Discipline Now: The Freedom You Build Later
Thursday, October 22, 2026 • Duration 19:37
I want to open today with a word that most people flinch from. Discipline. Notice what happens in your body when you hear it. For a lot of us, discipline sounds like a cold room, a locked door, a life of saying no to everything we want. It sounds like a cage. And so we run from it. We chase the opposite. We chase ease, comfort, the freedom to do whatever we feel like in the moment. But here is the twist I want to spend the next twenty minutes or so unfolding with you, because it is one of the most important reversals in all of ancient thought. The people who chase freedom by avoiding discipline end up the least free of anyone. And the people who embrace discipline, who lean into it on purpose, end up walking through life like they own the place. Discipline now is the freedom you build later. That is the whole arc of today, and I promise you, it is practical. This is a field manual, not a sermon.

Turn Pressure Into Your Sharpest Weapon
Saturday, October 17, 2026 • Duration 16:24
Let me put a question in front of you, and I want you to hold onto it as we go. What if the very pressure you have been running from is the exact thing that could make you stronger, clearer, and more capable than you have ever been? Sit with that. Because that is not a motivational slogan. That is a practice, and it is one that people have been sharpening for almost two thousand years.

Master Fear Before It Masters You
Monday, October 12, 2026 • Duration 19:18
Let me start with a question, and I want you to sit with it for a moment before you answer. What would you attempt this week if you knew fear could not stop you? Not the reckless, throw-caution-to-the-wind kind of action, but the calm, deliberate kind. The move you keep circling back to. The conversation you keep rehearsing but never having. The pitch you keep polishing but never sending. Hold that image in your mind, because today we are going to talk about fear, and more importantly, we are going to talk about how you master it before it masters you.
Here is the truth that almost two thousand years of Stoic thinking keeps handing us, generation after generation. Fear is not the enemy. Fear is a messenger. And when you learn to read the message instead of running from the messenger, everything changes. Your decisions get sharper. Your leadership gets steadier. Your body relaxes when it used to tighten. That is what we are building toward in the next fifteen minutes or so, and I promise you, this is practical. This is not a lecture about dusty old men in togas. This is a field manual for your Monday morning.

Unshakeable: The Stoic Path to Strength in 2026
Wednesday, October 7, 2026 • Duration 20:50
In this episode, I’m going to walk you through how Stoic resilience works in real time: how to separate what you control from what you don’t, how to regulate emotional impulses before they hijack your decisions, how to anchor yourself when the world around you is shaking, and how to build a mindset that doesn’t crumble under pressure.
This is the Stoic path to strength not someday, not theoretically, but right now, in the middle of 2026.

The Ancient Operating System for Modern Life
Friday, October 2, 2026 • Duration 20:26
Why Operating Systems Matter
I chose the metaphor of an operating system for this episode deliberately, and I want to explain why before we get into the philosophy. An operating system is not a specific app. It's not a productivity tool or a habit tracker or a morning routine. It's the underlying layer that determines how everything else runs. When the OS is functioning well, everything on top of it works better. When the OS is corrupted or outdated or running on assumptions that no longer match reality, everything on top of it becomes unstable and unreliable, even if the individual apps look fine from the outside.
Most people I know have apps without an OS. They have specific techniques — they meditate, they journal, they take cold showers, they read self-help books, they optimize their schedules. But they don't have a coherent underlying framework that determines what they value, how they make decisions, how they relate to failure and success, and what kind of person they're actually trying to become. Without that framework, the techniques float free. They work for a while and then they stop working and you don't know why, so you download another technique, and the cycle repeats.

Stillness as a Superpower
Sunday, September 27, 2026 • Duration 19:58
In a year defined by volatility, noise, and nonstop demands, I’ve learned that stillness is one of the rarest — and most powerful — skills any of us can develop. In this episode of The Stoic’s Guide Podcast, I explore Stillness as a Superpower as a tactical advantage in 2026, and why calm, deliberate thinking isn’t just helpful… it’s transformative.
Modern life is engineered to hijack your attention. Endless notifications. Emotional triggers. Algorithm‑driven urgency. The pressure to react instantly. Most people are living in a state of mental turbulence, making decisions from stress instead of strength. But the Stoics understood something timeless: stillness isn’t the absence of movement — it’s the presence of control. It’s the ability to pause before reacting, to think clearly under pressure, and to respond with intention instead of impulse.
In this episode, I talk about how Marcus Aurelius wrote in the middle of war, how Seneca advised leaders during political chaos, and how Epictetus taught resilience from personal hardship. None of them lived quiet lives. They lived turbulent ones. And they built a philosophy that allowed them to stay centered inside the storm — the same storm we’re all navigating today.
I break down how stillness sharpens judgment, strengthens emotional discipline, and becomes a competitive advantage in leadership, relationships, decision‑making, and personal growth. I share practical ways to build stillness into your daily operating system — grounding techniques, mental reframing, controlled breathing, and the Stoic practice of separating what you can control from what you can’t.
This episode is about reclaiming your mind in a year that constantly tries to steal it — and recognizing that in 2026, calm isn’t weakness. Calm is power. Calm is clarity. Calm is the superpower that makes you unshakeable.

The Stoic Blueprint for a Chaotic World
Tuesday, September 22, 2026 • Duration 20:11

Listeners will learn how these timeless strategies align with current research in psychology and resilience — and how they can be applied daily to create clarity, stability, and strength.
This episode is a practical guide for anyone seeking to stay grounded when life feels unpredictable. By blending ancient wisdom with modern challenges, The Stoic Blueprint for a Chaotic World shows how calm isn’t something you find — it’s something you build.

Stoicism in the Age of Overload
Thursday, September 17, 2026 • Duration 15:18
I want to start with something I've been sitting with for a while. There is more information hitting my brain in a single morning than a Roman senator would have encountered in a month. I'm not exaggerating that. I'm not being dramatic for the sake of a podcast hook. That's just the actual reality of what we're navigating right now. And the thing is, nobody really warned us that this would happen. Nobody handed us a user manual for the information environment we currently live inside of.
When I started seriously reading the Stoics — and I mean really reading them, not just pulling Marcus Aurelius quotes for Instagram — I noticed something that surprised me. These people were not living in a quiet world. Rome at its height was chaotic, politically violent, economically unstable, and full of gossip and noise. Seneca wrote letters from within a culture that was drowning in spectacle. Marcus Aurelius wrote his private journal while running military campaigns. Epictetus was a former enslaved person navigating one of the most brutal institutions in human history. These were not people writing from mountaintop retreats. They were writing from inside the storm.
That's why I think Stoicism hits differently in 2026 than it might have twenty years ago. We're not looking for a philosophy that helps us optimize a comfortable life. We're looking for something that helps us function when everything is loud, when the notifications never stop, when every platform is architecturally designed to keep your nervous system in a low-grade state of alarm. The Stoics were solving for that exact problem. Just in a different century.

The Stoic Blueprint for a Chaotic World
Saturday, September 12, 2026 • Duration 15:57
Today, we’re breaking down The Stoic Blueprint for a Chaotic World , not as ancient philosophy, but as a tactical framework for modern life. A blueprint for thinking clearly when everything around you is engineered to pull you off center. A blueprint for staying grounded when the world is shaking. A blueprint for choosing your response instead of being dragged by your reactions.
The Stoics didn’t promise calm lives. They promised strong minds. And in a time where chaos is the default setting, strength isn’t optional — it’s survival.

Living With Virtue: The One Thing That Was Always the Point
Monday, September 7, 2026 • Duration 19:31
Let me start with a question, and I want you to be honest with yourself, because nobody hears your answer but you. If everything you were chasing suddenly vanished, the money, the status, the approval of the people whose opinions you care about most, what would be left of you? Strip all of it away, and what remains? Sit with that for a second. Because whatever remains when everything external is gone, that is the real you. That is your character. And the Stoics believed, with their whole hearts, that this one thing, your character, was the only thing that ever truly mattered.
