S3 Ep7: The Sync Report | Dr. Jess Duckworth

Season 3 · Episode 7

jeudi 22 septembre 2022Duration 01:08:32

Dr Jess Duckworth, aka The Piano Doctor, composes delicate, melodic, reflective piano music that resonated across the world during the covid pandemic and ever since, propelling her album to the top of the UK Classical Charts and securing her a top 20 UK album in early 2022.
As a medical doctor, Jess was at the frontline of the UK covid pandemic, but then, on her way home after long, long shifts in hospital she would sit at the piano and play one of her beautiful compositions for the patients who could not have visitors and the medics and staff who could barely rest.
Hear Jess talk about this time in the world and how it inspired her to compose more beautifully emotive songs for her forthcoming album, with songs about new beginnings, not just coming out of the pandemic, but in many areas of life, including the effect of her latest new medical role and the babies she’ll be bringing into the world!
Dr Jess Duckworth is a hugely talented composer and pianist and a huge inspiration, no wonder our panel fell head over heels for her, and we are sure you will too. Be sure to check out Dr Jess Duckworth's highly emotive music on your favorite music provider.
Stay tuned for the sync session and music from you our audience, plus a discussion on World Peace School Sports Day with creators Mike Molloy & Derek Peaple.

Season 3 · Episode 3

jeudi 25 août 2022Duration 01:43:14

Listen to them both talk about some of the difficulties they’ve encountered in their roles, as well as some of the best parts of being a music supervisor. Plus, they remind us about the importance of metadata and what happens when you don’t include it.
Why does Michelle love working with composer and producer Marius De Vries? (no relation!) What’s it like to be freelance in the music industry and how do they create a work & life balance in such a stressful role and business? And that’s just to start!
