Ryan Runciman's long connection with Cloud 9 began on Cloud 9's first series to be filmed in New Zealand, the Enid Blyton Adventure Series (where Ryan also appeared with future Tribe alumni Jennyfer Jewell, David Taylor and more). Ryan also has appeared in Cloud 9's series 'Revelations - The Initial Journey' and starred in William Shatner's A Twist in the Tale with Victoria Spence (SALENE).
Recorded from outside Wellington, New Zealand where Ryan has been in lockdown during the COVID situation, Ryan talks about his on screen character and acting career, as well as life in general.
A tremendous actor, Ryan is also gifted in many areas including the business world, dance and also following his passion for rugby.
The Tribe is of course a drama series set against a world that has been impacted by a virus pandemic, leaving the young people, teenagers and children left behind to build a new world, in a world without adults. It is also approximately the 20th year anniversary since The Tribe was first broadcast - and how ironic it is that many themes and elements in the series have resonated with the virus now affecting the real world in 2020.
