This episode starts off with a book review for The Sin Eater written by Megan Campisi - a witchy fiction book and we delve into the historical Sin Eater tradition.

We also have the wonderful Kirsty on the podcast today who is the creator of Mindfully Crafted which blends her lifelong passion for craft with a keen interest in mindfulness practices. Inspired by folklore and the stories our ancestors would have shared while stitching together; among the kits you'll find selkies, deities and symbolism connecting us to the divine feminine. Blessed Ostara Witches!!!

In today episode I will be reviewing the book Yoga for Witches written by Sarah Robinson and also talking Scottish Folk Magick so delving into saining, elfshot, animism and juniper. As usual it gets pretty deep!

Playing us out at the end of the show we have a beautiful piece of music called Paponeireau which is a new project led by Shawn Fisher. The name comes from his old cottage lake, Papineau, combined with "oneirology" - the study of dreams. Dreams are often an inspiration for Shawn's music, helping with the creation of otherworldly sounds. Mantis Moon is the first Paponeireau release. This song is completely made from live instrument recordings. The background synths are actually loops of a violin. The rain sounds are recordings Shawn took from his bedroom window. The wind chimes are attuned to chakras and the weighted clapper is made of green jade. This was a gift from his grandmother Margaret Minns - a gardener, crystal hound, and the caretaker of Papineau Lake.

Talking all about Aphrodite and how you can work and honour her, how to know if a deity is trying to get your attention and some self care that you may want to add to your life. I might have referenced a decadent bath ritual in this episode which you would of course have come to expect with talk around this goddess however you will also find a ton of scientific facts to back up why you should be sleeping nakey nakey naked amongst other more practical self care tips.
