Friends of the Rosary, Jesus said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? Out of littleness, the greatness of God, and our cooperation, an extended kingdom is built. The Christendom —and our own faith— is built upon what is small and insignificant initially. As members of the universal Church, we exclusively rely on divine mercy and grace. Ave Maria! | October 28, 2024, Sts. Jude Thaddeus and Simon the Zealot, Apostles, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | 28 Oct 2024 | 00:30:38
Friends of the Rosary, Today, October 28, the Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of the Apostles Saints Jude Thaddeus and Simon the Zealot. The two disciples of Christ have shared this feast since ancient times. They both expired as martyrs. St. Jude is the author of a short Epistle, which forms part of the New Testament. He is the patron saint of desperate situations, forgotten causes, hospital workers, hospitals, impossible causes, lost causes, and the diocese of Saint Petersburg, Florida. Through his intercession, St. Jude helped several saints in significant or hopeless matters, so his reputation as the patron of impossible causes began. In art, Jude typically bears a medallion imprinted with the face of Christ, while St. Simon is represented with a saw, the instrument of his martyrdom. Simon was a vigorous defender of the Law, a fighter. He is mentioned on all four lists of the apostles. On two of them, he is called “the Zealot.” The Zealots were a Jewish sect that represented an extreme of Jewish nationalism. They raided and killed, attacking both foreigners and “collaborating” Jews. However, Jesus needed no Zealots to bring about the kingdom by force. Like this former Zealot, Jesus chose some unlikely people: a former tax collector, an impetuous fisherman, two “sons of thunder,” and a man named Judas Iscariot. Today is also the third anniversary of the departure of Maria Blanca, co-founder of the Rosary Network. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 7:00 pm in the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist in Stamford, Connecticut. Ave Maria! Come, Holy Spirit, come! Friends of the Rosary, The Holy Spirit is our helper when dealing with persecution. Christ Jesus tells us today (Luke 12:8-12): “When they take you before synagogues and before rulers and authorities, Persecution will end when the Lord returns, at the end of time, but not before. Then, when the old and sinful world passes away, a new life of love and peace will emerge. The enemy of the faith knows this, and that’s why he is infuriated. He doesn’t have much time. In the meantime, as Bishop Barron writes, “We maintain a detachment from the world that is passing away, our eyes fixed on the world that will never end. And we speak—confidently, boldly,” Ave Maria! Friends of the Rosary, Today's reading in the Gospel of Mark (Mk 6:30-34) brings us the compassion and human understanding of Jesus for humanity. "When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd, The people of Galilee were anxious to hear about God and his mercy. They were simple, uneducated villagers, shepherds, and fishermen who knew little about the Law of Moses. They were ordinary, not overly religious people. They probably cheated on one another and were uncharitable to one another; they were not always chaste and pure. They prayed very little, perhaps only when they wanted some material benefit. Yet our Lord had compassion on them. The compassionate Christ has pity on us, too. He knows our infirmities and weaknesses and is ever-ready to have pity on us and pardon us. He wants us back on the high road to heaven. Ave Maria! Come, Holy Spirit, come! Friends of the Rosary: This week, we read on the Gospel that Jesus cured people trapped by demonic spirits. Modern thinkers reject this kind of Divine intervention, saying that these exorcisms are pure fantasy. It’s a fact that we don’t see possessed people walking on the streets. We don’t even see Salem-style witches, or women devoted to the darkness. But it doesn’t mean that these demonic people do not exist. The Evil Doer is much more sophisticated today. He tries to hide his existence as a more effective way to deceive people. Moreover, one of his strategies is to confuse everyone saying that Hell doesn’t exist and even that Jesus in His mercy wouldn’t allow anyone to go to Hell. This is a big satanic lie. Satan-driven people do exist and Hell is very real. Gospel passages and stories are written for eternity. Ave Maria!
| February 2, 2022, Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | In the Memory of María Blanca | 02 Feb 2022 | 00:29:16 | |
Friends of the Rosary: We celebrate today, January 2nd, 40 days after Christmas, the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas Day. It commemorates through the blessing and lighting of candles that Christ is the light of the world. In conjunction with the Feast of the Presentation, the Catholic Church celebrates the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life today. Those with a consecrated vocation — with lives of poverty, chastity, and obedience — are also called to reflect the light of Jesus Christ to all peoples. Regardless of the vocation, we are all called to union with Christ and to do our part to build up the Kingdom of God. Ave Maria! + Mikel A. | TheRosaryNetwork.org, New York

Friends of the Rosary: A global apostasy is underway. Promoted by mainstream leaders and politicians in Europe and the Americas — echoing a large number of citizens — the world is trying to create a Godless humanitarian society. A sort of new-age religion that takes some of the Christian values and dangerously mixes them with ideologies inspired by Hell. These ideas end up destroying mankind, making many miserable and hopeless, now and eternally damned in the next life. It’s the playbook of the Devil, which takes advantage of the ignorance and pride of people. This is sad because as a human family we don’t want to lose any member. How do we confront these troubled souls? Through personal example. By being charitable and prayerful we try to revert the negative turn taken by our modern society. Friends of the Rosary: Today, January 31st is St. John Bosco’s Memorial Day. Founder of the Salesian Society and of the Daughters of Mary Auxiliatrix, St. John Bosco was an enlightened educator and innovator. This nineteenth-century Italian priest was a great apostle of youth. As a seeker of souls, Don Bosco formulated a system of education based on “reason, religion, and kindness.” Ave Maria! + Mikel A. | RosaryNetwork.com, New York

Friends of the Rosary: The Faith in Jesus and Mary is our guiding star. We cultivate this virtue to improve our life. And it works. And what’s interesting is that improvement increases exponentially. Jesus explained it in last Thursday's reading (Mk 4:21-25), “to the one who has, more will be given; from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away." Life is certainly a Cross. But when the burden is shared with Jesus, we receive life in abundance. Ave Maria! + Mikel A. | TheRosaryNetwork.org, New York

Friends of the Rosary: Today’s reading (Mk 4:35-41) depicts the apostles terrified on a boat shaken by waves and winds, while Jesus was calm, asleep on a cushion. What a contrast between the weakness of the human race, challenged by the lack of faith, and the Divinity, confident in the power of the eternal truth. Jesus Christ, our role model to imitate, is telling us over and over again not to be afraid since He is the living God dwelling among us. We just need to have faith. What makes us great and keeps us alive is faith in Jesus Christ. That’s our only richness. That’s the eternal truth that we have difficulty understanding and cultivating. We invoke Our Blessed Mother’s help in the Joyful Mysteries. Ave Maria! + Mikel A. | TheRosaryNetwork.org, New York • January 29, 2021, Today’s Holy Rosary, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork

Friends of the Rosary: Today, we observe the Memorial Day of St. Thomas Aquinas, the thirteenth-century gifted theologian and Doctor of the Church who showed the harmony among the Catholic faith and the philosophical knowledge. His “Summa Theologica” book was often placed close to the Bible. After a mystical experience, St. Thomas Aquinas said that he could write no more, because “he had seen things that make my writings look like straw.” Nearing death, he made a final confession and asked for the Eucharist to be brought to him. In its presence, he declared: “I adore you, my God and my Redeemer … for whose honor I have studied, labored, preached, and taught.” Ave Maria! + Mikel A. | TheRosaryNetwork.org, New York • January 28, 2021, Today’s Holy Rosary, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork

Friends of the Rosary: As Jesus said (Matthew 6:7-9), the Father knows what we need before we ask him. Then when we pray our daily Rosary, the wisest thing we can ask is simply that His Will, not ours, be done. The greatest act of faith and trust is to surrender and submit to His WI’ll. We don’t need to inform nor instruct Him. God doesn’t need our counsel. It’s total abandonment into the Divine Will. My wife used to say, we need to leave God to be God. He proclaims the Kingdom of Heaven — as we learn in the third Luminous Mystery today — and we humbly participate in His plan of salvation. [ In the Memory of María Blanca ] Friends of the Rosary: How would be our life without the Divinity and His Will? It wouldn’t be life. Or, as St. Padre Pio said, “It would be easier for the Earth to exist without the sun than without the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.” We take the gift of life as children of God for granted. That’s a huge existential mistake. Each soul has been uniquely and preciously created for the glory of God, which is our own glory. The Heavens provide us with three theological virtues — faith, hope, and love — so we are able to participate in the Glorious Mysteries of Jesus and Mary that we pray today. Friends of the Rosary: Today, January 25th is the feast of the Conversion of St. Paul. During his old life, he was a fierce persecutor of Christians. He was even one of the conspirators in the martyrdom of the holy deacon St. Stephan. But by the Divine Will, Grace, and Mercy, St. Paul was made an Apostle, the great Apostle of the Gentiles. He was chosen to be one of the principal instruments of God in the conversion of the world. He was the perfect model of true conversion. Fourteen of his Epistles are found in the New Testament. He was beheaded, martyred, in Rome around 65 A.D. St. Paul freely suffer for Jesus Christ; he was a true servant. Ave Maria! + Mikel A. | TheRosaryNetwork.org, New York

Friends of the Rosary: In Galilee, people with diseases and disabilities approached Jesus, and He cured them all. Christianity is about healing all of us from the disease of sin and often about physical sicknesses. Priests, missionaries, and laypeople serving the poor and sick have been doing this for twenty-plus centuries. This is not metaphorical; it’s the apostolic dimension of the universal church. Millions of servants in hospitals, clinics, and elsewhere are witnesses of Christ. Many hidden, anonymous saints had spread mercy. This is an ongoing success of the human race, giving glory and honoring the Holy Trinity. There is much hope in the midst of our broken, secular society. These witnesses, along with those who patiently endure suffering, keep us hopeful. This is the resistance of the Church. We give thanks to God!

Friends of the Rosary: The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) designated January 22 as the Day of prayer for the legal protection of unborn children. In all the dioceses of the United States, on the liturgical celebrations for this day, priests celebrate Mass with white vestments and give thanks to God for the gift of human life. Faithful are encouraged to pray for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life and dignity of the human person. With the crime of abortion, God, the Father and Creator, is betrayed by own his sons who, in their wickedness, decide to destroy lives and souls. Over 62 million abortions since 1973 are a heartbreaking tragedy. As St. John Paul II said, “a great prayer for life is urgently needed.” Every life is a sacred gift from God from the moment of conception until natural death. Friends of the Rosary: All souls are created by God and should return to Him. Unfortunately, many souls get lost and are consumed by the fire of hell. As part of the mystical body of Christ, it is our mission to help save souls, starting with our own souls and the souls of our family. We all know this, so we just need to be serious about it. The Evil Doer is in the business of confusing people and destroying them now and forever. For that, the darkness plays many lying strategies. One is to present the murdering of unborn babies as women’s health rights. There have been over 62 million souls of unborn lost since the Supreme Court legalized abortion, almost 50 years ago. This is a tragedy, a holocaust. Today, the March of Life takes place in DC. This demonstration of faith is our collective message to Heavens showing that we stand for the eternal truth of Jesus and His mother and our mother Mary. Friends of the Rosary: Jesus Christ wants us to keep his word and endure patiently (Rev 3:10-11). Those who persevere will gain the crown of life. Or, as He said, “The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God.” What will happen to those who reject Christ? Well, we don’t want to be in their shoes. Unless they repent, they will greatly suffer. They will experience great tribulation, as the book of Revelation continuously notes. The Kingdom of Heaven — the third Luminous Mystery today — is demanding. It has to be. Many faithful self-deny themselves and do sacrifices, deserving a reward. Unrighteous ones offend the Divinity, and unless they repent, they will be severely judged. Ave Maria! + Mikel A. | TheRosaryNetwork.org, New York

Friends of the Rosary: Prayer can be a real battle, as the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches. We might experience dryness, fatigue, and even aversion. Pressing duties, obligations, and distractions can come over us. We can be thinking of a million other things. But we shouldn't fall into the temptation of quitting. When praying the Rosary, what matters is to have faith, as St. Louis Mary de Montfort said. Also, keep in mind that the Evil Doer wants us to abandon the mysteries of the Rosary. He wants us to stay lukewarm and lazy. He seeks our mediocrity. Remember: prayer is a battle. As warriors of Mary, we must keep up the fight... and win! Friends of the Rosary: On each Rosary, we say six times the Our Father or the Lord’s Prayer. This is the most perfect of prayers, as Thomas Aquinas stated in his Summa Theologica. This prayer, a summary of the gospel, sets the Will of God as the supreme principle of all things. When we say “Thy will be done” on me, on us, we express our desire of seeing Heaven and Earth merged, so error and sin are destroyed, and truth implanted. It’s a longing for our soul that wants to be run by the Divine Will. It’s the conformity with God’s will, as we learn in the first Sorrowful Mystery. Friends of the Rosary Network: Jesus came to take away the sins. If we abide in him we won't keep on sinning. What about those who persist in sin? We cannot be deceived by people who appear in a humanitarian fashion and introduce themselves as well-intention citizens. Friends of the Rosary Network: Today’s society tries to convince us that we are in control and our life is all about us. But that isn’t true. Each and every one of us is part of God’s great design. It’s a power already at work in us. As John stated in his first letter (1 John 2:17), "the world passes away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever." In consequence, we must be careful with the things of the world, especially "the desires of the flesh and the eyes, along with the pride of life." We live for God; we do not belong to earthly powers. As Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21). Following the Divine Will may require shifting our priorities and making difficult choices. God never asks anything that we are not equipped for. Also, He gives us the grace needed to accomplish it. We just need to say yes and give our fiat, as the Virgen Mary gave to the Archangel Gabriel, not only to giving birth to Jesus but accompanying Him through His entire earthly life—even to the cross. [ In the Memory of Maria Blanca ] Friends of the Rosary: With his baptism, Jesus Christ fully accepted God’s Will and God’s plan of salvation, which included the Crucifixion and the Resurrection. That’s why the Holy One, who was like us in everything except sin, was baptized by John in the Jordan River. With this epiphany or manifestation, Jesus did another amazing thing: He opened the Heavens for us. When we are baptized we become members of the His Mystical Body. Likewise, when we pray Heaven is opened. The Divine Will is revealed and we start experiencing the true life. God is pleased with us. But praying is not easy. Through this event — that brings to an end the season of Christmas — intervenes the entire Trinity. At his baptism, Christ was proclaimed the “Beloved Son” of the Father, and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him. At Christ’s baptism, the heavens were open. At our baptism heaven was opened to us and we become the adopted sons of God. Friends of the Rosary: Love and forgiveness are the same. To love someone we must first forgive him or her. And to love God, whom we don’t see, we must love first a neighbor, whom we see. St. John tells us this in his first letter (1 Jn 4:19-5:4), that we read yesterday, in the day of Epiphany. He also encouraged us to follow the first commandment: “Whoever loves God must also love his brother.” (1 Jn 4:19-5:4). Through the Epiphany — the manifestation of the Lord — God gave us the best gift: the Faith, the encounter with Him. Cultivating our Faith is acquiring wisdom and joy. Friends of the Rosary: We celebrate today the Solemnity of the Epiphany: the Magi come from the East to adore the Savior. As the Scripture said, "And entering into the house, they found the Child with Mary, His Mother, and falling down they adored Him." Epiphany means manifestation. It's the manifestation of the Lord to the whole world, an affirmation of universal salvation. Jesus, the Messiah, is revealed as the light of the nations. The Magi — Gaspar, Melchior, and Balthasar — reached Bethlehem, kneeling down for the baby Jesus. They led in the wake of all the people on earth. And their adoration marked the beginning of the Christian faith. In Spanish-speaking countries, the Epiphany, the Three Kings, la festividad de los Reyes Magos, is a large celebration. Kids receive presents like Jesus was offered by the Three Kings gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. We follow Him unconditionally, knowing that we live — or should live — for God, as my wife said in her last days. And following Jesus means to abandon ourselves and take the way of the Cross. The Holy Cross and the Eucharist are all we need to have a joyful and hopeful journey here on Earth. If we’re done at his image it’s natural to be like him, and to be like him we follow him. Friends of the Rosary: We remember today Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first American saint. Born in New York in 1774, she was a mother of five children and a convert to Catholicism. After her husband's death, she founded the American Sisters of Charity, the organization that began Catholic schools throughout the U.S. and especially helped with the education of underprivileged children. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton established her first Catholic school in Baltimore, a religious community in Maryland, as well as orphanages in Philadelphia and New York City. She trained teachers and prepared textbooks for use in the schools. She famously proposed to do in our daily work the will of God in the manner He wills. She explained: "I know that is God's will by those who direct me; whatever they bid me do if it is ever so small in itself, is the will of God for me." Friends of the Rosary: In his first coming, Jesus Christ, the light of the human race, was not received by his own people (John 1:10). The world preferred to stay in darkness. Twenty centuries later, one-third of the world knows that only the encounter with Jesus Christ can save us from our personal and collective sins. That’s progress. Although we are still very far from adopting the light and eternal truth. On Christmas, we rejoice with carols, meals, and reunions with family and friends. The so-called “spirit of Christmas” is in the air. That’s fantastic. However, what truly matters is having a personal encounter with Christ. Because our daily problems and projects block us, and we don’t see the light. Jesus Christ understands our weakness and despite so, He offers Himself entirely to each and every one of us. With Christ, we thrive. Without Him, we sink. Ave Maria! + Mikel A. | TheRosaryNetwork.org, New York • January 3, 2021, Today’s Holy Rosary, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork

Friends of the Rosary: We hold our sight in Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ at the beginning of the year. Through the Most Holy Mary, God delivered to us the grace of salvation. Jesus came to save us from our sins, and Mary was the vessel. The Word was made flesh through the Virgin. Now, those who freely decide to follow Christ are eternally saved and got out of the slavery of sin. This Christmas — and all the time — God is sending the Spirit of his Son into our hearts so we repent, ask for forgiveness, and enjoy the grace of being recognized as sons of the Father, along with Our Brother Jesus Christ. Friends of the Rosary: We start 2022 by celebrating, along with the New Year’s Day, the Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God — observed as a day of obligation. This way, we sanctify the day in Christ and Mary. “Mary is the masterwork of the mission of the Son and the Spirit in the fullness of time,” explains the Catechism of the Catholic Church. In the plan of salvation, “the Father found the dwelling place where his Son and his Spirit could dwell among men,” as the Catechism states. Friends of the Rosary: New Year's Eve is celebrated at evening parties, where many people dance, eat, drink, and watch fireworks. All of it is fine because we express our joy. However, let's not forget that we are still on Christmas and this season is about the birth of Jesus Christ in our hearts. Twenty centuries ago, He came to our rescue as we were so lost. Today, we still need the light of Christ, more than ever. We don't want to live a fake and a commercial Christmas. That wouldn't help us at all. Just ponder what the nativity scene teaches us. God humbled himself and came, small and poor, to serve others. If we truly want to enjoy New Year's Eve and New Year's Day celebrations, let's keep the focus on the eternal truth. Friends of the Rosary: Reflecting on the scene of the Nativity, the mystery of the Magi shakes us. The Three Kings journeyed from the East to pay homage to a baby born in a stable in Bethlehem. They were overjoyed at seeing the star and prostrate in front of Christ the King of the Universe. They realized that Christ’s kingship was infinitely greater than any other temporal power on Earth. Like the Three Kings, we should come only to adore Christ, not to political leaders. Politics, like sports and other distractions, have become a fake faith. Our real King is Jesus Christ. To him alone we owe alliance. Ave Maria! + Mikel A. | TheRosaryNetwork.org, New York • December 30, 2021, Today’s Holy Rosary, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork

Friends of the Rosary: The family is — or should be — an experience of love. A domestic church, as we mentioned last Sunday on the feast day of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. In addition, we all belong to a supernatural family, with Our Father, Our Brother Jesus Christ, and Our Mother the Virgin Mary, along with the companion of Archangels, Angels, Apostles, Patriarch, and Saints. We joined this heavenly family with our Baptism. When we depart from our earthly life toward the House of the Lord, there will be room for each and every one of us in there. As Jesus said, “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?” John 14:2. That’s another reason to rejoice this Christmas. Ave Maria! + Mikel A. | TheRosaryNetwork.org, New York • December 29, 2021, Today’s Holy Rosary, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork
| Dec 28, 2021, Feast of the Holy Innocents, Martyrs, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | In the Memory of Maria Blanca | 29 Dec 2021 | 00:30:09 | |
Friends of the Rosary: We celebrate today the memory of the small children of the neighborhood of Bethlehem put to death by the wicked monarch Herod. These mass-murdered innocent lives bear witness to Christ, who was persecuted from the His birth by a world that denied the Holy and Righteous One. The persecutors — the political leaders of that time — felt powerful. It's like today's anti-Christian governments that promote and impose agendas against the true faith. In the reality, they all are powerless, because Christ, with His own blood, performed a work of salvation that nobody can prevent. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. In addition, we've already won, although we might suffer a little bit more in this earthly dwelling. The Holy Innocents — hailed as "infant martyr flowers" by St. Augustine — ended up attaining the grace of everlasting life. | Dec 27, 2021, Feast of Saint John, Apostle and Evangelist, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | In the Memory of Maria Blanca | 27 Dec 2021 | 00:28:19
Friends of the Rosary: We observe today the Feast of St. John, Apostle and Evangelist, the beloved disciple of Jesus, leaning on the Master’s breast in the Last Supper. St. John, a Galilean fisherman like his brother St. James, wrote the fourth Gospel, three Epistles, and the Revelation. At the foot of the cross, Jesus entrusted His Mother to his care. St. John was the only one of the Apostles who did not forsake the Savior in the hour of His Passion and Death. St. John died in peace at Ephesus at ninety-four years old, preaching the message of loving one another. Friends of the Rosary: We observe today the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, the model of faithful love for all Christian families. The goal for every Christian family should be to live in harmony and in prayer, as a way to face challenges and difficulties, and share hopes and joys. Families, as well as marriages, also carry their cross. Accepting it, in union and with sacrifices, families get sanctified. A family is a domestic church and a prefiguration of the heavenly family. Christ Himself was the first devotee of His family, remaining obedient to their parents — with respect to the fourth commandment. Friends of the Rosary, In today's reading (Mt 11:25-27), the Son of God talks to His Father. We learn how the inner life of God takes place in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Pure love is the language. "I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, Bishop Barron interprets: "From Adam and Eve to today, the fundamental human problem is that we seek something other than God. We seek to fill up the ego with stuff, such as sex, pleasure, power, and honor. But this will never work because we’ve been wired for God, and God is love." The Divinity reveals the eternal truths when we act with a childlike attitude and humble heart. Ave Maria! Come, Holy Spirit, come! Friends of the Rosary: Today, the faithful rejoice by celebrating the Birth of Jesus Christ, the coming to earth of the Son of God, the mystery of the Word made flesh — fulfilling, this way, the longings of the patriarchs and prophets. God was incarnated through the Virgin Mary to become man, making us participants in his divine, eternal life. The Creator gave to us the greatest of all gifts, His beloved Son. "God so loved the world as to give His only begotten Son" (John 3: 16). Christmas is therefore a season full of joy and hope. And with the shepherds, we hurry to adore the Infant King. We try to celebrate Christmas— which begins today and ends on the feast of the Baptism of Christ — with the innocence and humility of the Christ Child. Friends of the Rosary: As it is read in the responsorial psalm today at Mass during the night, "Today is born our Savior, Christ the Lord" The Gospel of Luke narrates (Lk 2:1-14) that the angel proclaimed to the shepherds in that region the good news of great joy. The multitude of the heavenly host with the angel was praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." Might the Infant King who lays in a manger illuminates our minds and inflames our hearts tonight.
