Emily's story 20 Apr 202501:01:21

This was such a beautiful episode! In this episode Emily shares her evidence based values and beliefs when it comes to optimal health, development and secure attachment for infants.

It was never a question for Emily whether she would co-sleep with her baby. She instinctively knew it was what her and her baby's biology expected. Just like it wasn't a question how she would give birth. The saying, "we birth how we live" goes for parenting too. Emily chose her co-sleeping advocate of a midwife carefully and surrounded herself with other families that shared her values. Co-sleeping with her baby felt like the most natural experience and provided oodles of rest and bonding for her and her baby. Her son is currently 2.5 and still happily sleeping in her bed. She even shares a few tips for baby-led gentle weaning while co-sleeping!

Emily works within the grand spiral of women-led care. From hosting Women's Circles & Ceremony, to walking with women from conception through to the postpartum, Emily found her soul calling. She is a former RN turned physiological birth mentor and consultant. She is known as The Birth Advocate on social media. She offers online circles & courses for anyone seeking a deeply spiritual and physiological conception, pregnancy, labor, birth, & postpartum.

Lastly, she hosts a podcast called, Soul Evolution: Embodied Women's Wisdom, Birth Stories & More.

Her tender loving care may be accessed virtually worldwide or locally in Southern Maine, USA where she currently calls home.

Nina's story25 Apr 202501:06:14

Nina is living a wild life, honouring the full duality that life has to offer. She and her husband became nomads only days before conceiving. Their son was born in a birth center in Berlin and they went on to travel (half of) the world with their three month old newborn - happily co-sleeping from the beginning.

Nina is a sacred space holder and a fellow sacred birth worker mentee sister. In deep reverence of live and in knowing that every soul carries everything they need already inside of them, that we are born perfect, Nina is all about empowering and inspiring people to trust themselves, their intuition, their voices and own truth.

Her work is to hold space for and support souls in remembering that everything is connected, and living, breathing, birthing, and creating life consciously. Motherhood and parenting is one of the most profound and transformational spiritual journeys for her.

She feels strongly that her own inner work over the years has immensely prepared her for pregnancy, birth, and being a mother, and now also being a sacred birth worker and space holder for other women and their families. She is a mother to 21 month old Kailo Aurelius and in sacred union with her beloved husband David. Family (blood and soul) means everything to her.

Anna's story02 May 202500:58:46

In this episode Anna and I weave through many of the highs and lows in that first year of Motherhood, especially the struggle of juggling sleep deprivation with pre Motherhood lifestyle and recognising the need to slow down. We cover so much valuable information and had many laughs along the way.

Anna is from Portland, USA, and has one son. She is a free birthing mama, craniosacral therapist and homeopath in training. She views herself as a lifelong student and enjoys studying the healing arts. To quote Anna, 'currently, my most difficult study is toddlerhood!' She believes that learning how to surrender moment by moment and be fully present is the ultimate lesson.

Imogen's story09 May 202501:07:51

Imogen shares so much wisdom and beauty in this episode as she takes us through the first years of her daughters life. She shares the story of their ceremony whilst weaning her daughter and how sacred this time was for her. This was such an inspiring chat and filled me with joy.

Imogen Shaw is an artist and grief guide from the UK, currently living in California.

Imogen is a passionate birth nerd, grief advocate and creatrix who strongly believes in the therapeutic benefits of processing emotions through art and storytelling.

She is married to Luke, they have a 3.5 year old daughter together and are expecting their second baby any day. Imogen also is a step parent to her 10 year old step daughter who they have a 50% custody with in a week-on-week-off schedule.

Becoming a mother is the best and hardest thing she's ever done and she is beyond-words-grateful for the ways it has enriched her life and shown her areas that needed to grow.

Nicole's Story16 May 202500:58:29

Nicole is a mother, a wife and a daughter of the Earth. Originally from South Africa, she now calls Bristol, England home. Nicole has been on a journey of coming back to her innate feminine wisdom for some years now, a journey which she believes prepared her for the transformational rite of passage that is pregnancy, birth and motherhood. Nicole gave birth to her beautiful son Oakley in November 2023 and knew right from the start that they would be co-sleeping. She was so sure in this knowing that she didn't even buy a crib or next-to-me cot. Despite having a blissful start to their co-sleeping journey, Nicole and Oakley encountered some challenges when he was close to 1 years old. Nicole tuned into her own body - listening to her intuition and honouring both her and Oakley's needs - and decided to make some gentle changes around their sleep which benefitted both her and her son. Despite the way her path unfolded, Nicole is still a huge advocate for co-sleeping and struggles to see how mothers do it any other way, especially in those early days. She believes that co-sleeping is such a natural and beautiful bonding experience between mother and child, one that offers a child a safe space for years to come.

Nicole's work is rooted in supporting women to come back home to themselves by reminding them that they are daughters of the Earth. She is known as The Grounded Mama on Instagram. Nicole offers a safe space for women to step into their intuitive power and come back home to the wisdom of their hearts and wombs. She believes that it is from this place of grounded connection that women can tap into their authentic power, as well as into their ability to surrender, trust and lead with love. Nicole is a holistic birth & postpartum doula, walking alongside women as they navigate the journey of pregnancy, birth and motherhood. She also holds sacred women's circles and facilitates embodied yoga and pregnancy yoga.

Her greatest act of service, however, is being the river banks which hold her son's flowing waters.

Laura's story23 May 202501:15:44

Laura Guinnane is an INNATE Traditions postpartum care provider and a student midwife studying under elder midwife Whapio through The Matrona. She is a somatic practitioner, storyteller, and the creator and host of the Embodied Mother Podcast—a space devoted to raw, embodied conversations about birth, trauma, healing, and the sacred journey of motherhood.

Born in Ireland and drawing from her Celtic lineage, Laura lives in deep reverence for the cyclical nature of life. Her path is rooted in feminine wisdom, earth-based practices, and storytelling as medicine. Following the emergency caesarean birth of her son, she was initiated into a powerful reclamation of her body and feminine essence—a process she calls the Wonder in her Wound. This experience awakened her devotion to supporting women in reconnecting with their own innate knowing. She has since refocused her work to support mothers in coming back into connection with their embodied wisdom and pleasure through somatic movement, touch, and sound.

Laura weaves pre and perinatal dynamics throughout her work, bringing awareness to how our nervous systems are shaped from preconception, conception, gestation, birth, and the first three years of life. She supports identifying imprints from this period, known as the primal continuum of life, and using tools to orient back to the original blueprint—where life can thrive.

Now living in northern Thailand, Laura is co-parenting and worldschooling her five-year-old son while seeking the next place for her family to put down roots and grow in community and connection to land. Her work is an invitation into the depths of embodied motherhood—where trauma meets transformation, and the whispers of the womb can once again be heard.

Laura offers 1:1 support for women in all stages of their evolution: cyclical living, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond.
