A stranger washes ashore on a remote island monastery off the Welsh coast. As the monks of Ynys Mynach offer shelter, historian Nia Vaughan begins to uncover unsettling secrets hidden within the ancient walls. Some doors were closed for a reason. Some bells were never meant to ring.
