One of Alex's closest friend's, His Name Was Dusk, has been begging him to read the first book in the Dresden Files series, Storm Front by Jim Butcher. Well after hearing these requests, Mrs. Pearlmania stepped forward on shouldered the burden by reading the entire wizard detective mystery novel and forcing alex to listen to the entire plot.

On this week’s episode Mr. and Mrs. Pearlmania500 dive head first into the soapy lore of the Dr. Bronners Castile soap label. Mrs. P explains to Alex the deep and sometimes tragic history of Dr.Bronner, his famous peppermint soap and the label that keeps everyone reading when they forgot their phone in the bathroom.

This story starts in Germany in 1908 expanding all the way to a California Avacado ranch in that 1990s. In an incredible rare moment for our podcast, Mrs. P researched a religious, health food entrepreneur who turned out to NOT BE THE WORST PERSON ON EARTH! Bob and Charlee Moore founded Bob's Red Mill, the "nation's leading miller of diverse whole-grain foods."

For years, Bob's Red Mill Gluten free flour was one of the only things Mrs. P could eat, so when she heard of the founder's recent passing she started reading up on him, and was SHOCKED to find out he was a very nice person who wanted to do well by his community while feeding people.
