Fear Unlocked: What Your Mind Doesn’t Want You to Know
Episode 665
lundi 24 mars 2025 • Duration 22:24
Ready to unlock the truth about fear? In this episode, I reveal why everything you’ve been told about fear is based on an illusion called “negative faith.” What if I told you that the fears holding you back aren’t actually yours? What if these borrowed beliefs are the very thing stopping you from achieving the success you desire?
Most people don’t realize they were only born with two natural fears: the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Everything else? It’s programmed. But here’s the key: what’s programmed can be unlocked and rewritten. Throughout this episode, I break down how our environment shapes our fears and why most limitations are simply learned responses that no longer serve us.
Through real-world examples and surprising revelations, I uncover the mechanics behind fear-based thinking. You’ll discover how whole families, communities, and even societies have been crippled by false ideas rooted in fear. Additionally, I share a powerful story about someone who avoided wealth their entire life because of borrowed beliefs about money.
In this episode, I explain:
- The true source of your fears (hint: they’re not yours)
- Why wealthy people see money differently
- How to spot and break fear-based programming
- The difference between fear as an alert system versus a paralysis mechanism
Discover the simple yet powerful shift that lets you see both sides of every situation and choose your response consciously. In fact, the greatest power you possess is your ability to choose. Let me show you practical techniques for redirecting your faith energy toward growth instead of limitation. By understanding the law of polarity, you’ll learn how every situation contains equal amounts of positive and negative—and why your focus determines your reality.

The Wealth Code: Rewiring Your Money Identity
Episode 664
lundi 17 mars 2025 • Duration 21:12
In this episode, I decode the hidden programming keeping millions trapped in financial mediocrity. Your relationship with money isn’t just about dollars in your account—it’s about the wealth identity encoded in your subconscious mind.
Your Divine Inheritance
Rich people never “work for money”—instead, they operate from a creator identity that builds wealth-generating systems. Your financial DNA contains untapped wealth potential that remains dormant until activated. Many remain loyal to family money programming that unconsciously sabotages their prosperity. Understanding your divine inheritance provides access to unlimited abundance that’s your natural birthright.
Ever notice how lottery winners often end up broke? Through my journey from financial struggle to prosperity, I discovered that money problems aren’t solved by money—they’re solved by rewiring your money identity. I provide the exact blueprint for shedding the working-class identity keeping you trapped and stepping into your natural state of wealth consciousness.
Rewire Your Money Identity
Begin by decoding the money programming running in your background since childhood. Next, activate your creator identity by embracing your divine wealth potential. Implement immediate wealth-building actions regardless of current circumstances. Finally, design automated prosperity systems that free you from trading time for dollars.

Sales Influence Without Manipulation
Episode 655
lundi 13 janvier 2025 • Duration 16:20
Discovering sales influence without manipulation is the cornerstone of authentic business success. Throughout this powerful episode, we challenge traditional sales approaches that rely on pressure tactics. As a result, we reveal why true influence emerges from personal transformation rather than manipulation.
The Problem with Traditional Sales Training
Most sales training programs teach manipulation-based techniques. However, achieving sales influence without manipulation requires a fundamentally different approach. Moreover, when salespeople unconsciously share the same limiting beliefs as their prospects, they lack the authentic influence needed to create transformation. Consequently, this episode explores how to break free from this common trap and develop genuine sales influence.
Essential Insights for Authentic Sales Success
In this transformative discussion, we explore several critical elements of authentic influence:
- Why parallel belief systems between seller and prospect block authentic influence
- How being stuck in survival mode prevents transformational sales
- The critical difference between making a purchase and committing to change
- Breaking conventional rules for sales breakthrough
- Speaking to the unconscious mind of ideal clients
- The direct connection between personal growth and sales influence
- Why chasing recognition blocks authentic influence
- Attracting ideal clients through genuine transformation
Furthermore, we examine a compelling case study: From a group of 200+ salespeople who underwent the same high-level training in 1999, only one person built lasting success. Through this example, you’ll discover the crucial mindset difference that made it possible – specifically, a commitment to authentic influence rather than manipulation.
The Path to True Sales TransformationTherefore, the key to influential selling isn’t about pressure tactics or manipulation. Instead, it’s about becoming someone who has done the inner work, embraced transformation, and can authentically guide others toward their desired future outcomes.

The Best of 2022 – Part I
Episode 564
lundi 26 décembre 2022 • Duration 34:15
In this 2-part series, we’re bringing you excerpts from the very best of The Successful Mind Podcast this past year. These include some of our most-downloaded episodes, as well as some of our favorite picks. If any of these jump out at you, you may want to revisit the full episode. We’ve provided links to each below. Enjoy the show!
[1:17]
Episode 453: How to Trust Yourself in the Year Ahead
Every year, millions of people set a New Year’s resolution and don’t do a damn thing with it. When you say you’re going to do something—and you don’t do it—you’re doing damage to your own psychology. You train your mind to believe it’s okay to break trust with yourself. This develops into develop a pattern to where your mind doesn’t trust you.
[5:15]
Episode 464: Rewire your Mind: The Quality of Your Life Equals the Quality of Your Decisions
Anytime you need to do something you don’t want to do in order to reach a goal, you must mentally associate something good or positive to that activity. This will allow you to manifest your goal much quicker.
[6:25]
Episode 465: The Power of Will
When Will Smith was young, his dad taught him and his brother how to build a brick wall. This was slow, grueling work that overwhelmed them. His dad taught him not to focus on the wall, but to focus on laying each brick perfectly. This gave Will a life lesson about persistence, discipline, focus, and goals.
[9:39]
Episode 476: The Desire to Succeed
Whenever a person is struggling or they fail, it’s usually because doubt got into their mind. Whenever doubt creeps into your mind, it attacks what you’re thinking about. Doubt is like a virus. It changes how you’re thinking about something. We start to believe the doubt and get emotionally involved with it.
If you want to reach your vision and goals, and carry out your plan—you must protect your mind from doubt.
[11:49]
Episode 478: Everything is Preparing You for Something Greater
How you meet current challenges will determine how prepared you are for future challenges. I never liked the idea that “God tests people and you have to be prepared to pass the test.” However, I do believe the challenges we experience are preparing us for something bigger and better down the road.
[14:24]
Episode 492: Passion is an Inside Job
People often look in the wrong places to find what they love. We’re programmed to believe we need to “find our passion,” “find our purpose,” or “find something we enjoy doing,” so we can love our work. But this idea keeps people blind to it their whole life.
The truth is, you can decide to change your attitude. Instead of looking at everything through a filter of hate, you can show up in a state of joy, love, and passion to whatever you’re doing. When you do this, you’ll be led right to the thing.
[19:10]
Episode 495: A Conversation with Quan Huynh
I interviewed Quan Huynh about his experience in prison, and how he realized that he didn’t have to view prison as a punishment. Instead, he could view it as an opportunity to remake himself into a better person, while helping other men to do the same. He says the universe’s answer back to him was “Yes.” So he started to go in that positive direction.
For the first time, he began hearing the sparrows chirp. They were probably chirping during his whole person term, but he never heard them until that moment.
[21:34]
Episode 503: Nice is Not a Value
Being “nice” is not a value. Being kind is a value. Being nice is one of the biggest con jobs that people do to themselves and each other. It’s basically the idea that no matter how you feel, you must be nice. And you must trust someone who’s being nice.
Neither of these behaviors are healthy. They can do damage in a person’s life. Trusting someone who’s nice can make you accept someone’s opinion or expertise, without question. And that’s dangerous.
[23:56]
Episode 504: Acres of Wisdom from The Biggest Little Farm
Steph had a strong emotional reaction while watching the documentary, “The Biggest Little Farm.” It’s not a sad documentary—it’s a feel-good documentary. Having grown up with many great memories of being a child on a farm, Steph was amazed at how the documentary reflected universal truths in every aspect—including the law of cause and effect, and the law of polarity.
[27:56]
Episode 516: Sixty: The Rolling Stones
The Rolling Stones have been around for over 60 years, which is an unbelievable accomplishment. The band was formed in 1962, around the same time that the Beatles started to rise.
If you go back to their roots, The Rolling Stones were “blues” guys. In their first albums, they were trying to be the next Muddy Waters and Howlin Wolf. Eventually. they created their own interpretation of that music. Despite popular belief, they never had a chip on their shoulder about The Beatles. They were friends with them in real life. Their fans created a persona in which they were the rival of The Beatles.
[30:47]
Episode 518: Do You Want to Know the Truth or Do You Want to be Right?
Whenever you get stuck—to the point where you can’t seem to move forward, come to a resolution, or know which decision to make—this indicates that you would rather be right than know the truth. A person will stay stuck if they don’t want to know the truth and if they have a need to be right. This need comes from the ego. It usually stems from childhood as a method of self-preservation.
If you understand how to think, you can move yourself through this. Whether you ask for help or not, you must start training yourself to get to the answer. Otherwise, you’ll never make any progress forward. Let go of what’s untrue about the situation, so you can move to the truth.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful year. We look forward to bringing you even more great content in 2023!

How to Navigate Holiday Gatherings
Episode 563
lundi 19 décembre 2022 • Duration 37:37
Are you prepared to navigate holiday gatherings this season? During this time of year, Steph and I get tons of questions on how to deal with family, boundaries, and heated conversations.
Clients will often ask: “How can I stay in an abundance mindset when I’m surrounded by parents and extended family who have different beliefs than me?” “How do I talk with my family about my business?” “How do I not get triggered?”
Most of us love our families and want to connect with them during the holidays. Being around different energy dynamics can be challenging, especially while traveling.
In today’s episode, we discuss:
How people in tend to put each other in a box—where they expect you to be a certain way
How your parents and grandparents see you the same way they saw you as a child—through the lens of the limitations, behaviors, and emotions you had as a kid
How I observed my family having the same conversations year after year—and the story of how my mom negatively reacted after I bought her a Christmas gift that she said she wanted
Why family members judge you and get triggered by who you’re becoming (hint: whenever you change, you force others around you to change, because they have to adapt to your change)
How comments like “Must be nice” are passive aggressive—and what you can do to change the conversation to something more positive
Why Steph refuses to ask her husband how his day was, and what she asks instead
- How to navigate holiday gatherings like a champ with simple strategies
Steph shares 3 conversation starters that can help you learn more about your family and connect with them on a deeper level:
1) If you could relive a past year of your life because it was so good—which year would you re-live, and why?
2) What are you most excited about in your life right now?
3) What are you grateful that you never have to do again?
BT also shares his 3 “no fail” steps to take if you want to avoid minefields this holiday:
1) Have no expectations.
2) Be flexible.
3) Use the S.T.O.P. Strategy.

An Inside View on the Netflix Documentary Stutz
Episode 562
lundi 12 décembre 2022 • Duration 47:52
**Spoiler Alert:
This Episode Contains Massive Spoilers**
Jonah Hill recently released the Netflix documentary Stutz, in which he has a vulnerable conversation with his therapist Phil Stutz. The documentary is Jonah’s attempt to honor his therapist’s life, while also sharing his tools and demonstrating a real-life therapy session .
Within the first 20 minutes of the film, something feels off. Jonah comes clean with the audience, admitting that up until that point, they’ve spent two years trying to film the session. Jonah then shifts into vulnerability , which makes the rest of the documentary much more authentic .
Jonah & Phil Stutz don’t have a typical patient . But in this case, their relationship helped both of them heal dramatically.
In this episode, Steph and I discuss:
- The surprise twists that happen in the documentary—and “the big reveal” that takes place within the first 20 minutes that hooks you in and anchors you into what’s going on
- What stood out for both Steph and me about the film
- How therapists are trained to just sit across from someone and listen to their problems without interrupting or giving advice (and why Stutz says this is brutal)
- The tools Stutz gives to Jonah that seriously helped him in life, which anyone can use to quickly shift how they’re feeling
- How Stutz and Jonah both lost a brother—and how that experience completely disrupted Stutz’s life
- The three things that humans will always have—pain, uncertainty, and having to do the work
- How mistakes and pain are leading the way
Jonah and his therapist developed one hell of a relationship . I see it as kind of a love story that turned out to be a healing journey for both of them.
It shows that nobody has life all figured out —not even therapists. Everyone’s on a path of constant work, which means constant growth.
I highly recommend you watch this documentary and pay attention to what jumps out at you as you watch it.

Is Bragging in Business Bad?
lundi 5 décembre 2022 • Duration 42:55
In our Elite Mind 365 program, we did a marketing workshop with our students. Steph taught them a strategy called the “client win” email strategy where you share stories of your clients’ wins.
Interestingly, this idea was met with a lot of resistance. Our students had a hard time accepting the idea of sharing their clients’ success stories, because they were afraid to come across as bragging.
For many people growing up middle class, it wasn’t okay to talk about how good you are or to brag about anything. You were actually supposed to hide the things you were good at. This exactly is why many business owners keep themselves hidden today. Even on their websites, very few people have testimonials above the fold. This is another way to stay hidden, small, and safe.
Celebrating your wins and sharing them with the right people can actually be a growth experience. And sharing your client wins is one of the most effective forms of marketing to grow your business.
In this episode, Steph and I discuss:
-
- Why social proof is the most effective form of marketing—because people can identify with the stories by saying, “I want that,” or “I don’t want that,” which then justifies their purchase
-
- How showcasing how you help people allows others to see possibility for themselves
-
- How many people didn’t get celebrated in their life as a kid growing up—instead, they were shamed, guilted, ostracized, and ridiculed for outshining others
-
- How the feeling of being confused indicates you’re in self-sabotage (a strategy your subconscious mind uses to keep you exactly where you are)
-
- Why I believe we must continually work on our self-esteem, or society will rip it apart
-
- Steph’s experience shopping on Amazon for a donut pan that had 19,000 reviews
When it comes to your products or services, you always want people to say, “Yes, I want that,” or “No, I don’t want that.” You never want them to be stuck in the middle, saying, “I don’t know what I want.”
If you’ve ever said, “I don’t want to self-promote; I don’t want to brag; I don’t want to seem conceited”…this episode is for you!
Plus, Steph, BT, and I chat about our favorite donuts and how the industry makes a ‘hole’ lot of money annually.

The Secret to Closing More Sales
lundi 28 novembre 2022 • Duration 39:56
If you want to know the secret to closing more sales and have a consistent stream of income, you need to turn sales into a discipline—an ongoing process and habit in your business.
Inconsistent sales is a systemic problem. It reflects your mindset, urgency level, and skillset around sales. It also reflects your marketing and marketing cycle. Some businesses have a short marketing cycle, while others don’t see sales until 3-6 months after they’ve completed a marketing campaign. You need to know your market and your metrics in order to understand your marketing cycle.
In today’s episode, Steph and I discuss:
-
- How business owners get too comfortable, drag their feet, and delay in setting up systems and hiring the right people (which would create consistency in sales)
-
- How people take their foot off the gas because they get distracted—and this shows up in their sales one, two, or three months down the road
-
- Why you should know how to do sales yourself, before you bring on a salesperson
-
- The two most important skills in sales—listening and knowing what questions to ask
-
- Why you should shut up during a sales conversation—and after the person answers your question, you should ask them another question
Salespeople are the highest paid profession in the world. If you’re a competent sales person, there’s no limit to how much money you can earn.
Sales is a skill that involves listening, being quiet, quieting the voice in your mind with all the chatter going on—so you can really be present and hear what this person is telling you, and then be able to think through a response that’s adequate for moving them in the direction of “yes” or “no.
It takes discipline to keep the sales machine running. Dan Kennedy said that every day, you should do at least one activity that is a future sales-generating activity. Close a sale every day. Turn this into a habit in your business.

Advice is Too Cheap
lundi 21 novembre 2022 • Duration 43:53
Advice is cheap and rampant on social media today. Many coaches and consultants are giving advice on things they’re not qualified to speak on. They’re not demonstrating results in those areas. They have no experience in what they’re speaking on, and they’re trying to teach on things they’ve never implemented, tried, tested, or used themselves. This is why advice is cheap.
The truth is, advice isn’t worth anything unless you raise your standard and change your mindset—so you can actually use the advice.
In today’s episode, Steph and I discuss:
-
- How people ask for advice and expect the person they’re asking o agree with their problem and come down to their level—but the truth is, you have to climb the ladder of achievement and discipline to rise up to THEIR level
-
- How our childhood affects our ability to distinguish between good advice and bad advice
-
- How making the wrong decisions in business and relationships can cause a lot of pain
-
- Why we teach our clients to look at life through the lens of what they want to build and create for their future vision
-
- A nasty experience I had years ago where I lost $5 million AND my email lis, because I wouldn’t spend $1300 to pay a lawyer to review a contract (I thought I could read it myself)
-
- Steph’s experience losing $100k when she tried to create a software program that nobody wanted—she didn’t do any market research, didn’t have an agreement with her developer, and went in blind, thinking she could do it all herself
Communication can be so painful for people, especially in business—to say what you want to say, ask for what you need, or ask for clarity. People are so afraid of what others will think of them—they end up giving their power away instead of asking for help and getting the correct advice.

The Hidden Meaning Behind Complaining
lundi 14 novembre 2022 • Duration 46:39
If you pay attention, you’ll start to notice that most people complain about everything. Business owners complain about their team, workload, and clients. Parents complain about their kids. Wives complain about their husbands leaving socks on the floor. While traveling, people will complain about the flight, the Uber, the hotel check-in process, or the dinner they ate last night.
Complaining is a form of communication. People do it for many reasons—to bond and connect, to feel important or significant because they have low self-esteem, or to be seen as valuable . It may be a part of the culture that someone grew up in. Why do we complain so much? And what’s behind this?
In this episode, we discuss:
-
- The difference between a complaint and verbalizing a problem—complaining has a griping, whiny energy to it; whereas verbalizing a problem allows you to find a solution and change it
-
- How complaining makes you fail to see an opportunity that’s right in front of you
-
- How complaining is a safe way to start a conversation with a stranger
-
- Why you shouldn’t assume that people who complain actually want to change or solve their problem
-
- How complaining puts you in the energy of what you DON’T want, by causing you to focus on everything you DON’T want
-
- Why you should you never speak anything into existence that you don’t wish to be in your life
-
- How to redirect yourself from complaining to getting your needs met
Plus, we discuss how our team is doing a 21-day challenge based on the book, A Complaint Free World by Will Bowen.
Everything we say or do is based on a frequency or a vibration. Complaining pushes growth away, due to the Law of Vibration. So, I challenge you to go 21 days without complaining about anything. Think about how many times you’ve complained in the last 24 hours. Do this challenge with your spouse, partner, and/or team members.
This all just comes down to effective communication —and being able to ask for what you want in a specific way.
