Facing Breast Cancer: What Four Women's Experiences Can Teach Us About Awareness, Support and Self-Care21 oct. 202601:49:11

What happens when a conversation you recorded to help other women becomes exactly what you need to hear yourself?

Four years after bringing together four women to discuss breast cancer, I've returned to their words following my own diagnosis of triple-negative breast cancer.

In this special episode, I share what happened when I discovered a lump and why I'm approaching treatment as my Radical Wellbeing Retreat. We also revisit the experiences of Sapna Pieroux, Judit Csapo and Catherine Schopfer, alongside the medical perspective of Dr Cecilia Serban.

Together, we explore why breast awareness goes beyond looking for lumps; how a diagnosis affects our sense of identity and our families; the value of asking questions about care; and what supportive, thoughtful help can look like.

If breast cancer has touched your life, or you simply want to feel more informed about your breast health, I hope this conversation gives you something useful to take away.

How to Create Content that Attracts Better Clients (not just more views)14 oct. 202601:00:00

You're sharing your expertise, creating content and perhaps even experimenting with video. But is any of it actually helping you attract the right clients?

It's easy to become distracted by views, followers and the pressure to keep posting. Yet the real opportunity is to create content that helps future clients understand your value, trust your approach and recognise when you're the right expert for them.

That's why I've invited Martin Huntbach, co-founder of Vidonary, to join me on The Art of Value Whispering Podcast.

Martin and his wife, Lindsay, have spent years using content to attract better-fit clients and support business growth. In this conversation, we explore what they've learnt and how you can apply those lessons without turning content creation into another overwhelming marketing task.

We explore:

  • Why some of your most valuable content might actually discourage the wrong clients from working with you.

  • How to measure content success beyond views and followers.

  • Martin's Three Rs for creating video consistently: Reps, Rhythm and Repurposing.

  • How video can build trust and support the whole client journey.

  • Why experienced experts sometimes struggle to communicate what they know.

  • How to make video more conversational, engaging and human.

Through a Value Whispering perspective, we also explore why becoming the obvious choice isn't about reaching everyone. It's about helping the right people recognise and understand your value.

If you've been wondering how to create content that contributes to your business rather than simply filling your social media feed, this conversation is for you.

How to Get Your Niching Right - Answering Listeners Questions07 oct. 202600:49:02

How do you know if you've found the right niche?

And what happens when your best clients have very little in common on paper, people outside your niche keep asking to work with you, or your business genuinely includes several different ways of helping people?

In this special listener panel episode of The Art of Value Whispering Podcast, I'm joined by business owners with real questions about what niching looks like once you move beyond the theory.

Together, we explore why you don't need absolute certainty before choosing a niche, why demographics aren't always the most meaningful connection between your Dream Clients, how to decide whether an opportunity outside your niche is worth pursuing, and why a diversified portfolio doesn't necessarily mean you don't have a niche.

You'll discover:
• The difference between clarity and certainty when choosing your niche
• What to niche around when your best clients look completely different on paper
• Why relevance matters more than simply becoming narrower
• What to do when opportunities keep appearing outside your stated niche
• Whether it's possible to have more than one niche
• How to find the common thread in a diversified portfolio
• Why your niche should evolve as you learn more about yourself, your clients and your best work

Because your niche isn't a box that dictates what you're allowed to do.

It's a way of becoming clearer about where you can create real value – so the right people can recognise why you're the right choice for them.

Struggling to Find Your Niche? You May Be Starting in the Wrong Place30 sept. 202600:28:00

Struggling to find your niche – or worried that choosing one will box you in, limit your opportunities or mean turning away perfectly good clients?

You may be starting in the wrong place.

Most traditional advice about niching starts with who: Who is your ideal client? What industry are they in? How old are they? Where do they live?

Those things can be useful to know. But they don't answer a much more important question:

Why should those people choose you?

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering Podcast, I'm sharing a different way to think about finding your niche – one that starts with understanding you.

We'll explore how your expertise, experience, strengths, values, beliefs and approach align with what particular clients really need and value – and how finding that point of alignment can make your significance much clearer.

I also share the story of one of my earliest Value Whispering clients, Kate, and how understanding what really made her approach to teaching different helped her attract more of the right clients, recognise the wrong ones and transform her business.

In this episode, you'll discover:

  • Why starting with demographics can make finding your niche harder

  • The question that's missing from many traditional niching exercises

  • Why your niche doesn't necessarily need to be based on an industry or demographic

  • How your Value Sweet Spot can help you recognise where you do your best work

  • Why understanding who isn't your Dream Client can be just as valuable as knowing who is

  • What happened when Kate became clearer about why the right parents chose her

  • Why becoming more specific can sometimes attract opportunities from outside your niche

  • How understanding your Dream Clients can make your marketing feel more natural

  • Why you don't need to find the "perfect" niche before moving forward

Because niching isn't about making yourself smaller.

It's about making your significance clearer.

How to Build a Personal Brand Without Becoming Louder23 sept. 202600:57:47

How do you build a personal brand that helps people remember, trust and recommend you - without feeling as though you're constantly promoting yourself?

In this episode, I talk with personal brand strategist Bob Gentle about a more human approach to becoming known for your expertise.

Bob's philosophy is simple: "I'm there to serve, not to convert."

Together, we explore what happens when you stop treating every piece of content as an opportunity to sell and instead use your ideas, relationships and personality to give people reasons to know and trust you.

You'll discover:

• How to build a personal brand without creating an online persona
• How much of your expertise you should give away for free
• Why "people don't pay for information, they pay for implementation"
• How content can help people remember you when an opportunity or referral arises
• Why your existing professional network may be more valuable than constantly looking for new people
• How being more genuinely yourself can make you easier to trust and refer

I also explore the conversation through the Value Whispering® principle of Recognition Before Reach: before focusing all your energy on finding more people, make sure the right people already understand and remember your value.

If you want to become better known for what you do without making self-promotion a full-time job, this conversation offers a refreshingly different place to start.

Why the Best Expert Doesn't Always Win the Client ... and the simple fix that changes everything. #31816 sept. 202600:24:08

What if the reason people aren't choosing you isn't because you need more expertise, but because the expertise you already have has become harder to explain?

There's a strange paradox that can happen as you become more experienced. You see more nuance, more possibilities and more of the factors that influence whether something will work. Your answer is increasingly, "It depends."

Meanwhile, someone offering a much simpler solution, with less experience and expertise than you, may be easier for a potential client to understand – and therefore easier to choose.

The answer isn't to dumb down your expertise.

It's to make its value easier for the right people to recognise.

In this solo episode of The Art of Value Whispering podcast, I explore:

  • why deeper expertise can sometimes make your value harder to communicate;
  • why a simple solution can fit a client's current understanding of their problem better than a more sophisticated one;
  • the valuable abilities your experience may have made almost invisible to you;
  • why years of experience, qualifications and credentials don't speak for themselves; and
  • a simple "which means…" exercise to translate what you know into a difference your right client can understand and value.

Because your clients don't need to understand everything you know. They need to understand what everything you know makes possible for them.

Listen next: Episode 315 — Why Brilliant Experts Struggle to Attract Clients (and Why It's Probably Not for the Reason You Think), where I explore the Value Recognition Problem and why what looks like a marketing problem can sometimes begin much earlier.

How to Price Your Expertise for Profit and Value09 sept. 202600:58:35

If your business isn't as profitable as you'd like, you might assume you need more clients.

But what if attracting more clients could actually make the problem worse?

For many coaches, consultants and service-based experts, the real issue isn't how many clients they're attracting. It's that their expertise has been priced around hours, sessions and what feels comfortable to charge – rather than the value of the outcome they create.

My guest today is my good friend Robin Waite, business coach and author of Fearless Pricing. Together, we explore what needs to change when you stop selling your time and start thinking more deeply about value, profitability and the business you actually want to build.

Why This Conversation Matters

Pricing and Value Whispering are more closely connected than they might first appear.

You can tell yourself to raise your prices, but if you're unclear about the value behind them, standing confidently behind that new number can be difficult.

And simply doubling your prices doesn't automatically make your offer more valuable.

Robin's approach takes the conversation further – connecting your price to the outcome you create, the way you package your expertise, the clients you choose to work with and the experience you're able to give them.

Because your price is part of how you communicate your value – but it can only do that effectively when the value behind it is clear, credible and consistently experienced.

In this episode, you'll discover:

• Why more clients can make an unprofitable business even harder to run

• Why selling packs of hours isn't the same as packaging your expertise around an outcome

• A simple calculation to test whether your current pricing can support the business you want

• Why discounting may cost considerably more than the percentage you take off your price

• What "you're too expensive" might really be telling you

• Why silence can be one of the most useful things you bring to a sales conversation

• How Robin's 30/30/30 approach can help you test a new price without allowing one rejection to determine your strategy

This episode is for you if:

• You suspect you're undercharging but feel uncomfortable increasing your prices

• You're busy with clients but your business still isn't as profitable as you'd like

• You price your services by the hour, day or session and aren't sure how to move beyond that

• You find yourself discounting or over-explaining when a potential client questions your price

If this conversation gives you a new perspective on the value of your expertise, follow The Art of Value Whispering for more ideas to help you become the obvious choice through smarter – not louder – marketing.

The Missing Piece in Your Marketing: What Is Value Whispering?02 sept. 202600:30:58

If you're good at what you do, but marketing your business still feels harder than it should, it's easy to assume you need a better strategy, more visibility or simply more time.

But what if the piece that's missing comes before all of that?

In this special episode, I'm taking you back to the beginning of Value Whispering® by reading the first chapter of my bestselling book: Value Whispering: The Smarter Way to Market Your Small Business.

You'll hear the story that first helped me recognise what so many brilliant business owners are missing, why communicating your offer isn't enough if people don't understand its value, and how Value Whispering grew into a different way to think about marketing, sales and business growth.

In this episode, you'll hear:

  • why doing more marketing isn't always the answer when attracting clients feels hard

  • the conversation that led me to uncover the missing piece in so many small businesses

  • what Value Whispering actually means

  • the three pillars of the Value Whispering Blueprint: True Value, Value Weaving and Self-Leadership

  • why great marketing begins with understanding your clients and the value you create for them

  • how to become the obvious choice without becoming louder, pushier or someone you're not

  • why your best marketing strategy is one that works with your strengths, values and ambitions

Think of this episode as your starting point for the new season of The Art of Value Whispering and the ideas we'll be exploring together in the weeks ahead.

🎙️ Why Brilliant Experts Struggle to Attract Clients (and Why It's Probably Not for the Reason You Think)

with Melitta Campbell | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (Episode 315)

What if the reason you're struggling to attract more clients isn't your marketing at all?

Many brilliant experts assume they need a better strategy, more visibility or another marketing tactic. But after working with hundreds of business owners, I've found that the real challenge often starts much earlier.

It's not a marketing problem.

It's a Value Recognition Problem.

In this episode, I introduce the Five Value Gaps that quietly stop people recognising your value and explain why attracting the right clients starts long before your marketing strategy.

This episode explores one of the core principles of Value Whispering: when people don't fully understand the value of your work, no amount of marketing can consistently solve the problem. Greater clarity—not louder marketing—is what creates lasting business growth.

In this episode, you'll discover:
  • Why many business owners don't actually have a marketing problem.
  • What a Value Recognition Problem really is.
  • Why more visibility won't automatically attract better clients.
  • The Five Value Gaps that could be limiting your business growth.
  • Why recognising your own value helps others recognise it too.
  • The one question that could completely change where you focus your marketing next.
This episode is for you if...
  • You're attracting fewer clients than your expertise deserves.
  • Your marketing feels like hard work with inconsistent results.
  • You're wondering why people don't seem to recognise the value you bring.
  • You're ready to stop chasing more visibility and start building greater clarity.

If this episode changes the way you think about marketing, follow The Art of Value Whispering Podcast and share it with another expert who needs to hear it.

The Storytelling Mistake That's Costing You Clients, with guest Sophie Jane Lee22 juil. 202600:54:12

🎙️The Storytelling Mistake That's Costing You Clients

with Sophie Jane Lee | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (Episode 314)

Your story doesn't need to be more polished.

It needs to feel more true.

Many experts struggle with storytelling because they're searching for the perfect words. But the real challenge often starts much earlier: we've become so used to editing ourselves that we've forgotten how to trust our own voice.

In this episode, storytelling strategist, founder of Electric Peach and author of Beyond Palatable, Sophie Jane Lee explores why the stories we tell ourselves shape the stories we're willing to share—and how greater self-trust leads to more authentic communication, stronger relationships and deeper impact.

The Value Whispering Connection

One of the core principles of Value Whispering is that people connect with clarity, not performance. Sophie reminds us that the most compelling stories aren't carefully crafted to impress—they're grounded in genuine experiences that help others see the value of who you are and the work you do.

In this episode, you'll discover:
  • Why the biggest barrier to storytelling isn't finding the right words—it's trusting yourself.
  • Why resonance creates a stronger connection than simply being more visible.
  • How to tell your story without making yourself the hero.
  • The difference between self-expression and self-trust.
  • Why responsible vulnerability builds trust without oversharing.
  • How listening makes you a better storyteller and communicator.
  • Why community plays such an important role in building confidence.
This episode is for you if...
  • You struggle to talk about yourself or your work.
  • You wonder whether your story is interesting enough.
  • You're unsure how much of yourself to share in your marketing.
  • You want your communication to feel more natural, authentic and memorable.

If this conversation resonates with you, follow The Art of Value Whispering Podcast and share it with another expert who's ready to communicate their value with greater confidence.

The Real Reason You Keep Second-Guessing Yourself, with guest Ruth Andermatt15 juil. 202600:50:21

🎙️  The Real Reason You Keep Second-Guessing Yourself
with Ruth Andermatt | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (Episode 313)

Have you ever felt as though you need to be more confident, more outspoken or more visible to succeed?

It's an easy belief to fall into, especially when we're surrounded by examples of leadership that seem louder, faster and more assertive than feels natural.

But what if authentic leadership isn't about becoming someone else?

What if it's about trusting yourself enough to lead in a way that feels true to who you are?

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering Podcast, I'm joined by leadership coach Ruth Andermatt to explore why self-leadership is the foundation of authentic leadership.

Drawing on her experience as the only female director leading a team of 70 men in corporate Canada, Ruth shares the lessons she's learnt about trusting your intuition, leading with integrity and helping others succeed without compromising who you are.

Together, we explore why so many women feel they need to perform rather than lead, how to reconnect with your own strengths, and why coming home to yourself can transform not only the way you lead, but the way you build your business too.

This isn't a conversation about becoming louder.

It's about becoming more intentional.

Leading with quiet confidence.

And recognising that the qualities you've been overlooking may be the very ones your team, your clients and your business need most.

Conversations that Sell (without being Salesy)08 juil. 202600:50:32

🎙️ Conversations That Sell (Without Being Salesy)
with Cori Josias | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (Episode 312)

What if the best sales conversations don't feel like selling at all?

Many business owners assume they need more confidence, better scripts or stronger persuasion techniques to win more clients. But what if the real goal of a sales conversation isn't to convince someone to buy—it's to help them find clarity?

In this episode, business coach Cori Josias shares how she's built a thriving coaching business through genuine one-to-one conversations rather than endless social media content or complicated marketing funnels. Together, we explore why commitment matters more than confidence, how deep listening builds trust, and why meaningful conversations consistently outperform transactional selling.

Why This Matters

One of the core principles of Value Whispering is that people don't need to be persuaded—they need to understand the value of solving their problem and why you're the right person to help. Cori's approach beautifully demonstrates how curiosity, clarity and genuine conversations create far stronger client relationships than pressure or persuasion ever could.

In this episode, you'll discover:
  • Why commitment creates confidence—not the other way around.
  • How deep listening becomes one of your greatest marketing advantages.
  • What makes a sales conversation feel supportive instead of salesy.
  • Why clarity is far more powerful than persuasion.
  • How "gifted coaching" helps people experience your value before they buy.
  • Why meaningful conversations consistently outperform transactional selling.
  • How to build a marketing strategy that fits your personality, values and strengths.
This episode is for you if...
  • Sales conversations make you uncomfortable.
  • You're tired of feeling like you need to post constantly just to stay visible.
  • You want to attract clients through trust rather than pressure.
  • You're looking for a more natural, relationship-led way to grow your business.

If this episode changes the way you think about selling, follow The Art of Value Whispering Podcast and share it with another expert who's ready to make sales feel more natural.

with Karen Salmansohn | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (Episode 311)

In a world of polished personal brands, AI-generated content and increasingly similar marketing, your greatest competitive advantage isn't creating better content.

It's becoming more recognisably you.

In this episode, bestselling author and behavioural change expert Karen Salmansohn shares why your personality, values and lived experiences are the very things that help people trust you, remember you and choose to work with you. Together, we explore why confidence grows through action, how your identity shapes your business, and why trying to sound like everyone else is often the fastest way to become invisible.

The Value Whispering Perspective

One of the core principles of Value Whispering is that your greatest value rarely comes from what you know alone. It comes from the unique combination of your expertise, experiences and perspective. Karen's idea of becoming your "You-iest You" beautifully reinforces why the experts who stand out aren't those with the loudest marketing—they're the ones whose difference shines through everything they do.

In this episode, you'll discover:
  • Why authenticity has become your greatest advantage in an AI-driven world.
  • How becoming more of yourself helps you build trust and attract the right clients.
  • Why confidence grows through action—not before it.
  • Karen's "Why the hell not?" mindset for making courageous decisions.
  • How your personal stories make your marketing more memorable.
  • Why your identity shapes your habits, confidence and visibility.
  • How to stop blending in and communicate your value more naturally.
  • Why your marketing should feel like an extension of who you are—not a performance.
This episode is for you if...
  • You feel like your marketing sounds just like everyone else's.
  • You're worried that AI is making it harder to stand out.
  • You want to build trust without pretending to be someone you're not.
  • You're ready to let your personality become one of your greatest business strengths.

If this conversation inspires you to embrace what makes you different, follow The Art of Value Whispering Podcast for more practical ideas to help you become the obvious choice through smarter—not louder—marketing.

How to Get Featured in the Media (even if nobody knows who you are) with guest, Jo Swann24 juin 202600:57:19

🎙️How to Get Featured in the Media (even if nobody knows who you are)

with Jo Swann | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 310)

You don't need to be famous before you deserve to be featured.

Yet so many brilliant experts spend years waiting until they feel more experienced, more confident or more "ready" before putting themselves forward. While they wait, the people who need their help never get the chance to find them.

In this episode, I'm joined by PR expert, founder of Chocolate PR and author Jo Swann to explore how to become more visible without becoming louder. Together, we discuss why journalists are looking for expertise rather than celebrity, how to approach PR in a way that feels authentic and aligned, and why visibility is about making it easier for the right people to find and trust you.

Why This Conversation Matters

One of the core principles of Value Whispering is that people can't recognise the value you bring if they never discover you in the first place. Visibility isn't about chasing attention or becoming the loudest voice in the room. It's about helping the right people understand your expertise and making it easier for them to choose you. Jo's thoughtful approach to PR beautifully reinforces this idea.

In this episode, you'll discover:
  • Why so many experienced experts underestimate how newsworthy they already are.
  • The surprising reason your story matters more than your credentials.
  • How to become visible without feeling pushy or self-promotional.
  • Why confidence often follows action, rather than coming before it.
  • What journalists are really looking for when they feature experts.
  • Why local media can be the perfect place to start building visibility.
  • The mindset shift that makes self-promotion feel authentic instead of uncomfortable.
  • Why waiting until you feel "ready" may be costing you opportunities.
This episode is for you if...
  • You know your expertise deserves a wider audience, but you're unsure how to raise your profile naturally.
  • You've been putting off PR because you don't feel experienced or well known enough.
  • You'd love to become more visible without relying on louder, more aggressive marketing.
  • You're ready to stop waiting for permission and start sharing your expertise with confidence.

If this conversation inspires you to step out from behind the scenes, follow The Art of Value Whispering Podcast for more practical ideas to help you become the obvious choice through smarter—not louder—marketing.

What if you're not as far off track as you think?17 juin 202600:27:54

If business feels harder than it should right now, it's easy to assume you need another strategy, another qualification or another plan.

But after 18 years in business, I've realised that some of the biggest breakthroughs come not from learning something new—but from recognising the value of what you already know.

In this solo episode, I share one of the most important lessons I've learned from nearly two decades in business: why trusting your instincts, recognising your own value and giving yourself permission to do less—but better—can transform the way you grow your business.

The Value Whispering Principle

One of the core principles of Value Whispering is that clarity comes before confidence. We often believe we need more knowledge, more qualifications or a better strategy before we can move forward. But more often than not, what holds us back isn't a lack of expertise—it's a lack of trust in the value we already have. When you recognise that value, better decisions become much easier to make.

In this episode, you'll discover:
  • Why self-doubt often disguises itself as productivity.
  • The hidden reason many experts keep searching for the next strategy, course or certification.
  • Why some of your biggest breakthroughs may come from doing less, not more.
  • How to recognise when you've drifted away from what feels aligned.
  • The role perspective plays in navigating uncertainty and overwhelm.
  • What I've learned from working with hundreds of successful business owners.
  • Why trusting your instincts is often the smartest business decision you can make.
  • How focusing on one priority creates more momentum than trying to do everything at once.
This episode is for you if...
  • You're questioning your next step in business.
  • You feel like everyone else has figured something out that you haven't.
  • You're overwhelmed by advice, strategies and conflicting opinions.
  • You're ready to stop second-guessing yourself and trust your own judgement more.

If this episode gives you the permission you've been waiting for, follow The Art of Value Whispering Podcast for more practical ideas to help you become the obvious choice through smarter—not louder—marketing.

Stop Using Productivity Advice That Was Never Designed for You, with guest Louise Miller03 juin 202600:44:45

🎙️ Stop Using Productivity Advice That Was Never Designed for You
with Louise Miller | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 308)

If you're constantly busy but still feel like you're not making the progress you hoped for, the answer probably isn't working harder.

It might be that you've been following productivity advice that was never designed for the way you work.

In this episode, productivity mentor Louise Miller shares a refreshingly different approach to getting meaningful work done. Together, we explore how to stop chasing an impossible to-do list, work with your natural energy instead of against it, and build a business that supports your life rather than consumes it.

Why This Conversation Matters

One of the core principles of Value Whispering is that sustainable growth doesn't come from doing more. It comes from focusing your time, energy and attention where they create the greatest value. Louise's thoughtful approach to productivity reminds us that success isn't about fitting more into your day—it's about creating the clarity to focus on what matters most.

In this episode, you'll discover:
  • Why "getting everything done" is a goal you'll never achieve—and why that's actually good news.
  • How to decide what truly deserves your attention when everything feels important.
  • Why the most productive thing you can do isn't always taking action.
  • How to work with your natural rhythm instead of constantly fighting it.
  • The three hidden reasons entrepreneurs get stuck, even when they're working incredibly hard.
  • How creating more space often leads to better decisions and greater momentum.
This episode is for you if...
  • Your to-do list never seems to get any shorter.
  • You're busy all day but still feel like you're falling behind.
  • You're looking for a calmer, more sustainable way to grow your business.
  • You want your business to support your life—not consume it.

If this episode helps you rethink productivity, follow The Art of Value Whispering Podcast for more practical ideas to help you become the obvious choice through smarter—not louder—marketing.

The ADHD Advantage: Why Different Brains Need Different Business Strategies, with guest Roxana Tascu20 mai 202600:47:09
🎙️ The ADHD Advantage: Why Different Brains Need Different Business Strategies

with Roxana Tascu | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 307)

If you've ever wondered why traditional productivity advice never seems to work for you, you're not alone.

Many entrepreneurs with ADHD feel frustrated by the contradictions they experience every day. They can achieve incredible things when something excites them, yet struggle to start simple tasks. They thrive under pressure, yet feel overwhelmed trying to stay consistent.

In this episode, ADHD coach and business psychologist Roxana Tascu explains why those contradictions make perfect sense—and how understanding the way your brain works can transform the way you run your business.

Why This Conversation Matters

One of the core principles of Value Whispering is that the best strategy is the one you can consistently and confidently implement. There's no universal formula for success—only the one that works for you. Roxana's insights are a powerful reminder that understanding how your brain works isn't a limitation; it's the foundation for building a business that plays to your strengths.

In this episode, you'll discover:
  • Why ADHD often shows up through contradictions rather than obvious signs.
  • Why urgency creates results—but often leads to burnout afterwards.
  • The difference between managing your time and managing your energy.
  • How to build marketing strategies and business systems that work with your strengths.
  • Why self-awareness is one of the most powerful business tools you can develop.
  • How understanding your brain helps you stop fighting yourself and start building a more sustainable business.
This episode is for you if...
  • You have ADHD and want to build a business that works with your brain, not against it.
  • Traditional productivity advice has never quite worked for you.
  • You often feel frustrated by your inconsistency, despite knowing you're capable of more.
  • You're ready to stop trying to fit someone else's formula and discover what works for you.

If this episode helps you see your strengths in a new light, follow The Art of Value Whispering Podcast for more practical ideas to help you become the obvious choice through smarter—not louder—marketing.

The Heroine's Journey: The Secret Framework to Attract Your Ideal Clients06 mai 202600:17:21

🎙️ The Heroine's Journey: The Secret Framework to Attract Your Ideal Clients,  with Melitta Campbell | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 306)

There's a subtle shift in how we understand growth… and once you see it, it changes how everything feels.

Most of us are familiar with the hero's journey.

The challenge appears, the hero steps forward, gathers tools, proves themselves, and returns victorious.

But for many of your clients… that's not the journey they're on.

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering Podcast, I explore the difference between the hero's journey and the heroine's journey, and why this distinction matters so much for your marketing.

Because this isn't about solving something out there.

It's about recognising what's already within.

If your marketing has ever felt slightly off… or like you're trying to follow something that doesn't quite fit… this episode will help you understand why, and what to do instead.

💡 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

★ The difference between the hero's journey and the heroine's journey

★ Why the heroine's journey may be more relevant to your clients than the traditional hero's journey

★ Why your clients aren't always looking for a solution, but for a guide who understands where they are and how that feels

★ How to stop positioning yourself as the hero/heroine of your client's story

★ Why resonance begins when someone feels deeply seen

★ How your own journey can help you communicate your value more clearly

🎙️ Why there is No One 'Right'  Marketing Strategy (...and how believing there is might be holding you back) with Melitta Campbell | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 305)

There's a belief many business owners hold onto… often without even realising it.

That somewhere out there, there's a "right" marketing strategy.

One clear path. One set of steps. One answer that will finally make everything click.

But what if that search is the very thing making your marketing feel harder than it should?

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering Podcast, I explore why chasing the "perfect" strategy can lead to overwhelm, self-doubt, and a marketing approach that doesn't feel like you.

Because this isn't about doing more.

It's about finding what actually fits.

If your marketing has ever felt scattered, forced, or like you're trying to follow a path that doesn't quite land… this episode will help you see what's really going on, and what to do instead.

★ Why there is no "one" marketing strategy – and why believing there is can hold you back
★ What's really happening when your marketing starts to feel messy or disconnected

Why Your Website isn't Turning Visitors into Clients, with guest Whitney Bateson08 avr. 202600:56:12
🎙️ Why Your Website isn't Turning Visitors into Clients

with Whitney Bateson| The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 304)

There's a lot of pressure to be visible online.

To post more. Share more. Show up more.

But visibility on its own isn't what builds a business.

Trust does.

And often, that trust is built in a much quieter place than people realise.

Your website.

Many business owners have one.

But far fewer have one that truly reflects their value, supports their message, and helps the right people feel confident enough to take the next step.

Because a website isn't just something people glance at.

It's where they go to decide.

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering Podcast, I'm joined by website strategist & marketing educator for health, wellbeing and coaching professionals, Whitney Bateson, to explore what really makes an online presence effective, not from a design perspective, but from a clarity, connection, and trust perspective.

Whitney shares her journey from nutrition into marketing and website strategy, and why helping service-led professionals communicate their value clearly has become such a central part of her work.

This is not about creating something more polished or more complicated.

It's about creating something more intentional.

A website that reflects who you are.
Supports how you work.
And helps your message land in a way that feels natural and true.

Join me in this episode as Whitney and I explore how a well-structured, thoughtful website can quietly become one of the most powerful parts of your business.

💡 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

★ Why your website is not just a brochure, but a key part of your sales and relationship-building process

★ How trust is built through clarity, empathy, and ease (not clever wording or complex design)

★ What actually makes you stand out when everyone seems to offer something similar

★ Why making it easy for people to take the next step is more powerful than trying to impress

★ How your website content is now working behind the scenes in AI tools like ChatGPT

★ The simple shifts that can turn your website into a consistent source of warm, aligned enquiries

🎙️How to Be a Guest  on More Podcasts  (and why it's important  that you are)

with MelittaCampbell| The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 303)

There's a powerful opportunity sitting right in front of us… and many women still aren't taking it.

Podcast guesting is one of the most effective ways to share your message, build trust, and grow your visibility, yet women are still underrepresented on podcasts.

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering Podcast, I explore why that gap exists, and what might be quietly holding you back from putting yourself forward.

Because this isn't about a lack of ambition.

It's about how we see ourselves, how we communicate our value, and whether we're willing to be visible before we feel fully ready.

If you've ever thought about being a guest on a podcast but hesitated, this episode will help you see what's really going on, and what you can do about it.

💡 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

★ Why podcast guesting is such a powerful (and often overlooked) visibility tool
★ The surprising disconnect between how ambition is perceived and how it's expressed
★ What may be stopping you from pitching yourself , beyond just "not knowing how"
★ Why waiting until you feel ready is keeping you stuck (and what to do instead)

Taking Courageous Action to Grow Your Business and Impact11 mars 202600:57:36

🎙️Taking Courageous Action: What it Really takes

with Helen von Dadelszen | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 302)

Courage is often presented as something bold and decisive.

Big moves. Confident choices. A visible moment where you finally step forward.

But in business, courage rarely looks like that.

More often, it shows up quietly. In the decision to speak when it would be easier to stay silent. To take a small step before you feel ready. To act without certainty, but with intention.

That quieter version of courage is what this conversation explores.

Today, guest host Helen von Dadelszen is back and we are diving into her book, "Courageous Action" to explore what it really means to act bravely in business when confidence hasn't arrived yet.

If you had asked Helen ten years ago whether she would one day run her own business or write a book, the answer would have been no.

Not because she lacked ability.
But because it simply wasn't part of the plan.

That's where this conversation really begins. Not with confidence, or bold decisions, but with something more recognisable: the slow realisation that you're capable of more than you originally imagined.

Join me in this episode as Helen and I explore how courageous action is built quietly, through small steps taken before confidence arrives.

💡 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

★ Why confidence isn't something you wait for, it's something you build through action

★ The confidence–competence loop and how it helps you grow your confidence step by step

★ A simple way to expand your comfort zone without overwhelming yourself

★ Why setting an intention before conversations can dramatically improve how you show up

★ A practical exercise to improve your communication skills on your own

🎙️How to Recognise When Your Business is Ready to Evolve

with MelittaCampbell| The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 301)

There comes a point in business where growth is no longer about doing more. But taking a pause to see what still feels aligned and valuable.

A pause to reflect on who you are now, what your clients need next and what no longer fits.

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering Podcast, I'm sharing something that doesn't get discussed enough in business: evolution.

Because if you stay in business long enough, you will change. And your business needs to change with you.

If you've been sensing a shift in yourself or your work but haven't quite named it yet, this episode will help you reflect on what that shift might be inviting you to do next.

💡 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

★ Why business evolution is not optional if you want long-term alignment and fulfilment

★ How to recognise when your clients have outgrown your current offer and what to do next

★ The questions to ask yourself when your ambitions, energy or season of life changes

★ Why making space for growth often requires letting go of something that once worked

★ How intentional reflection helps you design your next chapter rather than drift into it

How to Grow Your Business by Giving People More of What They Want18 févr. 202600:46:32

🎙️ How to Grow Your Business by Giving People More of What They Want

with Andrew & Pete | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 300)

What if growing your business wasn't about doing more marketing, but getting better at noticing what people already want from you?

Andrew & Pete have built a thriving business, a loyal global community and one of Europe's biggest marketing conferences, Atomicon, not by following a perfect plan, but by experimenting, listening closely to what people responded to and having the courage to act on what they discovered.

In this episode, we unpack some of the decisions that changed the trajectory of their business: why a great offer matters more than clever marketing, how their famous "cheeky ask" opened unexpected doors, why they measure content by reaction rather than consistency, and how building a community rather than simply an audience created powerful momentum.

You'll also hear why asking before you feel ready can accelerate your business growth, how leading with value creates bigger opportunities, and why continuing to market when business is going well is essential if you want to escape the feast-or-famine cycle.

It's a wonderfully practical conversation about what sustainable business growth really looks like when you stop trying to follow the rules and start paying closer attention to what works — for your audience, your business and you.

💡 In this episode you'll learn:

  • Why your offer matters more than your marketing tactics
  • How to recognise what your audience genuinely wants
  • The "cheeky ask" that can open bigger doors
  • Why reaction is a better measure of content than consistency
  • How relationships and generosity create opportunities
  • Why community can become a powerful engine for business growth
  • How to avoid the stop-start marketing that creates feast or famine

They're putting themselves out there.

And yet, their results don't match the effort.

Today, guest host Helen von Dadelszen is back and we are diving into part Two of my new book: 'Value Whispering: The Smarter Way to Market Your Small Business', to explore what 'smarter marketing' actually is and how you can achieve it in your business to create marketing and sales that feel natural rather than forced.

We talk about client journeys, value weaving, quieter visibility, and why trying to do "all the things" is rarely the answer.

If marketing has ever felt overwhelming, awkward or ineffective, this conversation will help you see it differently.

The Crucial Marketing Step Most Business Owners Miss: Behind the Book Part 1/328 janv. 202600:50:39

🎙️The Crucial Marketing Step Most Business Owners Miss: Behind the Book Part 1/3

with guest host, Helen von Dadelszen | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 297)

We often think value comes from clarity, confidence, or having it all figured out. A clean path. A neat story. A sense that we arrived exactly where we intended to.

But in real life and real businesses, value is rarely built that way.

More often, it's shaped through detours, false starts, mistakes, and moments where nothing seemed to work the way it was supposed to. And yet, those are the very experiences many people dismiss when they talk about what they offer.

That quieter, less polished side of value is what this conversation explores.

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering Podcast, I'm joined by Helen von Dadelszen, communication coach, speaker, vocal trainer, and author of Courageous Action, and the very first client to ever go through the process that later became the Value Whispering Blueprint.

his time, the tables are turned, and Helen interviews me about the thinking behind the work, the book, and what value really is.

What makes this conversation special is Helen's perspective. She hasn't just read the ideas. She's lived them. And her questions reflect what so many capable business owners are silently wondering as they try to articulate their value.

If you've ever thought, "I don't feel qualified to teach this because it wasn't easy for me," you'll recognise yourself here.

Join us in this episode as Helen and I explore how your value is often hidden in the very parts of your journey you're most tempted to downplay.

💡 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

⭐ Why your struggle and past failures are often the source of your greatest value

⭐ Why value is so hard to see when you're too close to your own journey

⭐ How confidence is built through clarity and alignment, not before them

⭐ Why introverts often minimise their value and wait too long to speak about it

⭐ And how recognising and owning your true value makes marketing and sales feel calmer and more natural

Embracing the Four Fears of Business Ownership21 janv. 202600:57:36

🎙️Embracing the Four Fears of Business Ownership

with Mark Franklin | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 296)

Fear has a quiet way of showing up in business.

Not as panic or drama, but as hesitation, as waiting until things feel clearer, as telling yourself you need more time, more confidence, or more certainty before you take the next step.

For many thoughtful, values-led business owners, fear doesn't feel emotional at all. It feels practical. Sensible. Even responsible.

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering Podcast, I'm joined by Mark Franklin, a business coach, speaker and author to explore why fear is so common for business owners who care deeply about doing things well, and how it often appears right at the point where growth is beginning.

Mark is known for his work on the Four Fears of Business Ownership, and in our conversation, he helps gently unpack the fears that tend to shape our behaviour without us realising.

  • Not fear of danger, but fear of not being ready.

  • Fear of not being good enough.

  • Fear of not having enough time.

  • Fear of getting it wrong.

What makes these fears particularly powerful is that they rarely announce themselves as fear. They show up as believable stories that sound like facts.

"I just need to learn a bit more first."
"Now isn't the right moment."
"Other people are better at this."

Over time, these narratives can quietly keep us playing smaller than we intend, even when our desire to grow is strong.

Join me in this episode to uncover why fear isn't a stop sign, but a signal, and how recognising it can help you grow your business with more trust, clarity and ease.

💡 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

⭐ Why handwritten notes cut through digital and AI noise

⭐ Why fear often disguises itself as logic

⭐ The four fears that quietly drive perfectionism, procrastination, and self-doubt

⭐ How these fears show up for introverts in particular

⭐And how working with fear, instead of trying to get rid of it, can make business feel lighter and more aligned

In this final Planisode, you're invited to look at what happens after the plan is created.

Because meaningful growth rarely follows a smooth or predictable path. A good plan isn't something you set once and follow rigidly. It's something you return to, review, and expand as you continue to grow throughout the year.

This episode explores why not achieving your goals exactly as planned isn't a failure, but often a sign that you're stretching, learning, and evolving. When you're building a business that reflects your true value, things won't unfold in a straight line, and that's not something to fix. It's something to work with.

You'll be guided to reframe missed goals and unexpected detours as useful information rather than proof that something has gone wrong. By replacing self-judgement with curiosity, you create space to learn what's really needed for your next level of growth.

You'll learn:

  • Why not achieving every goal exactly as planned is often a sign of growth

  • How to replace self-judgement with curiosity and insight

  • What to ask yourself when it's time to adjust, expand, or let go of a goal

  • How to create a plan that continues to support who you're becoming

Choosing Your Guiding Word for 2026 - Planisode 614 janv. 202600:09:52

Welcome back to The Art of Value Whispering and to Planisode 6 — your daily planning companion designed to help you step into the new year with clarity, confidence and a grounded strategy that truly supports you.

By now, you've set meaningful goals, reflected on your lessons learned in 2025, created clear priorities and begun shaping your plans for your 2026 business growth.

So today, you are going bring all of that together by reflecting on everything you've planned out so far and let your one guiding word for the year emerge.

Choosing Your Word of the Year

In today's Planisode, you're invited to choose a single word to guide how you want to show up in your business over the year ahead.

Rather than picking a word at random or choosing something that sounds impressive, this episode helps you let a word emerge from the reflection you've already done in the Planisodes so far. A word that reflects how you want to work, lead, be visible, and feel as you grow.

You'll learn:

  • Why a single word can anchor your decisions and energy throughout the year
  • How to recognise when a word is truly aligned for you
  • Simple ways to keep your word visible so it supports you when things feel messy or uncertain

How to Prevent Overwhelm and Build Momentum - Planisode 513 janv. 202600:14:54

Welcome back to The Art of Value Whispering and to Planisode 6 — your daily planning companion designed to help you step into the new year with clarity, confidence and a grounded strategy that truly supports you.

By now, you've set meaningful goals, reflected on your lessons, created priorities and begun shaping your plans.
But even with the best intentions, there's one thing that can stop all progress in its tracks:

Overwhelm.

In today's Planisode, we look at why overwhelm shows up, how it derails us and — most importantly — the simple ways you can prevent it so you stay focused, calm and in motion.

You'll learn:

  • Why overwhelm is rarely about what's happening now, but what you fear might happen next.

  • The first thing to do the moment you feel yourself spiralling.

  • How to build daily habits that make decision-making easier and remove pressure.

  • A simple question that instantly reduces complexity in your business.

  • How progress (not perfection) becomes your greatest source of momentum.

  • Time management techniques that help you stay on track — even when the task feels big.

  • Why taking a break is often the smartest next step, not a sign of failure.

These are the same tools I use myself and share with my clients. They help you stay connected to what matters most and move toward your goals in a way that feels grounded, sustainable and aligned.

Planisodes 3 - Working With Fear and Doubt as You Grow

In this Planisode, you'll explore how to work with fear and doubt rather than letting them hold you back as you grow your business.

Instead of seeing fear as a problem to eliminate, this episode reframes it as useful information. A sign that you're stretching beyond what's familiar, expanding your identity, and moving toward something that truly matters to you.

You'll be guided through a set of reflective questions that help you gently unpack what you're afraid of, what's realistically at stake, and what becomes possible when you choose curiosity over avoidance. You'll also identify one small, courageous step you can take even with fear present.

This approach helps you build confidence in a way that feels natural and sustainable, not by forcing yourself to feel brave first, but by taking aligned action and letting confidence grow from there.

"Confidence doesn't come first. It comes from taking courageous action, even if it's just a small step." - Melitta Campbell

Planisodes 2 - Defining What You Truly Want for 2026

In this Planisode, you'll shift your focus from what you think you should want to what genuinely matters to you as you look ahead to 2026.

Through a series of thoughtful questions and a simple reflective task, you'll begin to identify what energises you, what excites you, and where your true value naturally comes through. This process helps you create clarity that's rooted in honesty and intuition, not pressure or comparison.

You'll also be reminded that nothing in your plan is fixed. As you grow and evolve, your plan can flex with you, allowing your business to stay aligned with who you are and what matters most.

Handwritten Notes in an AI World: The forgotten strategy that's bringing meaning back to marketing24 déc. 202500:35:43

🎙️When Quiet Gestures Create the Deepest Impact (and Real Connection)

with Amy Daughters | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 287)

What if one of the most powerful ways to build trust, loyalty, and connection in your business had nothing to do with algorithms, funnels, or content strategies?

And what if you already knew how to do it?

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering Podcast, I'm joined by author and speaker Amy Daughters, whose work is a beautiful reminder that meaningful connection doesn't have to be clever or complex. Sometimes, it's simply human.

We explore how a single handwritten letter sparked a chain reaction that changed Amy's life, deepened hundreds of relationships, and quietly demonstrated what sincere marketing really looks like in practice.

Amy brings a grounded, deeply human perspective to connection. One that replaces pressure with presence, and performance with sincerity. Rather than asking you to do more, scale faster, or follow the latest tactic, she invites you to slow down and act with intention.

Join me in this episode as we explore how small, thoughtful gestures, like a handwritten note, can quietly strengthen relationships, help your clients feel genuinely seen, and support your business in a way that feels calm, meaningful, and completely aligned.

💡 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

⭐ Why handwritten notes cut through digital and AI noise

⭐ How sincerity matters more than perfect wording
⭐ A simple framework for knowing what to write

Using Email Sequences to Add Value and Grow Your Business17 déc. 202500:55:51

🎙️Adding Value with Email Sequences

with John McKie | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 286)

Email marketing is often talked about as a growth strategy. But in practice, it's something many business owners quietly avoid. Not because they don't see the value, but because it feels technical, exposing or easy to get wrong.

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering, I'm joined by John McKie, email copywriter and welcome sequence specialist, to demystify one of the most overlooked yet powerful foundations in marketing: the welcome sequence.

What emerged was not a conversation about funnels, hacks, or optimisation. Instead, we explored how email can become a steady, human way to build trust, confidence and momentum, especially for business owners who want growth to feel grounded rather than performative.

John brings a refreshingly calm and practical perspective to email. One that replaces pressure with clarity, and overwhelm with simple, thoughtful steps.

Join me in this episode as we explore how a well-crafted email welcome sequence can quietly support your business, build belief with the right people, and give new subscribers the start they actually deserve.

💡 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

⭐ Why email is one of the few marketing channels you truly own

⭐ How a simple welcome sequence builds trust before it ever sells

⭐ Why small, engaged email lists often outperform large, unfocused ones

⭐ How to structure a calm, human welcome sequence without overcomplicating it

Business evolution is often described as a pivot, but more often it's a gradual return to something that has been true all along.

Many business owners and experts have the idea of writing a non-fiction book lingering at the back of their mind. It feels meaningful, but also a little overwhelming. Where do you start? What should you write? And how can you make sure it genuinely supports your reader?

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering podcast, I'm joined by Stacy Ennis – book coach, author, ghostwriter and nonfiction writing mentor who helps entrepreneurs turn their ideas, stories and lived experience into clear, well-structured books.

She explains how your book can become a natural extension of your work, a supportive resource for your reader and a long-term asset for your business.

Together, we look at the writing journey you can take to turn your expertise into something useful and meaningful.

And here's the good news, according to Stacy:

You don't need dramatic confidence.
You don't need endless time.
You don't need to be "more ready" than you are.

You simply need a clear path, a supportive plan and a connection to the reader you want to help.

This episode offers a grounded, realistic way forward.

Join me as we explore a simpler, more centred approach to writing your book — one that helps you shape your ideas with confidence and create something truly valuable for your future readers.

If Marketing Feels Hard, You Might Have the Wrong Strategy for You19 nov. 202500:11:01

🎙️When Marketing Feels Hard, You Might Have the Wrong Strategy for You

Here's how to know and what to di to change it if it is ...

The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 282) with Melitta Campbell

Lately, I've been noticing something in the conversations I'm having with business owners.

More and more people are quietly admitting that the way they're currently marketing doesn't feel good anymore. It feels forced, complicated, or heavier than it should be. And instead of creating momentum, it's draining their energy.

For many of us — especially those who are introverted or thoughtful by nature — success doesn't come from being everywhere or pushing ourselves into strategies that feel unnatural. It comes from choosing approaches that honour how we work, think and communicate.

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering podcast, I share what I see most often when someone's marketing feels "off," why it happens, and how you can rebuild a strategy that fits you far better and attracts more of the right clients.

I'll walk you through the signs of misalignment and the practical steps you can take to create visibility that feels lighter, clearer and much more sustainable.

💡 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

⭐ The three clear signs your marketing strategy is misaligned

⭐ Why "doing more" won't fix the problem — and what will

⭐ How misalignment quietly creates resistance, inconsistency and self-doubt

⭐ Why choosing fewer, better-aligned tactics leads to stronger and more sustainable visibility

⭐ How to rebuild your approach so it supports your actual life, energy and season

...and much more!

What is an Introvert Really?05 nov. 202500:09:38

🎙️What is an Introvert Really?

with Melitta Campbell  | The Art of Value Whispering Podcast (episode 280)

Many introverts build businesses that quietly defy expectations.

They achieve success without shouting louder, by leaning into their strengths: calm focus, deep listening, thoughtful communication and meaningful connection.

Yet so many are told that success requires being more visible, more confident, or more outgoing, as if their natural way of working isn't enough.

In this episode of The Art of Value Whispering podcast, I explore why introversion isn't a limitation to overcome but an energy to understand.

You'll learn how to stop trying to fit into labels so you can design a business that supports how you naturally work best, and communicate your value in ways that feel clear and confident.

This idea — of expressing your true value in ways that feel natural and energizing — is also what I'll be diving into more deeply in my upcoming Magnetic Messaging Masterclass. It's where I'll show you how to attract the right clients by using words that truly reflect who you are, so your marketing starts to work with your energy, not against it.

Join me in this episode to learn how to grow your business in a way that feels aligned with who you are — and turns your quiet strengths into your greatest advantage.

💡 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

*Why there's no such thing as a "classic introvert" — and what that really means for how you work and show up

*How to stop trying to fit into labels and instead design a business that fits you

*The simple mindset shift that helps introverts thrive in marketing, sales, and visibility

*Why communicating your value clearly makes everything else — from growth to confidence — easier

*How to use your energy wisely so you can do less, achieve more, and attract the right opportunities naturally

Stop Competing on Price! (... and what to do instead), with David Gomez08 oct. 202500:47:30
How to Stop Competing on Price and Start Standing Out for Your True Value

Many business owners feel pressure to drop their prices just to win clients.
But the truth is, lowering your price rarely builds the kind of business (or life) you really want.

In this final episode of The Brilliant Book Festival, I'm joined by David Gómez, pricing expert and author of Stop Competing on Price, as well as our brand new co-authored book, Connect. Lead. Succeed, who shares how entrepreneurs can stop competing on price and start standing out for all the right reasons.

David has spent more than 15 years helping small businesses strengthen their pricing and profitability by focusing on differentiation, perceived value, and human connection.

He explains why your ability to charge fairly for your work isn't about being the cheapest — it's about being clear, confident and meaningfully different.

If you've ever found yourself second-guessing your prices or wondering how to communicate your worth without discounting, this conversation will open your eyes to what really creates value in your clients' minds.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

  • Why competing on price keeps your business stuck — and what to do instead
  • The three questions that uncover your true differentiators
  • How to find what makes you remarkable (even when it feels like everyone's the same)
  • Simple ways to add value that make price irrelevant
  • How to use connection and clarity to build trust — and win clients who pay what you're worth

...and much more!

Coaching Clients Through Imposter Syndrome01 oct. 202500:45:09

‍

The Truth About Coaching Through Imposter Syndrome

So many coaches and consultants encounter clients who hold themselves back—not because they lack skills, but because they quietly believe they don't deserve success.
‍

In this episode of The Brilliant Book Festival, I'm joined by Clare Josa, author of Ditching Imposter Syndrome and now her follow-up book: Coaching Imposter Syndrome.
‍

Clare has spent more than two decades helping people break free from imposter syndrome. Now her mission is bigger: to equip coaches, consultants and leaders with safe, practical tools to recognise and respond to imposter syndrome when it shows up in their sessions.
‍

She also reveals the myths still circulating about imposter syndrome, why it's not the same as self-doubt, and how AI might just play a surprising role in helping people feel more confident and capable.
‍

If you've ever wondered how to tell the difference between skills-based self-doubt and deeper identity-level imposter syndrome, this conversation will open your eyes.

‍

"Imposter syndrome isn't a life sentence. It's something you can spot, understand and clear." – Clare Josa ‍ Beyond Self-Doubt: Spotting the Real Signs

Clare explains that self-doubt is about skills, while imposter syndrome cuts deeper — it's about identity.
‍

  • Self-doubt sounds like: "I don't know enough, I need more experience."

  • Imposter syndrome sounds like: "I'm not good enough. They'll find me out."

This distinction matters, because the tools that help with self-doubt often fail when the issue is imposter syndrome. Coaches who miss this can leave clients feeling stuck or even unsafe.

‍

The Myths Holding Us Back

In recent years, imposter syndrome has gained visibility, but with that has come misinformation. Clare shares how some dismiss it as:
‍

  • "Just self-doubt in disguise."

  • "A construct designed to hold women back."

Her response? Labels aside, what matters is helping people recognise the patterns keeping them small, and giving them tools to move forward.

‍

"Confidence grows fastest when you have the right tools and support at your fingertips." – Clare Josa

‍
‍

Practical Tools for Coaches

Clare's new book and app provide 26 simple, safe tools coaches can use the moment imposter syndrome gatecrashes a session. These tools help coaches to:
‍

  • Clear limiting patterns without opening emotional "Pandora's boxes."

  • Shift their clients mindset fast with confidence and safety.

  • Give coaches clarity on how far to go — and when to signpost deeper support.

The goal isn't to turn every coach into an imposter syndrome specialist, but to equip them with the confidence to help clients without overstepping.

‍

‍

Imposter Syndrome, Introverts and Change

Clare also clears up another myth: imposter syndrome doesn't only affect introverts. Both introverts and extroverts experience it, but they cope differently:
‍

  • Introverts tend to overthink.

  • Extroverts tend to overact.

And because imposter syndrome is linked to identity, it often surfaces during times of transition—like stepping into a new role, raising prices, or navigating fast-changing technology.

‍

AI as a Confidence Companion

Perhaps most intriguing, Clare has developed Ask Clare AI — an app trained on millions of her own words to give coaches, managers and individuals real-time support between sessions.
‍

It's not designed to replace the coach, but to act as a safe, trauma-informed resource when self-doubt or fear strikes in the moment.

‍

‍

A Final Thought to Reflect On

Coaching through imposter syndrome isn't about fixing clients — it's about helping them reconnect with who they really are.
‍

When coaches can spot the difference between self-doubt and identity-level struggle, and when they have the tools to guide clients safely through those first steps, everyone benefits.
‍

As Clare reminds us, the real goal is bigger than overcoming imposter syndrome. It's about building a world where people feel comfortable in their own skin, confident in their contribution, and free to reach their full potential.
‍

So instead of asking, "How do I help my clients push through self-doubt?" try asking, "How can I give them the tools and confidence to break free from imposter syndrome for good?"
‍

That small shift in perspective can change not just a coaching session, but the whole trajectory of a client's success.

‍

The Bookability Formula: What the 1% of most-booked speakers do (and you can too)24 sept. 202500:33:56

‍‍

The Secrets of Being a Bookable Speaker

So many entrepreneurs wonder why some speakers are in constant demand while others struggle to get booked.

In this episode of The Brilliant Business Book Festival, Maria Franzoni,  former bureau insider and author of The Bookability Formula reveals the formula that makes speakers irresistible to event organizers.

Drawing on decades of experience, Maria shows why being "bookable" has less to do with celebrity status and more to do with relevance, clarity, memorability, and ease.

She also explains how entrepreneurs can use speaking not just for visibility, but as a powerful driver of business growth and influence.

If you've ever wanted to know what makes organizers say yes and how to become the go-to choice in your field, this conversation will open your eyes.

‍

‍

"Bookable speakers aren't always the most famous — they're the ones who are relevant, memorable, and easy to work with." – Maria Franzoni ‍ Beyond Star Power: What Really Gets You Booked

Many assume that only celebrities or big-name experts get chosen for paid speaking gigs. Maria shows why that's a myth. The most booked speakers aren't always the most famous — they're the ones who are relevant, memorable, and easy to work with.
‍

She explains why clarity of message and consistency often matter more than a massive following, and how anyone can raise their profile by positioning themselves strategically.
‍

‍

The Six Elements of Bookability

Maria breaks down her framework into four foundations, a multiplier, and a divider:
‍

  • Relevance to a paying audience

  • Known for one clear thing

  • Memorable for both audiences and bookers

  • Easy to find and work with

  • Value as the multiplier (delivering clear ROI)

  • Ego as the divider (too much can ruin everything)

This combination reveals why some speakers build thriving businesses while others plateau.

‍

‍

"Being known for one clear thing doesn't limit you — it's the key that opens the right doors." – Maria Franzoni

‍

‍

Niching Down to Open Doors

One of the most counterintuitive insights Maria shares is that being known for one thing actually expands your opportunities.

Just like Amazon started with books before becoming known for convenience, speakers who focus on one clear theme open the door to broader opportunities later.

‍

‍

Value Beyond the Stage

The most successful speakers don't just show up, deliver a talk, and leave. They think in terms of long-term value — creating ways for organizers and audiences to keep learning and benefiting from their expertise long after the speech is over. From books to recordings to tailored follow-up resources, Maria highlights creative ways speakers can multiply their impact (and income).

‍
‍

The Power of Consistency

Perhaps Maria's most practical reminder is that consistency builds visibility. If you're not regularly showing up where your audience is, you'll fall off their radar — no matter how good you are on stage.

‍

‍

A Final Thought to Reflect On

Becoming a bookable speaker isn't about chasing fame or filling your calendar with endless hustle. It's about clarity, relevance, and the consistent delivery of value. When you make it easy for others to work with you, when you show up consistently, and when you focus on solving the problems of a paying audience, opportunities begin to find you.
‍

So instead of asking, "How do I get on more stages?" try asking, "How can I make myself the obvious choice for the right stages?"
‍

That small shift in perspective can transform speaking from a side activity into a real engine for business growth.

‍

Maria teaches speakers how to become more relevant, known, and bookable by sharing the strategies used by the top 1%.
