Shadow Monster
Saturday, October 12, 2019 • Duration 01:02:03
Shadow Monster is an angsty and loud duo from Bushwick, Brooklyn. Gillian Visco’s gritty, dissonant and desperate guitar riffs meet with John Swanson’s epic and explosive drumming style to form a raw and moody version of grunge rock. Lyrically, Shadow Monster explores themes of loss, depression and isolation. For fans of Elliott Smith, Waxahatchee, Nirvana, Helium.

Girls On Grass
Saturday, October 5, 2019 • Duration 01:01:55
Great time hanging with Barbara in the RFB studio. "Dirty Power" is definitely an album that you need to make room for in your collection. Great songs with great lyrics that's all entirely relatable.
"Barbara Endes writes and sings these melodic bursts of punchy roots-punk-surf-rockabilly complete with vocal harmonies, the bluesy guitar of David Weiss, and the skin tight rhythm section of bassist Dave Mandl (yeah, the guy on WFMU) and drummer Nancy Polstein... I keep looking for new rock bands to like with little or no success. I think I found one." - Aquarian Weekly

Cancion & the Family Band
Saturday, September 28, 2019 • Duration 01:02:49
Cancion and the Family Band are now in residence at the iconic 11th Street Bar in the heart of Manhattan’s East Village. They play every second Tuesday of the month to a growing fanbase. The 11th Street Bar is a great place to have a drink and listen to music so please make sure that you make it out and catch one of their sets before the year is over. I've had the opportunity to see the band perform live twice and they've been very good both times.
I sat down to talk with the members of the band about the pros and cons of playing a residency, their latest release, "Stone For Stone", and what exactly is Americana music.
