Titterpigs is a podcast dedicated to the discussion of tabletop roleplaying games. Ironically, it's also the acronym for the commonly used #ttrpgs hashtag. Hosts Scott and Keith will dig their way into your eardrums and infect your brainpan. They're out to prove they have no idea what we are doing, but that won't stop them! With nearly 70 years of gaming experience between them, they have a few opinions. More importantly, they seek to be positive goodwill ambassadors for the hobby.

It's ENNIE Awards season, which means it's time for another completely unplanned, questionably informed, and highly opinionated episode of Titterpigs. We run through (most of) the 2026 nominees, make our predictions, grouse about a few categories, give some shout-outs to our favorites, and inevitably wander off on a few tangents along the way.

EP. 62 - A Chat With Jared Twing From Of Hearth & the Harrowing
Episode 60
Tuesday, July 7, 2026 • Duration 01:29:50
What does it take to build a tabletop RPG from the ground up? This episode, we're joined by Jared Twing, creator of Of Hearth and the Harrowing, to talk about his journey from an AD&D kid to a professional RPG writer and, ultimately, an independent game designer.
We discuss his years writing for Chaosium and other publishers, why he chose the BRP system as the foundation for his game, and how influences ranging from OSR sandboxes to survival games helped shape a fantasy survival horror RPG centered on exploration, community building, and carving hope from a ruined world. Along the way, we also dive into RPG layout, art direction, publishing realities, RuneQuest, Glorantha, convention life, and the many hats an indie creator has to wear once the writing is finished.
If you're interested in game design, indie publishing, or discovering a new BRP powered fantasy RPG, this is a conversation you won't want to miss.

This episode, we explore the unique culture of tabletop gaming conventions. From convention archetypes and hobby tribes to etiquette, survival tips, actual play celebrity culture, and the mysteries of the elusive Industry Cryptid, we discuss what makes conventions such a memorable part of the hobby and why we keep coming back despite the exhaustion, expense, and inevitable con crud.

EP. 60 - ChaosiumCon Recap & A Barside Chat With Seth Skorkowsky
Season 4 · Episode 60
Wednesday, April 29, 2026 • Duration 01:53:26
The Titterpigs are back from ChaosiumCon, and we have dodged the ConCrud to bring you a full recap.
It was our first time at the con and it did not disappoint.
From impromptu panels and packed vendor halls to multi-table RPG chaos and late night nonsense, we walk through the highlights, the surprises, and the moments that made it unforgettable.
We also dig into podcasting. What works, what doesn’t, and why most of the “rules” are nonsense, joined by special guest Seth Skorkowsky.
If you’ve ever been to a con, or thought about going, this one’s for you.
The Titterpigs are joined by RPG writer and designer Jon Hook for a conversation that jumps from old-school Dungeons & Dragons nostalgia to crafting horror in Call of Cthulhu.
We talk scenario design, convention play, and Jon’s approach to building investigative horror, starting with the ending and working backward. Along the way we have thoughts on AI in RPGs, game systems like Free League Publishing, journaling games, and players who try to derail everything.
Also: comic book debates, war stories, and one very important question to start us off.
Special Episode - Part Two: A Pendragon Roundtable Discussion (Titterpigs/Orcusdorkus Crossover)
Thursday, March 12, 2026 • Duration 01:15:12
Part Two of this special Titterpigs / Orcusdorkus RPG Shenanigans crossover continues our roundtable discussion of Pendragon 6th Edition.
The conversation drifts from rules talk into campaign war stories from The Grey Knight, including ogre ambushes, giant fights, disastrous feasts, knights losing their minds and running off into the woods, and the very questionable consequences of partying in Faerie.
We wrap up by sharing our favorite moments from the campaign, talking about what makes Pendragon such a unique RPG, and why this decades-old game still stands out in the hobby.
Expect Arthurian heroism, terrible decisions, and at least one mysterious fae child.

We dig into James’s RPG origins, the G+ / Gong Farmer’s Almanac era, how Netcrawl became a standalone game with streamlined rules, and what’s next for Horse Shark Games.
