| Quitting Alcohol vs. Cutting Back | 06 Mar 2025 | 00:22:51 | |
Quitting was the easiest thing I've ever done (or at least way easier than any other "cutting back" strategies I tried. Some have the luxury of moderating their alcohol, but for me, it was never going to be possible. I realized I was either going to be 100% on or 100% off, and I'm so glad that I decided to be 100% off after almost 1.5 years of battling with the idea of quitting. In today's episode, we discuss failing at "cutting back," different "cutting back" strategies, and why quitting once & for all will set you free. Connect with the host here. | "WHY DON'T YOU DRINK?" ...how to answer this question | 04 Mar 2025 | 00:21:54 | |
"Why don't you drink?" When you go from being a heavy drinker to a non-drinker, you're bound to get some questions from friends, family, and unfortunately... strangers too. I find it really helpful to have some go-to answers prepared for this question, so you can avoid any uncomfortable situations or unwanted conversations. In today's episode, I provide LOTS specific examples for how you could answer this question, so I hope you find a couple that resonate with you that you can use in your future conversations. Of course, we get sober for ourselves and don't owe anyone an explanation, but for me, it was comforting to have a rehearsed answer for this very commonly asked question, especially in early sobriety. As always, feel free to DM me or leave a comment!
