Alright y’all, lock in your straps and crank that amp to 11 — because today on The Sunshine Show, we’ve got a bassist who doesn’t just play the groove — he commands it. He’s a monster on the low end, a fusion freak with punk attitude, and a musical legacy all his own.

Nephew of the legendary Jaco Pastorius, but don’t get it twisted — this man has carved his own wild path with lightning fingers, fearless tone, and a stage presence that’ll slap the soul outta your chest.

He’s shared stages with Tech N9ne, Pat Travers, and a whole lineup of legends — but today, he’s here to share stories, drop some truth, and lay down the law of the low end with us. He recently dropped a new single with NOFX called Barcelona and is headed back out on the road with Pat Travers.

Make some noise, throw some horns, and welcome to the show the one, the only… David Pastorius!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, bass players and weirdos of the world — welcome to another epic episode of The Sunshine Show!

today we’ve got a guest so spicy, so scary, and so spectacular… your speakers might just melt!

That’s right — it’s the one, the only, the punk rock prince of parody, the master of mayhem... Hairy Scary of the Spice Pistols!

We’re diving into stories of stage chaos, musical mischief, and what it’s really like to spice up punk rock one snarl at a time.

🎻✨ This week on The Sunshine Show, prepare your ears for a chaotic symphony of strings and sass as we welcome Its Majesty Rusharguanox, the Infamous Cello Goblín! 👑🧌

From the dark depths of the underworld’s conservatory to the punk rock stages of rebellion, Rusharguanox brings tales of cello sorcery, kazoo mastery, and jester-styled anarchy. No topic is off-limits—from goblin folklore to musical mischief, and why the kazoo might just be the most underrated instrument of all time.

Tune in for a riotous ride through sound, satire, and a sprinkle of cello-powered madness. Long live the Cello Goblin! 🎶🔥

Bass Month has been wonderful !! Aram Bedrosian is an amazing solo bassist with a great story, awesome sense of humor and one of a kind playing style. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show!

"Born and raised in Burlington, Vermont, Aram began playing at 13 and developed his technique playing in progressive rock and funk bands. He studied composition in college while frequently performing live and recording with various touring acts all over the U.S..

After earning a reputation as a first-class pro bassist he released his debut album of emotionally resonant and technically dazzling original unaccompanied solo pieces. It quickly earned glowing reviews and worldwide attention; leading to co-billings with Buckethead, Joe Bonommassa and other world-class artists as well as numerous endorsements.

Also a highly sought-after bass instructor in Vermont and worldwide, he is the resident bass faculty member at Johnson State College, the founder of the Burlington Music Dojo musical collective in Vermont, and a contributor to the Bass Players United online community. He also still does frequent session work and regularly performs live with drummer Jon Fishman of Phish." -www.arambedrosian.com

The party continues on The Sunshine Show with the one and only bassist, out of Mexico, Kello Gonzalez!! For live shows please follow on FB @sunshine.cantu

"Kello Gonzalez is a Mexican bassist of phenomenal talent, recording and touring the world with the prog-metal band Parazit, but he’s better known to a whole demographic of online bass fans for his YouTube channel.

There might be a million clips of musicians doing their thing online, but Kello’s are different. It’s Gonzalez’s tone which sticks out – a meaty, mids-heavy, clean sound mixed at the perfect point. How the hell he gets that tone is beyond us, or at least it was until he told us how he does it."

It's Billy Sheehan time babbbyyyyy!!!

http://www.billysheehan.com/

The Bandulus (BAN-DOO-LOOS) are the brainchild of Jeremy Peña, a musician from Austin, Texas. Formerly of Los Skarnales and the Trenchtown Texans, Peña ventured out on his own to create the traditional ska, reggae, and soul sensation that is The Bandulus.

Their first full length album, Ska.Reggae.Soul, was released in 2010 and featured a smattering of well-respected musicians including The Slackers’ Vic Ruggiero and Willy Camero, Patrick Kelly, and Jonny Meyers of The Stingers ATX. Following the release, Peña solidified his live band with musicians from the Austin and San Antonio scenes.

In November 2012, The Bandulus released their second full length album, The Times We Had, which was featured on countless top 10 lists for ska and reggae records. While staying genuine to the 60's style traditional ska, The Times We Had keeps listeners on their toes by crossing genres, but always with heavy soul influence and heartfelt lyrics.

The band’s third full-length album, Love A Woman, was released in January 2020 and is smorgasbord of subgenre. Over 14 tracks, The Bandulus tackle early rock ‘n’ roll, channel heavy soul sounds, add Motown-style harmonies to ska beats, and put a psychedelic spin on contemporary reggae production.

The Bandulus have shared the stage with yesterdays and today’s top ska and reggae acts, including ska originators The Skatalites, Inner Circle, The Wailers, The Slackers, Easy Star All Stars, The English Beat, The Aggrolites, Collie Budz, The Skints, Save Ferris, New Kingston, The Suffers, Western Standard Time, The Pietasters and Los Lonely Boys. They were also a featured artist at the 2019 Victoria Ska and Reggae Festival and will feature at the 2020 Freedom Sounds Ska festival in Cologne, Germany.

Jamaican patois for bandit, The Bandulus will steal your heart and always leave you smiling.

"Born and raised in Philly, crash landed in Charleston, Kevin and John Shields are breaking into previously uncharted waters with their quirky indie hip-hop group, Little Stranger. Between John’s melodic singer-songwriter magnetism, Kevin’s in-your-face delivery, and an overall undeniable groove, this duo is sure to get any audience up and moving. Stylistically reminiscent of Gorillaz and Odelay-era Beck, Little Stranger delivers a fresh take on melodic hip-hop. Every track brings the uniqueness and strangeness that their name implies.

For the past few years, the duo has perfected their live performance by playing over 100 shows per year prior to the coronavirus shutdown. The group also puts a big focus on creating arresting visual experiences through their music videos, their own eccentric television program (LSTV), and in-house graphics. Between their out-of-the-box creative endeavors and an ever-increasing arsenal of new tunes, Little Stranger is poised to make 2022 another slam dunk." www.littlestrangermusic.com

The Matt Irie Band started as a one-man show in North Carolina 2006 with vocalist Matt Irie rocking with a DJ at local hip hop shows. Multiple lineup changes over the years brought together a fusion of genres to form the five-piece group they are today. Joined by Larry Holcomb and Joe Watkins on guitars, Will Barkley on drums, and Michael Dorsett on bass and keys, Matt Irie leads what is described as "island infused-Funky Blues." They draw on their diverse backgrounds, bringing together influences from bands like Beastie Boys, Dr. John, Howlin' Wolf and Incubus, and finding themselves sharing the stage with the likes of Pepper, Rev Run, Morning 40 Federation, Badflower, Ludacris, Jelly Roll, Kellie Pickler, Tim Reynolds, Larry Keel, Kottonmouth Kings, The Green, Stick Figure, Tribal Seeds, and Motionless in White.

The past few years have taken the band to the next level, enjoying the spotlight on multiple festivals like the Blue Ridge Rock Festival and the Port City Reggae Festival. The Matt Irie Band has formed a one-of-a-kind cocktail blend, packing a unique style and energetic sound to win crowds over at venues all over the Southeast, catching a strong buzz around the entire US, and raising glasses as far as Australia, France, and Japan. The full band just released their debut single under Ingrooves Music Group/TLG this September titled "Coastal," with a string of additional singles to follow in the coming months. Their music can be found on all major streaming platforms. Be sure to follow the band on their socials as tour information will be released soon!
