AHL reporter and all-around good dude Andrew Rinaldi joined us to talk about the Chicago Wolves / Carolina Hurricanes situation.

As we start season 5 of the pod, we welcome in one of Ray's best friends, Andy to the show. A Flames/Oilers guy through and through, Andy joins us to talk about his job in the NHL, to remember Johnny Gaudreau, and to talk about how the Jarvis contract could impact his beloved Oilers.

We have special guest IsleGirl3 who may be the biggest Islanders fan on the planet. She shares her story of how she became an Islanders die-hard.

Then we get into the matchups and what each of us thinks our strengths and weaknesses are for round 1.

Brad and Ray recap what has been perhaps the Canes worst month so far, can it be salvaged? Is the glass half full or half empty on that Florida OT loss? 5 on 3 woes? Say it ain't so! 2 battles against Pennsylvania on Sunday & Monday followed up by some Blue Jackets and Oilers. 

Today we were joined by caniac Haylee, a Bruins fan to start, she's a hard core Caniac now. 

We talked about her favorite player Stephen Lorentz, last week's games - is the bottle half full or half empty, trade deadline coming up - Giroux, Shatenkirk, Haylee says team chemistry > any particular player, the loss of Hamilton & Nedeljkovic (old timers vs newer fan thoughts), Ray tears up still over the Ron Francis to Pittsburgh deal, Vegas odds - Canes chance to win the cup at 10.3%, ideas for improving All Star weekend, Haylee's story about how Seth Jarvis shows he's an awesome person, and Haylee shows she's an awesome girlfriend.

Welcome to the weekend Caniacs. This week Brad and Ray discuss the All Star Weekend (for better or worse), some idea to liven up the game (Bring in the PHF All Stars!), Women's Olympic hockey has started, Raleigh is getting a stadium series game in Feb 2023, Toronto/Hurricanes is always a thrill in one Calgary household, and special thanks to last week's guests Beth & Courtney who are some seriously dedicated hockey fans, and we were thrilled we got to spend some time talking with them.

An amazing (and lengthy!) episode with 1/2 of the From Center Ice Podcast team and a writer/editor of for women's sports. We welcomed Beth and Courtney into the Storm Cellar this week to talk about the hiring of Émilie Castonguay, in general about the intersection of women and hockey (as well as women in hockey). These two passionate fans talked about the Castonguay hiring, women in hockey including Olympics, ECHL, and the PHF, as well as their perspectives of being female fans. We give out some mid-season rankings and although they're Blackhawks fans, we can all agree on some Dougie Hamilton love. If you are someone, like us, who truly wishes to see hockey grow and who thinks that hockey should be for everyone, this is the one episode of ours you should listen to.
