If you are like me, I am always looking for new ways to make healthy simple and really make sure what I am doing works for our family. In today’s episode I am going to chat about: + 3 really simple and affordable ways to make healthy swaps in your kitchen + We will take a peek at how you wash and store your produce + A simple and healthy swap, your all purpose-cleaner  + And the ultimate swap for all those salad dressings you have taking up space in your fridge, half used … you get the point. I hope you can take these swaps and put them into action this week as you have some fun with healthy home design and curating a home that feels so good and moves you closer to your health goals. The Best DIY Dressing: Note, I’m not very good at measuring so use this as a guideline

  • 1 cup EVOO
  • 2 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 TBSP grainy mustard
  • Juice of a lemon
  • Pinch of sea salt + black pepper
  • 3-4 garlic cloves

Add all ingredients to a blender, food processor or use an immersion blender.

Optional: Some maple syrup or herbs like oregano, basil, cilantro or parsley to change things up. Store in a mason jar.

SUMMER fun is here! When it comes to your health, this can be a challenging time of the year to stay on track with all of the vacations, bbq’s and pool parties. If you are ready to take charge of your well-being challenge your current routines, then I hope this will help. This is pretty high level and just a few reasons why I feel we can and should focus more on proper hydration, not loosing momentum in our health goals, keeping our physical, mental and emotional well-being in check as we take a more moderate approach to alcohol. In today’s episode:

  • Focusing more on optimal health
  • Not sacrificing your mental clarity as alcohol can affect your cognitive abilities, memory, and overall mental clarity.
  • Staying emotionally well since alcohol is a depressant that can exacerbate anxiety and contribute to mood swings
  • Don’t sacrifice good sleep and happy hormones
  • Not letting it get in the way of your most important and valuable relationships
  • The financial freedom that comes when you reduce how much alcohol you are consuming. It saves a lot of money and allows you to allocate that in experiences, hobbies, or goals that truly align with the things that you love

Cutting back on alcohol doesn't mean you have to give up enjoyment or socializing. It's about finding a healthy balance that allows you to live your life to the fullest, with clarity, vitality, and purpose and I want you to embrace a life this summer that celebrates moderation, self-care, and the pursuit of holistic well-being.

Hydration is soooo important for how you feel every single day! In today’s episode:

  • How much water is enough and a simple way to track your progress
  • Hacks for making sure you drink enough throughout the day
  • Why it’s important to show our kids how to properly hydrate
  • If you find water boring, how to spruce things up 
  • How to make sure you are drinking the right water

I just want to highlight, even though I mention other ways to spruce up your water, ideally you are drinking approximately ½ your body weight in ounces of pure, filtered and clean water daily. This will increase as you activity level, time outside (etc) increases too. I hope that you can take some time to do some inventory, bring your kids into this conversation as well too so that they don’t experience dehydration through the full summer months of time outside, camps and sports. I have tried a lot of different ways but this seems to work and feels good. Alright….COMMUNICATION. The ability to impart or interchange thoughts, opinions, or information by speech, writing, or signs.

On a scale of 1-10 at a very high level … where would you rate your own communication skills? This is one of the most important skills in LIFE to continue to evolve in. I see it in my own home, in my business, in the communities I am a part of … and we are all so uniquely different and amazing. I hope you can take some time to hear what I say today and put it into action. We all have room for growth when it comes to communication.

And WHY I think this is so important to talk about as women is because throughout your day I know you are feeling frustrated, underwhelmed, like you are not being seen and heard and it’s maddening. So instead of focusing on what you can’t control … like other people …. Let’s focus on becoming 1% better each day, honing in on skills that will change your life in so many ways if you spend time getting better at it….
