If you're like me, you're Intuitive, Empathetic, Emotional & Loving... Spiritually oriented & maybe have faced a lot of rejection.

I sought Love in relationship after relationship, gradually turning towards spirit and God more & more ~

but my needs still were not met.

I hadn't learned that I was worthy of Love or that I deserved a lasting relationship.

I didn't know how to get my emotional & material needs met by the outer world.

No matter how hard I tried I kept ending up broke & hurt.

It was really difficult to have self-esteem or shift my Identity regardless of circumstances -

when my circumstances were dire.

I had a lot of Trauma & unprocessed emotion. Deep down I was very wounded and I did not have a lot of support.

The process I share in today's podcast pulls from the most powerful pathways & practices that I learned in that prolonged suffering & where I did not gain much ground.

My Hope is this practice gives you a very potent push forward -

so that you don't stay Feeling negatively about yourself as long as I did.

but how??? If you'd been in some of the relationships I was, this is a bit confronting.

Not only were the relationships very painful but in healing Old Wounds were uncovered in multiple other relationships!

I believe our subconscious is attracting us these lessons to help us evolve our soul.

How do you know when to cut ties and run? 

Is the person just a narcissist?

or Are you being tempted by the complete Vindication & setting yourself free? 

Today's passage from A Course In Miracles refers to our sense of what the means are to create balance in a relationship.

The teaching shows that the means for personal peace are available to us . You can heal, transform and evolve without needing to change anybody. Judging, blaming, and cutting them off may imprison us more.

*sidenote - personal Peace allows detachment from outcome, allows this person to take the place in your life that's most empowering for you. It does not make them who you want them to be.

Sometimes we see someone that we think is our friend & they blow us off and it really gets to you!  

Sometimes we can't get past a conflict we're having with a close friend or family member, even though we want a relationship with them. 

Other times we're just in a funk and a rut. 

It's at times like these that I find a good, deep, powerful Truth can kick me out of a rut.

The way to practice the truth in today's episode is to repeat the phrase–

“I do not know the thing I am, and therefore do not know what I am doing, where I am, or how to look upon the world or on myself.”

Here's how to know.

When it comes from Fear it's the ego   

The ego becomes ignited when trying togetsomething.  We want towin.  We try to control things so that they'll work out the way we desire.       

The underlying fear is that it means something about you if you don'tget orwin this person, 

like ~ You're not worthy, you're not special, you're not beautiful, you're not desirable.           

When love comes from how good it feels to be chosen and feel special~ it's egoic love.

because love is unconditional.

he doesn't have to want you back, 

he doesn't have to have a certain type of relationship with you,

he doesn't have to do a certain thing at a certain time,

and his body doesn't have to only belong with your body.

Hold on! I'm not saying go run out and Unconditionally Love in all of your relationships to solve for this - relationships are conditional.

When it's love you are whole and complete,

not separate from anything, especially love itself.

You are love and he is love too, but we decide to do this fearful thing.

this thing based in the ego & fear 

And what we create from that only confronts us in the long run with our own ego and fear 

that's what to expect if you're swept up in this

Romantic relationships are egoic love.

I'll never forget the first time I connected with my Inner child. 

At the time I felt very lost and was seeking answers. I'd heard of inner child healing & suddenly, one day I had a vision of her.

She was seated at the bottom of a well, her legs tucked up & her face buried in her knees. She was so sad,

lost & forgotten.

It was like she had been completely left behind & It was the first time that I was able to show up for her

1 of the teachings (not ACIM) I share in today's podcast is: we prefer what we like and avoid what we don't, 

yet it all serves.

This teaching actually does what another 1 of the teachings shared today from A Course In Miracles: 

if you choose to hand your relationship over the Holy Spirit to make it holy rather than special (you learn more about this in the episode) You will allow God to remove as much fear As you will let him.

This treadmill of trying to get your relationships to work, to get your relationships to be good, to stay together & for it to work…

A lot comes from how completely averse we are to what we consider the “failure of a relationship” 

So the knowledge that all of this serves us even though we prefer what we like and don't prefer what we don't, knowing that we are here for the evolution of our soul, first and foremost helps to relieve some fear.

There are so many teachings in this podcast, like that special relationships are not based on changeless Love alone so we have allowed fear to enter and we and we use special relationships to prop up the ego and support the idea of separation, so the Holy Spirit uses relationships to teach us the Truth about Love.  You just have to listen.

We'll revisit these concepts in future episodes, so don't feel pressured to figure everything out right now!

Have you ever tried to stop judging others? You may have noticed your brain makes snap judgments, before you have any conscious control. This episode gives you an effective tool to combat that.

There is definitely a relationship between how critical we are of ourself, and how critical we are of others-

 when I see a woman with white hair I think: "she's old"

 when I ask God to judge her for me I think: "she's a happy lady"

‘old’ is my judgment/fear projected. If anything, we should judge people based on how happy they are.
