On August 26th, 2026, Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime died. I pondered why his death in particular weighed heavily on my mind and heart, and it wasn't just because I was a fan.

A very brief corrections episode, covering the final page of issue 19 "Command Performances!" which I somehow managed to totally omit from episode 40! It's a critical page, with information that has ramifications for the continuing story, plus the pay off that this entire issue was building to!

We're staying in the U.K. this week, for the penultimate story in our little run of U.K. comics, "Dinobot Hunt!" This one is great, there are teams, tactics, planning, logistics, it really makes the Autobot/Decepticon war feel the most like a war I think we've seen it, certainly in the comics. It expands on the Dinobots and their abilities, and all in all feels like we're seeing the beginning of the U.K stories starting to head toward being more sophisticated.

Bah Weep Granagh Weep Nini Bong! We're back in merry ol' England again this week for a solo episode covering the two part Marvel U.K. Transformers story, "Decepticon Dam-Busters!" This one is the closest to anything in the G1 cartoon we've seen from the comics so far, so close in fact that several shots and lines of dialogue are identical. Ratchet explains to the Dinobots why humans are so fearful of the Autobots, despite the fact that they only try to help the humans, by telling the story of a Decepticon attack on a dam. At the end of his story, a painful surprise awaits for Swoop, Josie Beller's plans are revealed, and so is the next move G.B. Blackrock plans to make.

We've finally gotten a date from Skybound for when the PDFs are going to be delievered! They'll arrive September 18th, after which I need some time to prepare things, so the first episode proper of Transformers AutoBook Club will be released on Saturday, September 27th!
