her travels across the country, and a bit of riffing on Spielberg and a million other things: movies pal. Movies!

This week, it's Tucker & Celia with a chill out session on Judas & The Black Messiah, Sorry To Bother You, The Gate, a funeral Tucker went to, the question of psy ops and taking moral lessons from Mortal Kombat. There's more than that. There's a lot!

Maybe next time we should try a formal rundown of Philip Seymour Hoffman? We could all wear suits and carry around attache cases. Come celebrate Celia's first Communion as we talk about our favorite boy!

Bring It On: and no, we're not just referring to this week's double feature of melancholy streaming critical populist tales featuring 80s Korean family farms and widows cruising the badlands. We're also referring to the cheerleading classic, featuring the triple threat of Union, Dunst & Dushku. Is that all? NO. There's even more: Mafioso! Arguments about Seven Samurai! Lots of legitimate toilet humor! Wandavision? Yes, but no children are here to defend it this time! 

This time around, we're talking about The Little Things, The Kid Detective and The Last Champion. So many movies featuring the word "The" at the beginning. We also have a swing-by guest who chats us up about WandaVision for a bit. Get some!

This time around, we're watching your favorite streaming programs, I guess? One Night In Miami, The White Tiger & Another Round. At the close, Nina shows up so that Tucker can recap A Hidden Life, an extremely good Terence Malick movie that I guess people didn't like that much? It's good!

This week, we're catching up with Carey Mulligan's adventure outside of period dramas, Promising Young Woman. Then, it's project time: three people, three Jamie Foxx movies, three people who blew it. We blew it, guys! None of these are gonna knock Collateral or Vice out of the top Foxx spot! They include Stealth, which is about a plane and isn't really a Jamie Foxx movie, Law Abiding Citizen, which is what would happen if you took all the good stuff out of Ricochet and Any Given Sunday, which is actually okay because of drugs and Kid Rock and Tucker's explanation of how he perceives all sports movies as being in one long continuity.

We got together with an exacting series of math equations to determine our Top Ten Movies of 2020 while on the air, and then we figured out our bottom five as well. LISTEN to Celia's disgust with Tucker's support for Tenet, MARVEL at Morgan's attempt to rank a music documentary, PONDER all the other Udo Kier movies Tucker could have named before bringing up the Michael J. Fox one. It's a BEST OF situation. Get into it!

Tucker, Celia & Morgan get together to talk about some garbage--WW84 and The Midnight Sky. Then they ask Nina to come by and update them with her thoughts on those stinkers, and she waxes philosophic about Avatar. Avatar? Sure!
