Who will reach the Champions League final? And Kane & Kompany win the Bundesliga

mardi 6 mai 2025Duration 01:09:22

It’s Jimbo, James Horncastle, Julien Laurens, Pol Ballús and Seb Stafford-Bloor ahead of a giant week across the continent.

The Champions League semi-final second legs are upon us. Can Arsenal overturn a 1-0 deficit in Paris? Will we see another classic between Inter and Barcelona? Who’s going to Munich? We also look at the semis in the Europa and Conference League.

Barca then have a Clásico on their hands on Saturday, with the chance to take a huge step towards the La Liga title. And while Ancelotti may be on the way out of the Bernabeu, what will Trent Alexander-Arnold bring to Los Blancos next season?

Bayern win the Bundesliga for the 12th time in 13 seasons with Harry Kane securing the first trophy of his career and Vincent Kompany vindicated after his shock appointment in Bavaria.

Napoli stay 3 points clear at the top of Serie A while Roma make it 19 games unbeaten under Claudio Ranieri to boost their top 4 hopes.

Plus promotions for Pisa and Paris FC, and the latest chapter of the Antony redemption story.

Produced by Charlie Jones.

• PART 2: Champions League semi-final second leg preview (06.30)

Chelsea’s vital victory over Liverpool, plus Bournemouth’s historic win at Arsenal

dimanche 4 mai 2025Duration 52:54

Jimbo welcomes Daniel Storey, Matt Davies-Adams and Colin Millar into the pod as the race for European football really hots up.

Chelsea defeat champions Liverpool to make it 4 wins in a row, as Cole Palmer returns to form. With Newcastle, Forest and Villa surrounding the Blues, who will make it into the Champions League?

Are Arsenal about to let second place slip? Bournemouth win for the first time ever at the Emirates as the Gunners yet again let a lead slip. Could Mikel Arteta regret playing such a strong side ahead of the Champions League semi-final with PSG?

Much-changed Man United and Tottenham were in action on Sunday. Could they really meet in the Europa League final? And what does that say about the Premier League?

Plus we review a remarkable final day in the EFL regular season.

Produced by Charlie Jones.

RUNNING ORDER:

• PART 1a: Chelsea 3-1 Liverpool (05.00)

• PART 1b: Newcastle, Villa and Forest’s Champions League hopes (10.30)

Newcastle take control of top 5 race as Forest and Chelsea make costly slips

dimanche 13 avril 2025Duration 53:04

Jimbo has Duncan Alexander, Daniel Storey and Matt Davies-Adams for company as the race for Champions League football gets very interesting.

Newcastle make light work of Man United with a 4-1 victory at St James’s Park. Are they the best team in the country right now. And could they finish 2nd?

Chelsea come from 2-0 down to Ipswich to salvage a point but fan discontent grows at Stamford Bridge. And it’s squeaky bum time for Nottingham Forest who lose again at home to Everton. Could Moyes do a Nuno next season?

Liverpool could win the title next weekend after Van Dijk’s late winner against West Ham. And we ponder the chances of the English clubs in the Champions League next week.

Plus Villa Park is great, Spurs are a shambles and goal difference is a lie.

Produced by Charlie Jones.

• PART 1a: Newcastle 4-1 Man United (05.00)

• PART 1b: Chelsea 2-2 Ipswich (11.00)

Leverkusen's 35-game unbeaten run ended while Barca’s perfect start continues

mardi 3 septembre 2024Duration 01:05:59

Jimbo’s got Julien Laurens, Seb Stafford Bloor, James Horncastle and Pol Ballús alongside him for your latest dose of action from across the continent.

After 462 days Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga unbeaten streak is over after their 3-2 defeat by RB Leipzig. Harry Kane scored his first goal of the season as Thomas Muller became Bayern's all-time record appearance holder in their win over Freiburg.

Elsewhere, Lyon came out on top in a seven-goal thriller with Strasbourg in Ligue 1 - but it’s PSG who maintain the only 100% record three matches in.

Milan’s sticky start to the Serie A season continued in a 2-2 draw with Lazio which featured some eye-catching decisions from Paulo Fonseca… they’re already five points off the pace while Inter lead the way after their 4-0 thrashing of Atalanta. Plenty of deadline day drama to reflect on too - as Victor Osimhen eventually gets his move away from Napoli…

Plus, Kylian Mbappé’s wait for a La Liga goal is over as he bagged a brace against Betis - but Barcelona stole the show putting seven past Real Valladolid!

We’ve also got plenty of reaction to last week’s European draws which threw up some pretty tasty ties…

Produced by Lucy Oliva.

RUNNING ORDER:

• PART 1: Hello and moments of the week (00.45)

• PART 2: La Liga review - Barcelona purring under Hansi Flick (11.10)

• PART 3: Bundesliga review - Leverkusen's unbeaten run is OVER (23.25)

• PART 4: Serie A - Fonseca furore and Osimhen out (34.50)

• PART 5: Ligue 1 review - Lyon win 4-3 thriller and Will Still's angry (49.30)
