He became a star on the well known Netflix show, Too Hot To Handle, but after realising the challenges that come with reality TV, he found himself slipping back into old habits. 

Since leaving the TV world behind, Kori became fully sober and found a love for health and fitness. He has competed in various ultramarathons, including a 220km multistage race in Africa, and now lives his life wanting to inspire more people to get into health and fitness. 

Fergus and Kori discuss many topics, including Kori’s earlier life, the truth of being involved in reality TV, the misconceptions around social media, the many valuable lessons from ultra marathons, the benefits of going sober, and much much more.

In this episode, Fergus is joined by Dan Wallace, former Olympic and World Champion swimmer. 


Dan certainly had an extremely successful career, winning a Gold medal at The Commonwealth Games, a Silver medal at The Olympic Games and also winning Gold at the 2015 World Championships. But, at the age of only 24, Dan announced his retirement from professional swimming, as he felt he had achieved everything he wanted to. 


Years later, Dan returned to the sport having rediscovered his love for it through more of a coaching capacity and now is the founder of Swimmr, a platform that aims to deliver top-tier swimming education to anyone, anywhere. 


Since retiring, Dan has competed in Ice Swimming competitions, swam across the channel as part of a relay team, and is now preparing for a solo channel swim. 


Dan shares his journey to becoming an olympian, the mindset and training required to compete at the highest level, what it was like racing against Michael Phelps, his transition out of the sport, the many lessons he has learned along the way, and much much more…

#101 | Mick Hawkes | 14 Years In The SAS - Living Life On The Edge 06 May 202401:15:45

In this episode, Fergus is joined by Mick Hawkes, former 22 SAS, undercover surveillance operator and security consultant. 


Mick has lived a fascinating life. He grew up wanting to be a professional footballer, but an unsuccessful trial at Lincoln City put his dream on hold. He joined the military at 16, serving with the Parachute Regiment  and 29 Commando before eventually taking on SAS selection. After ending up in hospital and failing the first time, he successfully passed on the 2nd attempt. Mick spent 14 years in the SAS and operated all over the world, including Bosnia, where he was taken prisoner alongside Billy Billingham. As well as this, Mick conducted successful surveillance operations with The Det in Northern Ireland and even worked with MI5. After leaving the military, he went onto work in the corporate world, providing security consultancy to large organisations and now runs Hawkes and Co with his daughter, delivering training to multiple sectors including schools and agriculture. 


Mick shares details of his childhood, his career in the military, what it was like working undercover in the surveillance world, his experience of being captured in Bosnia, many of the lessons learned and much much more…

Robin has certainly lived an extraordinary life. He joined the military at 15 and then served in 2 Para in Northern Ireland. After multiple tours of Northern Ireland, he eventually joined the SAS and was part of one of the most famous hostage rescue missions in history - The Iranian Embassy Siege in 1980. After leaving the military, Robin went onto bodyguard for some of the wealthiest people in the world, start his own Karate school and gain an English Literature degree from the University of Surrey.
