Part of the long running Nobunaga's Ambition franchise, this game uses some alternative history where Nobunaga did not die in 1582 but instead continued his campaign to conquer all of Japan. You play a young ninja whose clan was destroyed by Nobunaga, and you must train up and gather experience and learn your ninja arts, then use diplomacy to get other rulers to attack and weaken Nobunaga so you can storm his castle to get your revenge! Developed by Factor 5 who would go on to make the Star Wars Rogue Squadron games and using the same engine as the Super Star Wars games, you play Indie in a platformer based off the original movies, you control Indie as he whips, shoots, jumps, and rolls through numerous stages. We discuss how the game plays and how faithful it is to the movies, the graphics and music, and how it holds up today. Developed by Quintet (the company behind Actraiser) and published by Enix, this game got little attention when released due to timing and the fact it was made in Japan as a 'kids game'.
