This episode is funky. Not necessarily in a good way, it's just funky as hell. I've been begrudgingly sober for a week, we are still sick, I was struggling to breathe, and both of our voices sound crazy. Luckily, we had some good callers to bail us out. Sorry if a part near the ends seems to "skip" at one place. I said the last name of someone who I am genuinely terrified of. The kind of guy who makes outrageous claims like Ken Shamrock was the best man in his wedding, Simone Byles was at his house on a Tuesday teaching his daughter gymnastics, and last but not least he invented the question mark. Felt like I had to take it out so I can sleep at night and relax my sphinxxx.

As you may have seen on our Instagram this week, tragedy struck our family.

You see, every year Lauren gets an Aldi cheese advent calendar and reviews them on her Instagram and Facebook. Tuesday night she got stoned and left it out on our dining room table. Christmas was ruined. That is, until a good samaritan from Hanover Pennsylvania reached out offering their extra advent calendar. Suddenly, our plans to do an episode on a Christmas classic flew out the window and we were left wondering what to do. We decided to do what any reasonable podcast hosts would do:

a movie so catastrophically misjudged, it feels like a prank on both hollywood and the concept of good taste. we unpack the in’s and out’s of dwarves at the chinese buffet (yes, including plate strategy), pitch our new reality TV obsession little women: baltimore, ponder if a dead dwarf would be enough to fill a single vulture’s stomach, and try to wrap our melted brains around the fact that gary oldman plays a dwarf… by walking on his knees. that’s not a joke. that’s the movie.

what follows is a chaotic spiral into stunt casting, Peter Dinklage as a horny French marxist , and a script that feels like it was written immediately following a severe concussion.

buckle up. this one’s got short kings, long silences, and a truly cursed performance that no one asked for.

We were gonna do a long episode on the Lethal Weapon series but Friday I started having some wicked pain downstairs. After a lengthy interrogation of Lauren and the brief administration of a polygraph (which she passed), I saw a doctor and it turns out that I don't have a UTI or STD. Instead, I can find comfort in the fact that my pain is due to tiny shards ripping their way out of my member. We were going to release a holiday movie episode today but given recent happenings in the news and UFO space, we felt it prudent this past weekend to lock ourselves inside and consume a ton of rick simpson oil while watching alien documentaries. These are the sacrifices you make when you’re an artist.

To be honest, we barely talk about aliens. We mostly speak about hoagies, getting drunk, hangovers, 1950’s housewife anatomy and which NSFW subreddit we visit once a week to gasp at. We have a normal, movie-based episode dropping Wednesday so we’ll see you then. We really appreciate everyone listening and all of the messages have been super cool.

Trap is a 2024 American psychological thriller film written, directed, and produced by M. Night Shyamalan. It’s named after what it feels like to sit down and watch this movie. And then when you’re 45 minutes in, you hit pause to see how much more you have to endure and to your horror, there’s an hour left. This movie could’ve ended at the hour mark and it wouldn’t have changed the plot whatsoever. Truly one of those flicks that makes you feel robbed of precious moments on this Earth. Having said that, if you want to see Kid Cudi dressed like Ashley Schaeffer this is the film for you. Anywho, skip the first 5 mins or so if you don’t want to hear about how I earned my new nickname, Mr. Piss. If you don’t want to hear Lauren correct me time and time again for being a poorly educated, ignorant man with small world views, you’ll need to skip the remaining 25 minutes

Well guys, first thing I am going to do is apologize if the audio sounds a little weird. I spent most of the weekend trying to fix where it sounds a little “skippy” and I think this is as good as it’s going to get. Who would’ve guessed that a podcast run by stoners would have a few audio hiccups on the first remotely recorded episode? Special thanks to @brian_ruppert from @tesdtown and @reviewinghistorypod for joining us. We had a great time discussing the first spiderman movie for about 5 minutes. The remaining hour and change was spent discussing well endowed actors, well endowed actors on paddleboards, the jets, 9/11, and Tobey Maguire being a sociopath. Please also ignore the fact that I spend quite a bit of this episode talking about Colin Farrell being naked on a paddle board and in looking for photos to post, I discovered it was actually Orlando Bloom.

edible underwear, 24 hour walmarts, the north hanover chinese buffet, subway, and paper towel fortresses. damn, these glasses of Christmas ale got me feeling scrumptious. if i went to the chinese buffet right now, they would speak my name in whispers for centuries to come.

This is my favorite episode we've done and there isn't even a movie of the week. also, obviously, don't drive drunk unless the world ends and there's some sort of i am legend type situation. at that point you should be drunk any time you put the keys in that car.

MaXXXine was pretty good, visually you could not ask for a better movie. The color tones and all look incredible. We both enjoyed it with our Saturday morning wake and bake. Only gripe is that for a movie about the adult entertainment industry, there is a criminally low amount of lady bits. Even Lauren was begging for some tiddies by the end. I had to show her mine.

not gonna lie, this one is low energy as hell. we've discovered tonight that sunday nights just aren't made for podcasting when you gotta go back to work on monday. excited to drop a better one next week for you guys and yep, the word on the street is true. starting in november, a second episode will drop weekly on wednesdays at 4:20 PM. My thoughts: I don't know exactly what I want to see while I can barely open my eyes but I know it isn't hooks going into a man's flesh. 4/10
