There’s a lot of hand-wringing going on over the idea Donald Trump’s response to some federal court orders has put us in a soup called “constitutional crisis.”  Well the soup may soon be heated up and served, but so far it’s still in Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s can.  Trump hasn’t spit in the eye of a judge yet, he’s more or less playing by the rules.  If he gets a “NO” from SCOTUS in a case and ignores them, yes, we’ll be in hot water (and Trump will probably in a trifecta – three impeachments! – and this time might be convicted).  But not yet, so everybody should take a chill pill.

Some Americans are suffering from a severe case of premature pearl-clutching.  Donald Trump may at some point trigger a constitutional crisis by defying federal court orders.  But, that hasn’t happened yet, so his critics may fall prey to “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” syndrome.  Plus, a California jury is struggling with its verdict in the case of a judge who shot his wife to death after she dared him to pull the trigger.  After the shooting he texted his bailiff to say he wouldn’t be in court the next day – he’ll be in custody.

Gloria’s got us thinking:  Why are guys the only ones can stroll around topless in public?   San Francisco has experimented with dropping its anti-nudity ordinance – should we give that a try?  Or should we just face facts, our society considers women’s breasts to be sex objects – manboobs, not so much.

Just when we thought toxic partisanship couldn’t get any worse, we have an epidemic of people saying, “Yes, but . . . .”  Yes, executing business executives is bad, BUT my goodness folks are frustrated over the handling of health insurance claims.  Really?  How about no ifs, ands or buts:  Murder is inexcusable.  Maybe we all agree on that, full stop.  Then, pick another day to talk about how to reform the health care system.

One possible catch:  SHE MAY NOT BE READY TO RETIRE.  Biden’s likely response:  Uh, you do remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg, right?  DO YOU WANT THE CONSERVATIVES TO HAVE A 7-2 MAJORITY??

Yes, the Menendez brothers were sentenced to life without parole for shot gunning their parents. But their new lawyer Mark Geragos wants them released, saying he hopse to host them at Thanksgiving dinner next month.

There’s yet another lawsuit against a baker who refuses to create a cake he disapproves of. The latest entry? The customer wants a birthday cake with an image of Satan, smoking a joint.

And, does America have an incarceration problem? Well yeah, we only solve 50% of violent crimes. So maybe instead of “abolishing” prison, we should be doubling our prison budget.

Believe it or not, California’s progressive governor, Gavin Newsom, wants to lock up the crazy people. He calls it “involuntary conservatorship,” and he’s shocking his liberal pals. But, unless something’s done about California’s burgeoning tent city homeless population, well, it doesn’t look good on the governor’s resume.

He’s looking to build shelters to accommodate 10,000 Californians who have a tenous grip on reality. Advocates for the homeless vow to flood the courts with lawsuits.

Back in the day, you rack up a jillion dollars in debt, then whoosh – it's gone with a bankruptcy filing. Not so much now:

      --- Johnson & Johnson thought they'd get rid of 61,000 claims that their talc products contain asbestos and cause cancer – the bankruptcy judge said, "Nice try."

      --- The Supreme Court rejected the Sacker family's attempt to win immunity from suits through its company's bankuptcy.

      --- Rudy Giuliani tried to get out from under a $148 million defamation verdict. The judge said, "Not even a nice try."

Incarceration doesn’t sound enjoyable, but Trump’s campaign ad will write itself: Here I am behind bars courtesy of a Democrat judge and a Democrat DA, while Biden jets around, campaigning. And, will Michael Cohen survive cross-examination? Without a smoking gun document to help show Trump KNEW his company’s records were falsified, the jury could see the case as “he said/he said,” with no clear winner.
