In this episode Sam and Steve look at the world of wedding fairs.  Many of their wedding photography bookings come about as a result of having met couples at wedding shows. Sam and Steve discuss wedding fairs from both the perspective of couples looking for wedding suppliers, and also why wedding suppliers should aim to exhibit at fairs if possible.  Sam talks though 10 reasons why couples should attend a number of wedding fairs when planning their wedding. Steve has 10 "do's and don't" for suppliers looking to make the best of the investment of exhibiting at a wedding fair.

Today's guest interview is with Noa Davies, a talented, experienced and highly professional Wedding, Event and Session Harpist, who has recently moved into the Oxfordshire area. 
She tells Steve:

• How many years of study are required to get to her level
• What a harp costs to buy (a lot!)
• What kind of events she plays at
• Why a couple should consider a harpist for their wedding.

In this episode, our guest interviewee is Sophie McCavery, who is a Kinesiology Practitioner.  Systematic Kinesiology  is a unique holistic approach to natural health care that uses simple muscle testing procedures to read the energetic bio feedback system from our bodies. Sophie is also Sam's sister!

Sophie tells Steve how Kinesiology can help with non disease common health problems such as skin issues, stress and anxiety.

Steve also tells Sam about his new internet radio show on Incapable Staircase, the Steve Vaughan Rock and Prog Show.  We give a brief review of our new Sony A74 camera, and as always Sam is back with the latest green fingers update on Allotment Avenue.

Sam and Steve celebrate their 20th wedding wedding anniversary with a life recording of the show on a beach in Devon.  Discussed in the show are the new Sony A74, playing football with 7 players called Steve, Michelin starred dining and why photographers and brides to be should go to wedding fairs. Allotment Avenue is back with more handy gardening tips from Sam. 

Steve's guest interviewee is Ray Sawyer, a multi award winning documentary and creative flash photographer based near Newcastle in the north England. In his 2nd appearance on the show, Ray tells Steve:

After a busy summer of wedding photography, Sam and Steve are back with series 2 of their wedding and photography podcast.  Their guest interview is with Agnese Petraglia of Medusa London who designs and makes beautiful wedding dresses out of sustainable materials.
For the photographers, Sam and Steve discuss their experiences of using Sony Alpha Mirrorless cameras, 1 year and 40 plus weddings since switching from Fujifilm kit.
Sam also talks about her new love - a kitchen gadget! A new feature for the show, Allotment Avenue, gives Sam the opportunity to update the listener on her latest horticultural adventures in her allotment garden.

A brief update from Steve as to the lack of recent episodes, and advanced notice of our plans for a series 2 of the Sam and Steve Podcast coming in the Autumn. 

In this weeks episode Steve's interview guest is Amy Bremner, of Amersham based Bubbles and Bakes cakes.

Steve and Sam discuss the latest steps towards lifting Covid restrictions here in the UK, and the impact on weddings for the summer. Steve also describes a recent wedding he photographed and videoed where only 6 people were allowed in the ceremony room - and he wasn't one of them!

Sam and Steve also discuss the Sony A7C, a compact full frame interchangeable lens camera they recently rented, and whether it would be a good choice for them.  Steve also describes being a podcast guest himself, on the Fujicast, and Photography Daily.

In this week's episode, Steve interviews Marie Lloyd. Marie is an Cheshire/North Wales based wedding photographer with over 300 wedding photographed so far. She tells Steve:

Steve tells Sam about a recent live stream of a wedding with guests watching his YouTube feed in the churchyard, and how he coped with no phone or internet signal!  We also discuss the Sony A7C and why we are renting one for a week, the latest news as the UK moves a step further out of lockdown and of course we get an update from Sam's allotment.

As of this episode, the show will be moving to a twice a month cadence for the summer, as we have hectic schedule of weddings and editing!
