How Templates Can Make Work Easier and More Enjoyable08 Mar 202300:20:42

Reports are just a part of being a therapist, right? Well, yes, but maybe there is a better way.  Learn how Dr. Michelle Boisvert, Speech-Language Pathologist, took burnout and turned it into an opportunity for additional revenue and more time for clients.

Michelle Boisvert, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, ADHD-RSP, is an Evaluation Specialist and Clinical Development Lead at World Tide, Inc and Easy Report Pro. She considered leaving the profession. One of the main reasons was the number of evaluative referrals she received. She felt like she could not keep up with them and the work followed her home every night, preventing her from spending time with my family. She knew something needed to change, so she and her computer programmer husband developed easyReportPRO.

How Setting The Right Tone and Feel Can Help Your Office Seem More Inviting and Comfortable15 Dec 202200:20:27

Set The Right Tone For an Inviting And Comfortable Office

Creating an experience includes a solid intake process, great marketing, and beautiful branding,
but many practices don’t give much thought to creating an inviting atmosphere for their ideal
clients. “There is so much emphasis nowadays on the online aspect of marketing that many
people let the more physical side of marketing fall by the wayside...The decor is one aspect that
is important when you are trying to attract the right target demographic. You want to make sure
that the people that you are trying to draw in will enjoy being there.” – Better Decorating Bible

Bio: We are joined in this episode by Dr. Erin Rushing, an audiologist, and Walter Rushing, who
own Comprehensive Hearing Solutions in Houma, Louisiana.

Working for other audiology clinics helped me discover that, unlike other clinical settings, private
practice allows me the time needed to listen to my patients and the flexibility to address their
concerns and put them at ease. When the opportunity to start a practice in southern Louisiana
presented itself, I felt like I was coming home. I am passionate about serving Louisiana’s Bayou
Region, and we are proud to offer our patients the most comprehensive hearing healthcare in
the area.

With over 10 years of training and a love for helping people live fulfilling lives, they have put a lot
of focus on crafting every step of the process to offer the most comprehensive hearing care to
find better solutions that are comfortable and easy for their clients.

How Building A Network Has Helped Me Build My Business - with Rian Chatterton16 Nov 202200:15:13

For some business owners, networking may sound scary or intimidating, but it does not have to be when we understand the true nature of networking. A renowned business speaker, Sarah Zolecki says, “Networking is not about collecting contacts. Networking is about planting relationships.”

On this episode, I spoke with Rian Chatterton, owner of Boise Speech and Hearing Clinic, Center for Orofacial Myology, and Chatterton Myo Courses, to hear how she uses networking to serve her clients better and to build her three vibrant businesses.

Bio:

As a child, Rian Chatterton struggled with her R sounds. She loved the experience of attending speech therapy and was able to overcome her speech challenges. Being able to articulate clearly, helped her gain confidence and no longer feel embarrassed. This struggle led to a love for the field of speech-language pathology, where she has worked since 2006.

Rian took over ownership of Boise Speech and Hearing Clinic in the summer of 2013 and established the Center for Orofacial Myology and Chatterton Myo Courses™ in 2021.

Her desire to make a more significant impact on those who struggle with Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders led to her opening up the Chatterton Myo Courses™ program to other professionals in the field of Speech-Language. This program has a 35-year-long history with Boise Speech and Hearing Clinic as it was developed by the owner, Galen Peachey, who was one of the founders of the IAOM.

In the Beginning...01 Nov 202200:10:45

This episode is a quick introduction to our host, Heather Jensen, owner of Therapy Marketing Solutions and Inspired Web Design.

She discusses how she started working with therapy-based clinics and the overall goal of this podcast to help small clinic owners build thriving businesses while diffusing some of the confusion and mystery behind marketing their businesses.

Bio:

As a mom with kids who have struggled with speech and one with Autism, ADHD, and anxiety, taking kids to various therapy, including occupational therapy, counseling, speech therapy, audiology, physical therapy, chiropractors, and many other therapists, has been a part of my life in one way or another for the past 18 years. These opportunities have taught me much about therapy-based clinics and endeared me to the hardworking professionals that own them.

Combining my personal experiences with my marketing background as a StoryBrand Certified Guide and web designer gives me a unique perspective on therapy-based clinics. I have been an ideal client to many of these clinics at one point or another. I have spent time in their waiting room, researching clinics and navigating onboarding and therapy. I have become friends with the therapists. I laughed and cried with them. But the truth is that although many of them are extraordinarily qualified to treat my child and other patients, they have struggled to bring growth to their clinic. That through education, training, and experience, they have learned to become incredible therapists but have not had the opportunity to learn how to run or market their businesses. That often has been a sink-or-swim experience for them. This has fueled my passion for working with clinic owners to help them build thriving and vibrant practices.
