3. Jesus sent his Spirit to fill and empower us to live faithful lives as children of God under the new covenant. Have you asked Jesus to fill you with his personal presence so that you can live a life worthy of him? Take a moment and ask for the Holy Spirit to make you more and more like Jesus.

Meditation Questions

1. If you were there when the birth of Jesus, the Messiah King of Israel was announced, how would you have felt. 
2. Having spent time reading the Hebrew Bible, if you were there when Jesus' birth was announced what would you have expected Jesus’ Kingdom to look like?
3. If the promised Kingdom that Jesus launched was different from your expectations, would you respond by rejecting Jesus because it’s not the type of world that you want or would you decide to trust Jesus to show you what a good, rich, world really is like?

1. Do you ever relate to the people who want to break free from God? What is it that you imagine about God that makes you want to get away from him?
2. God will allow you to reject him, but it only leads to your own undoing, apart from God, the life-giver, there is nothing good, no blessing. Even though you may be rejecting God right now, he is still open-handedly offering you his blessing, extending an opportunity for you to receive the life he offers. What does this tell you about who God is?
3. Have you ever had a moment where you decided to commit your life fully to King Jesus? If not would you take a moment right now and make that decision?

2. Part of the Messianic hope is the eradication of division and pain in the world, what comes to mind as you think about that
3. Who is someone in your life who needs to hear this message of hope? What is the first step you can take to share it with them?
