Eman Esfandi's Journey to Ezra Bridgers and the Power of 24hr Coffee Shops

mardi 8 octobre 2024Duration 01:51:15

Hi everyone! In this episode, I am so excited today because I am talking to Ezra Bridger himself from Ahsoka, aka Eman Esfandi! You guys, Eman is so sweet and genuine. We dive into everything from how spirituality plays a huge role in his life, to the wild story of how Ezra quite literally found him. Eman talks about growing up with immigrant parents, pivoting from tennis dreams to acting, and how he almost quit the industry before landing in the Star Wars universe. Plus, we get into his music career as DragonWulf and how following his joy helped him manifest all the great things that have happened to him. I love this episode so much. Eman is so honest and has lived a lot of lives at only 27 years old. You’re going to love it. Remember to stick around to the hindsight where my producer Jeph and I discuss the episode and try not to get me canceled. We also respond to your comments and emails in the Mail Sack! Bear McCreary on Creating Battlestar’s Soundtrack and His Journey into Music

Episode 46

mardi 1 octobre 2024Duration 01:41:59

Hey, everyone! Today, I'm very excited to talk with my good friend and one of the most talented composers I’ve ever met, Bear McCreary! Not only was he the composer for Battlestar Galactica, but he has gone on to work on shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Black Sails, Outlander, The Walking Dead,  and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.  We first met when we were both little babies on Battlestar. I was surprised to find out I wasn’t the only young person on the crew - Bear was the composer at only 24! Today, we're diving deep into his career, how he got interested in music, landed the Battlestar gig, and what he’s working on these days. Which speaking of, Bear just released his new double album and graphic novel project, “The Singularity”. If you like heavy metal and music like Guns and Roses then you’re going to love this because Slash literally plays on this album.  Also, find out how Bear came up with that iconic All Along the Watchtower Battlestar remix and how he convinced me to play it with him live on stage and might again soon! Stick around for the hindsight where I force my producer to listen to me talk about carpet beetles, bed bugs, parasitic wasps, and all that fun stuff. Simon Kassianides on Mandalorian, ASMR and being in a gang

Episode 37

My guest this week is my dear friend from The Mandalorian (and you may also know him from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or James Bond)! In classic fashion, our conversation ranges from ASMR and Mando, to Simon’s past life as a DJ and gang member... That’s what’s up. Simon Pegg Nerds out on Mission Impossible, Star Trek, and Broken Bones

Episode 36

mardi 23 juillet 2024Duration 01:29:04

You know this week’s guest from Shaun of the Dead, Mission Impossible, Star Trek, and much much more. I can’t understate how immensely cool Simon Pegg is, so I’ll simply say that he is a very rare member of the sci-fi trifecta club (Star Wars, Star Trek and Dr. Who), which we discuss in this episode, and a fact of which I am equally impressed by and envious of. As always, stick around for the hindsight, and that’s what’s up! Produced by Rabbit Grin Productions Mail Sack Song by Nicolas @producer_sniffles

Ashley Eckstein talks The Force, Ahsoka, and Female Star Wars fans

Episode 35

mardi 16 juillet 2024Duration 02:01:03

Guys, it’s Ahsoka herself – actor Ashley Eckstein, AKA The voice of Ahsoka Tano on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Rebels, and Forces of Destiny, and much more. We talk about her beautiful perspective on connecting with fans at conventions, the Force, and female fans Star Wars being bullied. As always, stick around for the hindsight, where I get asked about a Tarantino role that never came to be, that I’m still a little salty about. That’s what’s up! Michael Trucco on Battlestar Galactica, House of Usher and Near-Fatal Crash

Episode 34

mardi 9 juillet 2024Duration 02:14:14

You know this week’s guest from Battlestar Galactica, How I Met Your Mother, or his insanely good performance on The Fall of the House of Usher, but to me, he is first and foremost my beloved work-husband ... it’s Michael Trucco! We discuss Michael growing up the son of a police officer, a near-fatal car crash that altered his perspective on life, our time together on BSG and much more. As always, stick around for the hindsight where we read some crazy animal facts. Produced by Rabbit Grin Productions Mail Sack Song by Nicolas @producer_sniffles

Mike Flanagan’s favorite films, alcohol struggles, and thoughts on horror genre

Episode 33

mardi 2 juillet 2024Duration 02:15:15

My guest this week is arguably the most influential person in horror at this moment in time!! Mike Flanagan is the man behind Hill House, Fall of Usher, Oculus (where I had the pleasure of working with him), Doctor Sleep and much more. If you’re at all interested in the movie and television industry or the horror genre, this is not one to miss. And of course, I answer your lovely questions in the hindsight section. Robert Taylor on Longmire revival prospects and intimacy coordinators

Episode 32

mardi 25 juin 2024Duration 01:55:30

You asked, and here he is. Robert Taylor is not only my co-star from Longmire, but a dear friend and one of my favorite people to talk with. We discuss the prospects of bringing Longmire back to TV screens, the pros and cons of intimacy coordinators, whether it’s OK to compliment someone’s (my) ass, how he stumbled his way into an amazing acting career, and much more. Stick around to the end for the hindsight where I answer your questions. That’s what’s up! Produced by Rabbit Grin Productions Mail Sack Song by Nicolas @producer_sniffles

Hey you guys! Today i bring another pal from the Mandalorian-universe: Tait Fletcher, who you'll probably also recognize from Breaking Bad, John Wick or the new Jumanji. We talk about the on-set head injury that turned his life upside down, and a bunch more. As always, stick around for the hindsight where I talk about much sillier things and answer your emails. Katy O'Brian on path to Mandalorian, law enforcement career, and bodybuilding

Episode 30

mardi 11 juin 2024Duration 02:22:23

I was super excited to talk to today's guest, and she did not disappoint. You know her from The Mandalorian (where she played Elia Kane), or maybe from Ant-Man and the Wasp or her new film Love Lies Bleeding. It's Katy O'Brian, and that's what's up!
