Ways to Think Like a Scientist for Faster Weight Loss 26 Aug 202600:29:38

What if the reason nothing is working has nothing to do with your discipline and everything to do with what data you are actually looking at?

This week I am sharing one of the most underrated skills I teach my clients, one they never expect to need and get surprisingly good at very quickly. Acting like a scientist. Not in a complicated clinical way but in the most practical and most empowering way possible, using data curiosity and hypothesis testing to finally figure out what your specific body actually needs instead of just trying harder at the same thing that has not been working.

We cover what acting like a scientist actually means in the context of weight loss, the difference between collecting data and making emotional decisions, the importance of changing one variable at a time and why an approach that did not work is information not failure. We get into every data point worth tracking and why so you can know exactly where to focus to start seeing results and feeling incredible too!

The Basics vs Optimization — What Weight Loss Actually Requires19 Aug 202600:14:24

If you have ever seen a reel from a PhD telling you to never put a banana in a smoothie with berries and found yourself questioning everything… this episode is for you.

This week I am making the full argument for being a boring basic b*tch when it comes to your health. Not because the nuanced advice is always wrong and some of it genuinely matters and we get into all of it with my 1:1 clients. But because the nuanced stuff cannot help you if the foundation is not in place first. And right now a lot of women are chasing optimization while the basics are completely missing from their routine and wondering why nothing is moving.

As mentioned in this episode… Here are some accounts I follow and recommend for evidence based information:

Dr. Jessica Knurick

Dr. Lauren Colenso-Semple

Alan Aragon

Dr. Spencer Nadolsky

Bill Campbell

How Hot Moms Receive??12 Aug 202600:23:36

The women losing weight and keeping it off after 40 are not more motivated or more disciplined than you. They’ve just built the right team. This episode is the behind the scenes look at exactly what that means.

I share my own support system and a few client stories that showcase just how this works! The results you want live on the other side of finally allowing yourself support.

The Case for Being The Inconvenience05 Aug 202600:16:49

Your kids have no problem being the inconvenience approximately 1,000x per day… You are allowed to be the inconvenience once in a while too!

This week I am diving into the flip side of a conversation I started back in episode 11 where I talked about how comfort keeps us stuck and how we have to allow ourselves some discomfort to actually change. This episode is about the other kind of inconvenience nobody talks about enough, the one where we sabotage our own weight loss and our own sense of feeling good because we do not want to be the inconvenience to the people we love. The workout we skip because dinner needs to happen. The meal we abandon because our husband sighs when we weigh the olive oil. The thing we know is good for us that we quietly stop doing because someone else was uncomfortable with it.

In this episode we cover why this happens in the first place, the socialization that runs deeper than most of us realize the good girl conditioning the mommy martyr patterns and the very real dynamic of being the family manager for so long that stepping back feels like abandoning your post. We talk about what to actually do about it with six specific and practical steps including how to have the conversation with your partner in advance, how to start with something small enough that the friction is minimal and why reframing what you are modeling for your kids might be the most powerful mindset shift in the whole episode.

Being Lazy Might Get You Better Results29 Jul 202600:20:59

There is a version of a healthy habit that looks correct and a version that actually happens. And most of us have been so committed to the “correct” version that we have been accidentally choosing nothing at all. This episode is about the gap between those two things — and why closing it might be the single most important shift you make in your entire health journey.

Whether you have been skipping your morning walk because you do not want to deal with the hill or your workout because you do not have a full hour or your meal prep because Sunday is never what you think it is going to be…this episode is going to change how you think about every single one of those moments. The version of the habit you actually do consistently will always produce better results than the perfect version you never do.

The Thing I’m Scared to Say on Social Media But Will Tell You Here About Weight Loss22 Jul 202600:38:33

One spot left for 1:1 coaching in July! APPLY FOR 1:1 Coaching here!

I have been sitting on this episode for a while because it’s one of those topics where the internet comes for you from both directions. But I finally decided the conversation is too important to keep avoiding, so this week I am saying the thing I have been too scared to say on social media about food quality and why the typical American diet is making weight loss so much harder than it needs to be.

This episode is for the woman who thinks she is eating pretty well and cannot figure out why the scale will not move and why she still feels kind of terrible. We talk about the specific foods most commonly showing up in my clients diets that carry a massive health halo and why they might be working against you more than you realize. We get into why this is not a willpower problem but a food engineering problem and what the research actually says about why ultra processed food is specifically designed to make you eat more of it. And we talk about what eating well actually looks like in practice, not the fear based version and not the pretend everything is equal version but the honest practical middle ground that actually produces results.

This one is worth the listen even if you think you already know this stuff. Because knowing it and actually understanding how it applies to your specific body and your specific diet are two completely different things and that gap is exactly where most women get stuck.

Why Staying The Course is Sometimes The Worst Thing You Can Do15 Jul 202600:17:47

I scrapped an entirely different episode this week. Wrote it, then realized it wasn't great, so I started over from scratch. And somewhere in that process, I realized the whole experience was one of the most relatable parallels to what I see women go through on their weight-loss journeys every single day.

So that is what this episode is about. The moments when we know something is not working and keep doing it anyway. The sunk cost that keeps us stuck long past the point when we should have pivoted. The shame around starting over that we have to learn to separate from good judgment. And the honest feedback that changes everything when it comes from the right person at the right time.

If the honest answer to "is this working" is no, or even if you are not sure, apply for 1:1 coaching today. I have a few spots open, and I would love to help you figure out what actually needs to change.

My Experience Being a Hot Mom08 Jul 202600:20:27

You are allowed to want to feel hot. Not just healthy for your age or for a “mom”. Just genuinely hot in your body, and this episode is your permission slip to admit that out loud.

This week I am sharing the unexpected things that have happened since I started feeling like the hot mom...the things nobody warned me about and the things that have seriously changed the quality of my entire life at 46. Some of it will make you laugh, some of it might make you emotional, and all of it will make you want this for yourself if you do not already.

How To Be In Control Of What You Eat When You're Not The One Holding The Spatula01 Jul 202600:17:51

Most weight loss programs assume you are the one standing at the stove every single night with full control over every ingredient that goes into your food. For a lot of the women I work with that is simply not reality. This episode is for the woman whose partner does most of the cooking, the woman who lives out of hotel rooms and airport food courts half the week, and the woman who has been convinced that her situation is just too complicated for any plan to actually work.

It is not too complicated. It just requires a different set of skills and this episode walks you through exactly what those are.

In this episode:

  • Why the partner cooking situation is more emotionally complicated than most coaches acknowledge and how to have the conversation in a way that feels like a request instead of a criticism
  • The specific things you can ask your partner to change that make a real difference without overhauling how they cook or starting a fight about olive oil
  • What to do when dinner is completely out of your control and you have zero say in what goes on the plate
  • How to use the Build Your Bowl method as a mental ordering tool at any restaurant hotel or airport food court
  • Why the travel days are almost never the real problem and what is actually getting in the way for women who travel constantly
  • The one non-negotiable rule for travel that beats trying to maintain every habit at once
  • How my client went from road warrior with zero systems to dropping 5 lbs in 3 months and going from zero to four pull ups without being told to just track her macros

The One Skill That Makes Weight Loss Easier AND Harder At The Same Time24 Jun 202600:30:37

The most underrated factor in whether weight loss actually works long term has nothing to do with willpower, motivation, or finding the perfect diet. It is cooking. Specifically, not knowing how to cook makes weight loss significantly harder than it needs to be. And surprisingly, loving to cook can actually be working against you too.

In this episode I break down the three distinct relationships women have with cooking that I see over and over in my coaching practice, why each one creates its own specific challenge, and the one framework that works for all three regardless of where you are starting from.

That framework is my Build Your Bowl method, the simplest and most effective way I know to remove decision fatigue from dinner, stay in a calorie deficit without complicated recipes, and make eating well feel automatic instead of exhausting.

I walk you through exactly how it works, the five cooking skills worth learning if you are building your confidence in the kitchen, and how to make it function as a family framework when you have picky eaters, competing preferences, and zero time to make four separate meals. Plus I share my protein and veggie anchor strategy for the nights when dinner is completely outside your control.

And if you are already thinking your situation is too complicated like having a partner who does all the cooking, a travel schedule that leaves you living out of hotels and airport food courts, family dynamics that make any kind of system feel impossible, stay with me. I address all of it in this episode and explain exactly why this is where 1:1 coaching changes everything. Because understanding the concept and actually executing it inside your specific chaotic life are two completely different things and you deserve support that accounts for both.

My Fat Loss Phase has changed A LOT at 46 and I want to be honest about that17 Jun 202600:21:46

At 46 this fat loss phase looked different than anything I've done before. And I'm sharing the actual numbers because most coaches won't. Not the highlight reel version. The real version, including the part where my calories had to drop lower than they ever have before and why I was genuinely floored by it.

In this episode I'm pulling back the curtain on three years of my own fat loss data, what changed in 2026, and why your numbers will always look completely different than mine, and why that's not only okay but expected. Because understanding this is what makes the comparison trap finally feel pointless and helps you stop chasing someone else's calorie target and start figuring out your own.

I also get into the sneakiest form of self sabotage I see over and over which is the comparison spiral that starts the second you see someone online losing weight on 2,400 calories while you're grinding at 1,400 and how to get out of it before it derails everything you've been building. Plus the real reason a client of mine couldn't lose weight on 1,500 calories but started seeing consistent results the week we moved her up to 1,800 and what that tells you about why adherence always beats aggression.

My Non-Negotiables for a Fat Loss Phase (What's Actually Required to See Results)10 Jun 202600:28:53

Fat loss with a demanding job and a busy mom life is not easy, but it is absolutely doable! And in this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on exactly what my current fat loss phase has looked like from the inside with the systems, the data, the mindset, and the honest truth about what it actually takes to see results in your 40s. No sugarcoating or making it look effortless! Just the real version of what works.

I walk through the six non-negotiables I track every single week during a fat-loss phase and explain exactly why each one matters and how they work together to remove the guesswork, the emotion, and the drama that make weight loss feel so frustrating and random. I also get real about why I use a coach myself, even after years of doing this professionally, because doing it alone makes it harder and takes longer, and every busy mom over 40 deserves real support in her corner.

Plus, I share the four practical non-negotiables that actually keep me in a calorie deficit and the mindset shift that changes everything: motivation comes and goes, but systems stay!

Ready to stop winging it and finally build the systems that make fat loss doable?

Learn The Key to Fat Loss So You Stop Thinking About it Forever 03 Jun 202600:27:25

The diet gave you rules but never explained “why” so when it stopped working, you blamed yourself. This episode is the nutrition education you never got, and the missing piece behind every diet that's failed you.

I'm breaking down exactly what I teach every client about protein, carbs, and fat — what they actually do, how much you actually need, and why understanding this makes weight loss feel doable in a way it never has before.

In this episode:

  • Why protein is non-negotiable over 40 and how low you probably are right now
  • The truth about carbs and why cutting them is likely making things worse, not better
  • Why some women are unknowingly consuming 1,000+ calories a day from "healthy" fats
  • The fiber piece nobody talks about and why it might be behind your digestion issues
  • The honest truth about the high-protein snack aisle

Good Girl Conditioning Literally Almost Killed Me (Until I Learned This)27 May 202600:21:03

In this episode, I'm sharing something really personal from an experience during the fall of 2024 that I never want to relive but am so grateful happened. For the first time in my life I experienced debilitating joint pain that traveled through my entire body, had me sleeping 30-45 minutes a night for weeks. All while selling my home, moving, running my business, and raising two boys on my own. What came out of that season was one of the most important skills I believe every woman over 40 needs to develop — knowing how to advocate for your body, speak up when you're not getting the right support, and not let good girl conditioning keep you stuck and suffering.

I walk you through the full story from the dismissive providers, the moment I finally said enough, and the doctor who changed everything by actually listening. But I also connect this to something so many of you are navigating with your weight loss and body composition goals. If you're doing all the right things and still not seeing results, the answer isn't to eat less and push harder. So often there's something hormonal, thyroid-related, or metabolic at play that's been dismissed or overlooked and you deserve providers and support that actually gets to the root cause.

If you're listening to this thinking "I know something is off but I don't know where to turn"... that's exactly what my 1:1 Strategy Call is for. In 45 minutes we'll get clear on what's been holding you back, what your body actually needs right now, and map out a path forward specific to your life.

Exactly How I Eat More & Lose Weight 20 May 202600:27:55

Have you seen those women on Instagram claiming to eat more food than ever while still losing weight? In this episode, I'm breaking down exactly what's behind that claim and whether it's actually possible. Spoiler… It is, and it isn't.

It actually comes down to one key concept: food volume. We cover the science of calorie deficits, why a calorie isn't always felt the same way in your body, and how shifting what you eat (not just how much) can completely change how full and satisfied you feel while still dropping body fat.

I'm sharing my personal go-to foods when I'm in a fat loss phase, and also get real about the foods I pull back on when I'm trying to lose weight.

If you've been white-knuckling your way through a restrictive diet and wondering why the scale won't budge, this episode is for you.

Teaching Your Daughter Body Positivity AND Being a Mom Losing Weight 13 May 202600:25:54

If you've ever felt guilty for wanting to lose weight because you're afraid of what it will model for your kids… this episode is for you. So many moms come to work with me carrying this exact fear. They don't want their daughters to see them tracking food or saying no to dessert, and develop a negative relationship with their body. And that fear comes from a real and loving place, but somewhere along the way, the body positivity movement, as necessary and important as it was, swung so far that wanting to feel good in your body has started to feel like a shameful secret. And that overcorrection is doing its own kind of damage.

In this episode, I’m having the conversation nobody in this space wants to have about what a genuinely healthy relationship with food actually looks like, and here's a hint, it's not always saying yes. Why tracking your food in front of your kids is not the same as toxic diet culture. What you're actually modeling for your children when you pursue your own health goals with intention. And why teaching your kids that it's okay to say no sometimes might be one of the most important things you can do for them.

If this episode resonates and you're ready to stop treating your health goals like something to hide, I'd love to have a conversation with you.

Book a $97 1:1 strategy call and let's build an approach that works for you, your goals, and your family. Because you don't have to choose between feeling good in your body and being a great example for your kids. When you do this right, you actually do both better.

The Secret Thing That Helps My Clients Lose Weight (that most coaches never talk about)06 May 202600:23:24

Ready to figure out exactly what YOUR body needs to see results?

Grab one of the limited 1:1 strategy call spots here!

In this episode, I'm sharing one of the most important mindset shifts I teach my clients that changes everything when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off for good. It's not a new meal plan or a stricter diet. It's learning to approach food from an abundance mindset instead of a scarcity one. I know that might sound like soft woo-woo stuff, but the reason most diets fail has nothing to do with discipline and everything to do with the psychological response restriction triggers in your brain. The forbidden fruit effect is real, it's well studied, and it's exactly why every diet that gave you a list of foods you couldn't have ended with you eating all of those foods the second it was over.

I walk you through exactly how scarcity thinking shows up in food, the all-or-nothing cycle, the language you use without even realizing it, and the self-fulfilling prophecy that keeps you stuck, starting over every Monday. Then I introduce my Add Don't Restrict framework, the practical tool I use with every single client to shift from restriction to abundance in a way that actually fits real life.

Plus, I get real about how this mindset works way beyond food, including how it changed the way I parent and how, on a recent 1:1 strategy call, I helped a client have a productive conversation with her husband about the mental load for the very first time. Because when you start building an abundance mindset in one area of your life, it tends to show up everywhere else too. And that's when things really start to get good.

Why Every Diet You Tried Gave You Rules But Never Gave You Results29 Apr 202600:14:33

Ready to figure out exactly what YOUR body needs to see results?

Grab one of the limited 1:1 strategy call spots here!

What if the way to stop obsessing over food was to actually learn about it properly, once, for good? In this episode, I make a case that might sound counterintuitive at first: that the diets you tried between 25 and 35 didn't fail because you lacked discipline, but they failed because they gave you rules without ever giving you understanding. And rules without understanding only work under controlled conditions that don't apply to work trips, birthday dinners, or your mother-in-law's house on a Sunday night.

I introduce my core philosophy, "learn it once so you can stop thinking about it forever," and break down exactly what nutrition fluency actually looks like in practice. Including two of my most powerful food math tricks I teach inside the Reset: how to quickly identify whether a product is actually high-protein and how to find genuinely high-fiber carbs using a simple ratio that takes about five seconds to check. These aren't rules, they're tools that put you back in control of your own decisions.

Plus I get real about why getting educated on nutrition is one of the most powerful things a busy mom can do for her mental load long term, because decisions that currently drain your energy every single day eventually become completely automatic, and that's when everything changes!

What does it actually take to change your body composition after 40 — not just lose weight, but genuinely build muscle and reduce body fat at the same time? In this episode, I pull back the curtain on my own training journey including why I hired a new coach in 2026 and what 12 weeks of being genuinely humbled in the gym taught me about what it actually takes to see physique changes as an experienced lifter.

I break down exactly what I changed, why the scale went up during a phase where my body was visibly changing, and what body recomposition actually means, including why most women who think they need to lose 10-15 lbs actually need to add muscle and reduce body fat to feel and look the way they want.

Plus, I share the story of my client who was religiously doing cardio kickboxing five days a week at 5:30 am and still gaining weight, and what the real problem was.

If you've been working out consistently and still not seeing the changes you want in your body, this episode is going to tell you exactly why and what to do about it.

Do you have to track to lose weight?15 Apr 202600:16:35

Book your 1:1 Strategy Call Here!

In this episode, I’m answering one of the most common questions I get from high-achieving women over 40: Do I have to track calories and macros to lose weight? And the honest answer… is it depends. While many coaches require tracking, I take a more individualized approach. For some women, tracking is a powerful and necessary tool to create awareness and momentum. For others, it’s not the place to start. I break down why there’s no one-size-fits-all plan and how I determine the right strategy based on your current habits, goals, and lifestyle—because real results come from a plan that actually fits you.

I also walk you through the true value of tracking—not just for hitting calorie targets, but for understanding how to fuel your body in a way that supports fat loss, energy, and satisfaction. Using real-life examples (yes, including my favorite Starbucks breakfast), I explain how small shifts in food choices can dramatically change how full and energized you feel without increasing calories. Whether you’re brand new to macros or have tried tracking before, this episode will help you see it as a tool for awareness—not restriction.

And if tracking isn’t the right starting point for you, I share alternative strategies that I use with my clients to drive results without overwhelm—like improving meal consistency, reducing hidden calories, and using my simple “build your bowl” method to create balanced meals in minutes. This episode is all about cutting through the noise, focusing on what actually works, and helping you build a sustainable approach to feeling confident, strong, and in control of your body again.

The Honest Self Assessment My Clients Hate at First And Then Can't Stop Talking About08 Apr 202600:26:27

In this episode, I’m sharing one of the most powerful tools I use inside my 6-week Reset: an honest self-assessment that helps you finally understand why your effort isn’t matching your results. If you’ve ever felt like you’re “doing everything” but still not seeing progress, this is for you. I walk you through how to identify the gap between your current habits and the outcomes you want—because that gap is exactly where we focus to create real, sustainable weight loss without doing more or burning out.

I’m breaking down the exact rubric I use with my clients, covering the foundational areas that actually move the needle after 40: movement, sleep, stress, nutrition, hydration, digestion, and alcohol. I also share real client examples so you can see how small, strategic shifts in just one area can create massive results. This isn’t about being perfect or doing everything at once—it’s about getting clear on what matters most for you and taking focused, doable action.

If you’re ready to stop guessing and start feeling confident in your approach, I’ll show you how to start applying this to your own life right away. And if you want support, I share how you can go deeper with a personalized strategy. Because when you know exactly where to focus, everything starts to feel simpler, more doable—and life really does get so good.

Why Even The Smartest, Most Successful Women Over 40 Still Struggle With Weight Loss01 Apr 202600:13:37

Last chance — The Reset doors close this Sunday!

Click here to grab your spot before we kick off on April 6th!

You manage deadlines, lead teams, raise humans, and hold it all together. So why does losing weight feel like the one thing you just can't crack?

In this episode I'm breaking down the three real reasons it feels so hard to lose weight when you're so good at everything else, and none of them have anything to do with discipline.

We talk about why high-achieving women have been conditioned to put themselves last, how decision fatigue is quietly sabotaging your best intentions by 8:30pm, and why the external accountability that makes you so successful at work is completely missing when it comes to your health.

Plus I share the story of a client who had breakfast and lunch totally dialed in, dropped 20 lbs, and then hit a wall. What was getting in the way wasn't what she was eating. It was the stories she was telling herself about inconveniencing her family. We'll talk about how we worked through that and got the scale moving again.

If you've ever felt like you're doing everything right and still can't get consistent… You're not broken. You just haven't had the right systems and support in place. Yet.

The Lesson That Made My Clients Lose Their Minds25 Mar 202600:16:03

The Doors to The Reset are officially OPEN!

Click here to grab your spot before we kick off on April 6th!

Today's episode is a good one, and fair warning, it might make you a little uncomfortable (in the best way).

Sometimes the version of you who finally feels strong, confident, and at peace in her body is going to disappoint people. She's going to say no. She's going to stop explaining herself. And to the good girl you've always been — that might feel a little mean.

In this episode I get personal, from a volleyball coach who canceled my milkshake order in front of the entire team, to always being the only woman taking notes in the boardroom, and connect the dots between people-pleasing, over-functioning, and why weight loss feels so hard even when you're doing everything right.

Because the healed version of you isn't actually meaner. She's just less available for things that used to hurt her.

This one's a re-listen. Grab your coffee, open your notes, and come ready to think about where in your life you might need to get just a little bit meaner.

My Top 10 Tips for Eating Out While Losing Weight18 Mar 202600:21:43

THIS IS THE LAST WEEK TO ADD YOUR NAME TO The Rest Waitlist before the doors open for the April round. The waitlist is the only place to get 20% Off + Bonuses + Early Access!

Eating out is one of the places where even the most successful, high-achieving women start second-guessing themselves on a weight loss journey. You can lead teams, manage million-dollar budgets, and raise kids, but suddenly a basket of chips at a restaurant makes you question every decision. In this episode, I break down why this isn’t a discipline problem, it’s a self-trust problem. And the good news? Self-trust is something you can build.

If you’ve ever felt like you have to choose between losing weight or enjoying meals out, this conversation will help you find the messy middle where both are possible. I’m sharing my top 10 practical tips for eating out while still supporting your goals, from choosing restaurants strategically and previewing menus, to avoiding the “show up starving” trap and using my simple Rule of Two when ordering. These are the same tools my clients use to enjoy dinners out, feel in control of their choices, and still wake up the next day feeling good in their bodies.

Because long-term weight loss isn’t about perfection or restriction, it’s about building systems and self-trust so you can navigate real life. In this episode, I’ll show you how to approach restaurant meals in a way that feels confident, sustainable, and aligned with the life you actually want to live.

The Missing Piece to Feeling Hot Again11 Mar 202600:17:11

In this episode, I’m sharing what I believe is the biggest missing piece when it comes to losing weight and feeling hot after 40, and it’s probably not what you think. It’s self-trust. I open up about my dating life over the past year, including a very public breakup, a deep betrayal, and the unexpected decision to try again with someone I once walked away from. What I realized through all of it is this: the same self-trust required to navigate love, uncertainty, and messy second chances is the exact self-trust required to finally feel good in your body.

If you’ve ever lost weight and regained it… If you’ve tried every plan but still second-guess yourself… if you’re exhausted from starting over, this episode will hit. I break down two practical ways to rebuild self-trust: creating an “evidence bank” to prove you can handle discomfort, and using data (rather than emotion) to guide your decisions. Whether we’re talking about going to bed slightly hungry in a calorie deficit, lifting heavier than you thought you could, or not spiraling over the scale, the goal isn’t perfection. It’s proving to yourself that you can trust the woman making the decisions.

Because weight loss after 40 isn’t about more discipline. It’s about becoming a woman who trusts herself to try again, to stay consistent, to tolerate uncertainty, and to stop blowing everything up when it’s not perfect. I also share how this work is the foundation of my 6-week Reset program, where we rebuild that trust with systems, coaching, and support that actually fit your real life. If you’re ready to stop second guessing yourself and finally build traction that lasts, this episode is for you.

The Levels of Partner Support and How That Impacts Weight Loss04 Mar 202600:19:07

If you’re trying to lose weight and feel better in your body, but your partner’s support feels… inconsistent then this episode is for you! I break down the three levels of partner support from the rare “all in with you” teammate to the openly unsupportive critic, and the most common (and trickiest) gray zone—the partner who says they’re supportive but whose actions don’t quite align. I share stories from my own life as a single mom and from clients who’ve navigated everything from subtle resistance to full buy-in, and what actually makes the difference long term.

This conversation goes deeper than food and workouts. I walk you through how to get crystal clear on what support you actually need, how to communicate your “why” in a way that truly lands, and when it’s time to pivot, set boundaries, or build systems that don’t rely on someone else changing. From giving your partner a simple dinner template (download my Build Your Bowl Method here!) to outsourcing meals or household support, I challenge the “I should be able to do it all myself” narrative that keeps so many high-achieving women stuck.

Here’s the truth I want you to hear: your results are not determined by your partner’s level of support. They’re determined by your willingness to advocate for yourself, adjust when necessary, and build repeatable systems that protect your goals. Weight loss isn’t just about the scale. It’s about becoming the woman who knows what she needs, communicates it clearly, and stops waiting for perfect conditions to feel strong, confident, and at home in her body. If you’re ready to stop negotiating with yourself and start building that identity, this episode will show you where to begin.

Exactly How to See More Results From All Your Effort25 Feb 202600:15:26

Ever feel like you’re doing all the things…working out consistently, staying busy, breaking a sweat, yet nothing actually changes? In this episode, I’m unpacking a concept from my HR days that explains exactly why that happens: Rocking Horse Syndrome. It’s the illusion of productivity with lots of movement but zero traction.

In the workplace, it looks like endless meetings, over-polished decks, and constant “busy work” with no real outcomes. And the same exact thing is happening in women’s fitness and weight loss journeys after 40.

I break down how this shows up in workouts from daily cardio, random classes, constantly switching routines, where effort feels high but results stay the same. I share why this approach keeps women exhausted, frustrated, and stuck, and why it has nothing to do with willpower or age. Instead, it’s about applying the wrong productivity model to your body. Just like at work, real results come from focused effort, clear structure, and doing the work that actually moves the needle, even when it doesn’t give you an instant dopamine hit.

We’ll walk through what effective strength training really looks like, how to choose the right weights, why consistency beats variety, and how progressive overload is the missing link most women never learn.

If you’re ready to stop rocking back and forth and finally see your body respond to the effort you’re putting in, this episode will change how you think about workouts, and productivity, forever.

How Comfort is Keeping You Stuck (and less hot)??18 Feb 202600:10:47

What if comfort is the exact reason you’re not seeing change?

In this episode, I unpack the surprising parallels between participating in an economic boycott and finally making weight loss stick. Both require the same uncomfortable truth: real change demands inconvenience. It’s not glamorous. It’s not effortless. It’s Wednesday at 6pm when you’re tired, out of eggs, and tempted to say “forget it.” But that friction? That’s the signal you’re actually operating outside the system that kept you stuck.

We talk about why dabbling doesn’t work, why keeping the door “cracked open” drains your energy, and how identity shifts are what make habits stick long-term. You’ll learn why your nervous system treats inconvenience like danger, how to expand your tolerance for discomfort, and why building systems for the inconvenient moments (not your most motivated days) is the real key to sustainable weight loss.

If you’re ready to stop mistaking comfort for alignment and start building habits that actually last, this episode will shift how you think about change.

And if you’re thinking, “Okay… but I need help building those systems,” I created the Hot Mom Guide exactly for that.

How to Use Your Body (and feel good in it) As An Act of Resistance 11 Feb 202600:12:20

In this episode of This Life Gets Good, I’m talking honestly about something many of us are feeling but not always saying out loud: how heavy the world feels right now, and how that weight shows up in our bodies. I share why I’ve been speaking more openly about what’s happening around us, why so many women have quietly thanked me for doing so, and why I recognize the privilege I have in being able to use my voice. If you’re a busy, high-achieving mom trying to hold it together while consuming a nonstop news cycle, parenting, and working all at once…this conversation is for you.

I dive into how living in constant uncertainty and stress impacts your nervous system, your energy, and how you feel in your body and why wanting to feel strong, confident, and good right now is not superficial. It’s essential. Your body is the vessel through which you experience everything, and taking care of it is what allows you to keep showing up, making decisions, setting boundaries, and doing hard things. I talk about why joy matters (yes, even now), how small moments of mindfulness can ground you, and why strength training in particular has become one of the most powerful tools in my life.

This episode is a reminder that strong women are harder to manipulate, harder to silence, and less likely to shrink themselves to make others comfortable. Strength builds confidence, energy, boundaries, and trust in your own instincts and that matters deeply in the world we’re living in. My hope is that you leave this episode feeling steadier, more hopeful, and reminded that feeling good in your body isn’t selfish, it’s fuel. You deserve that, and I’m here to help you build it.

Rethinking Time, Productivity, and Why Your Body Is the Missing Variable04 Feb 202600:12:33

In this episode, I’m calling out a pattern I see constantly with high-achieving women over 40: you’re not stuck because you’re doing something wrong…you’re stuck because you’re applying the wrong productivity model to your body. The same “work harder, stay longer, do more” approach that may have worked in corporate settings is often the exact thing that slows results when it comes to workouts, nutrition, and feeling good in your body. I share stories from my 20+ years in corporate leadership, including how efficiency was often rewarded with more work, not better outcomes, and why hours logged never actually equaled impact.

If you’re already working out and trying to eat well, but still not seeing or feeling the changes you want, this episode will help you reframe where your time and energy actually matter. Consistency beats intensity. Support beats discipline. And doing the right things beats doing more things. I also share exactly why simple, effective workouts and a realistic nutrition plan are the key for busy moms, and how you can stop overworking your body the same way you once overworked your career. If this resonates, I share how to go deeper with my free Hot Mom guide, where I walk you through exactly how I lost 10 pounds in 10 weeks as a busy single mom in my 40s without blowing up my life.

When Your Body Becomes Part of Your Performance Review 28 Jan 202600:13:19

In today’s episode, I’m talking about something that so many women feel but rarely say out loud about the reality of gender and beauty bias at work, and how our bodies quietly become part of how we’re evaluated.

I unpack how this bias shows up in real ways in performance reviews, “executive presence,” promotions, and compensation and how different the rules are for men versus women. While male leaders are judged almost exclusively on competence, women are expected to be excellent and acceptable. Polished, put together, visually palatable. And at the same time, the way we work with the stress, the pressure, the constant doing, actively creates the very bodies we’re being judged for. That contradiction is exhausting, infuriating, and deeply unfair… but ignoring it doesn’t make it go away.

Most importantly, this episode is about agency. I’m not here to tell you to reject femininity or punish yourself to prove a point. I’m here to help you stop sacrificing your body on the altar of a system that isn’t built for you.

We talk about what actually helps by supporting your body, reducing stress, setting boundaries, protecting time for workouts, planning meals, and creating systems so you’re not relying on discipline when you’re already depleted. Because when you feel good in your body, you take up more space, and we need more women like you doing exactly that.

How To Make Intimacy Better Over 40??21 Jan 202600:15:45

In this birthday episode, I’m reflecting on what it actually means to feel good in your body as you get older and why, at 46, I feel more confident, connected, and yes, hotter than I ever did in my 20s or 30s. Looking back at my 2016 “before” photo, the hardest part for me wasn’t being 75 pounds heavier. It was how disconnected and depleted I felt in my body. I didn’t fully realize how bad it was until I started feeling better, and that disconnection quietly spilled into every part of my life, including intimacy, which became another exhausting “should” instead of something I actually wanted.

Today, intimacy feels completely different for me, and it has nothing to do with having more time, less stress, or a “perfect” life. I’m still a busy single mom running a business, but I built a body and a life that actually supports me. In this episode, I share how reducing my mental load, addressing decision fatigue, and creating real systems (yes, unsexy systems) helped me feel safer, more present, and more comfortable in my own skin. When your body isn’t chronically overwhelmed, it finally has space to relax, connect, and enjoy intimacy again.

This episode isn’t just about sex, it’s about what changes when you stop treating exhaustion as normal and start setting your life up to support your body. I break down the simple decision-making framework I use with my clients to delegate, delete, schedule, and focus on what truly matters, and how these shifts impact everything from energy and weight loss to confidence and desire. If you’ve felt disconnected from your body or chalked it up to “this is just how it is after 40,” I want you to know it doesn’t have to be that way. Feeling good in your body isn’t a nice bonus—it’s the result.

When the Pinterest-Perfect Mom and the High-Achieving Corporate Leader Collide Your Body Loses14 Jan 202600:11:05

In this episode of This Life Gets Good, I share a relatable story about motherhood, ambition, and the invisible pressure so many high-achieving women carry. From Pinterest-perfect birthday parties to a demanding corporate career, I open up about the years I spent trying to be two versions of myself at once and how that constant overcompensation quietly took a toll on my body, my energy, and my sense of self. What looked like “doing it all” on the outside felt like failure on the inside, and eventually, my body forced me to pay attention.

I share the moment I realized that exhaustion, pain, and self-neglect were not proof of being a good mom or a dedicated professional. Then we’ll unpack the beliefs I had to unlearn about guilt, sacrifice, boundaries, and what it really means to show up for your kids and how prioritizing my health didn’t take away from my family, but actually gave them more of the version of me that mattered. This conversation is a powerful reminder that being physically present isn’t the same as being engaged, and that depletion is not devotion.

If you’re a high-achieving mom who’s already “doing all the things” but still doesn’t feel good in her body, this episode will resonate deeply. I share why you don’t need to hit rock bottom, push harder, or sacrifice yourself to feel strong, confident, and healthy and why a smarter, more supportive approach changes everything.

Why Skipping My Son’s Concert Was the Kindest Thing I Could Do31 Dec 202500:12:31

Boundaries often get a bad reputation, especially for women who are used to being helpful, available, and “easygoing.” In this episode, Lauren shares a personal story that highlights how setting boundaries can feel uncomfortable at first, but ultimately creates more ease, clarity, and connection for everyone involved. What started as a parenting and scheduling dilemma became a powerful reminder that choosing yourself doesn’t have to come at the expense of anyone else.

You’ll learn why boundaries feel so hard for high-achieving women, how they’re deeply connected to your energy, nervous system, and ability to feel good in your body, and why boundaries are not about pushing people away…they’re about showing up without resentment. This episode offers a fresh perspective on boundaries as an act of kindness, along with simple, realistic ways to start practicing them in your real life.

What Even Married Women Should Know About Dating as a Single Mom Over 4026 Dec 202500:11:39

In this episode of This Life Gets Good, I share some very real, very honest reflections on dating in my 40s as a divorced mom and why feeling good in your body is not optional, but it’s foundational. I talk about how body confidence has completely changed the way I show up in dating, from feeling abundance instead of scarcity, to walking away from situations, behaviors, and relationships that don’t align with what I truly want. This conversation isn’t really about dating; it's about how confidence in your body shapes what you tolerate, what you settle for, and what you believe you deserve in every area of your life.

I also unpack an uncomfortable truth: this confidence didn’t come from a number on the scale, but from the habits, boundaries, and choices that made me feel strong, capable, and grounded in myself. If this episode brings up discomfort, envy, or a quiet desire to feel better in your own body, that’s not a flaw...it’s information. We talk about how feeling good in your body ripples into your relationships, career, finances, and boundaries, and why wanting that doesn’t make you shallow, it makes you honest.

The #1 Thing That Kills Most of My Clients Progress Before We Work Together (that you'd actually never guess)26 Dec 202500:11:34

In episode two of This Life Gets Good, I break down the invisible reason weight loss feels so hard for high-achieving women in their 40s, and it has nothing to do with willpower. I explain how carrying the mental load of work, family, and life creates extreme decision fatigue and why, by the end of the day, your brain is biologically wired to choose the easiest option, not the “best” one.

I also share how removing decisions, not adding more discipline, was the real reason I lost 75 pounds and kept it off, even through single-mom life, perimenopause, and a demanding career. You’ll learn how decision fatigue impacts food choices, workouts, sleep, and nighttime routines, plus simple, practical ways to start reducing decisions immediately. If you’ve ever felt exhausted, stuck, and frustrated despite doing “all the right things,” this episode will help you finally understand why, and show you a more sustainable way forward.

A Must To-Do To Start Feeling Hot Over 4026 Dec 202500:14:14

In this first episode of This Life Gets Good, I share the personal story that completely changed how I coach women in perimenopause and why “just doing more” stopped working for me at 44. After losing 75 pounds, building muscle, and creating a life I loved, my body suddenly felt unfamiliar—exhaustion, joint pain, brain fog, and stubborn weight gain showed up seemingly overnight. I break down the science behind why our mid-40s can feel so hard and why this season isn’t a personal failure or a lack of discipline.

I also introduce the foundation of my approach: systems + body awareness. I explain why checking all the boxes isn’t enough, how being disconnected from your body can stall results, and share a simple, realistic way to start reconnecting today, without adding another overwhelming to-do. If you’ve ever wondered, “Is this just how it is after 40?” this episode is here to challenge that belief and remind you that feeling good in your body is still possible and allowed.
