Matt Strahm, LHP for the Philadelphia Phillies, has not had an easy path to success. Low fastball velo, injuries, and setbacks were all part of the road bumps he hit before reaching the majors. And even after his debut, it hasn't been rainbows and butterflies.

But he was able to overcome those obstacles to sign a $15 million 2-year deal with the Phillies and has become one of the better left-handed pitchers in today's game.
