Due to the current situation with payment processors exerting illegal limitations of free speech on platforms such as Itch.io and Steam, we are encouraging you to call and email Visa and Mastercard to tell them what a harmful move this is. If you're unfamiliar with the situation, Robin from Girl Mode has written a piece about the current situation with itch.io. When this was happening to Steam, she wrote a piece about that too. yellat.money is a great resource for telling payment processors that this is a terrible idea and is very harmful. There's also an ACLU petition. If you have a 401(k) or other investment account, you have a pretty direct method to lodge complaints. One of the best things you can do to take back control of content and ensure safe spaces continue to exist online is to build your own website. Here are some resources from Emily. TK also wants you to make a website. Static Site Generators are fun, easy, and portable. You can host for free and take your site with you if you want to change platforms because you own all your own data. Recommendations:
