The Wandering DP Podcast: Episode #498 - Life Off Set w/Oliver Millar & Jon Bregel
This week on the podcast Jon Bregel is back to host another conversation in the “Life Off Set” series.
This time he sat down with cinematographer Oliver Millar as they discussed a wdie range of topics that, for the most part, are often ignored in the regular programming of this podcast.
These episodes are less technical, less trying glean some useful lighting or camera information and more hearing what it is like to actually have a career in filmmaking. What is it like to be away half the year, how do you balance that with relationships, with health, with your own state of mind.
I am a huge fan of Oliver’s work and he is tremendously talented as a cinematographer so it was nice to hear him speak on the sacrifices (or lack there of) at his level.
It is one thing to have a busy schedule and a completely different beast to have a successful career.
Be sure to check out more about Jon and his work with filmmakers below. It seems like a no brainer for the person in the right situation looking to breakthrough in some area of their career.
Enjoy!

Jon has been on the podcast twice previously and now he is taking the reins to shed some light on a side of the filmmaking industry that is very rarely explored.
His unique background and experience at the highest level makes him the perfect sounding board for filmmakers trying to come to terms with the ins and outs of the job.
