Strike still on? Yep, strike's still on.

Yet another strike special! We're standing in solidarity and reflecting on what brings us joy. Big love to everyone on the picket lines, and our Riverdale Gang listeners waiting patiently for us to return to our regularly scheduled programming.

This week on not talking about struck content, Ryan and Chloe talk about our first hand experiences in and around Vancouver filmmaking, and break down the unreasonable and exploitative job conditions that we've been indoctrinated to accept as normal.

Per SAG-AFTRA's podcasting guidelines, no watch-alongs until the strike is done! We indulge in a brief ramble about labour action and politics, and we'll see you next week.

This week is a two-parter! In light of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, we interviewed local actor Annette Reilly, Diana Spellman of the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, to give her perspective on being an actor in a union, and on how the strike is affecting film workers in Vancouver. In the second half, we talk about how it is impossible to do feminism outside of the broken container of patriarchy in Riverdale's knock-out beauty pageant episode.

The Bulldogs go to bat - or hoop - for Reggie, while Mary Andrews is finally the parent Betty and Veronica need. But what's next for Riverdale?

Big acting and fast cars, we get hints of George Lucas's film, along with a murder solving romance and the Black Athena bookclub.

And now for an anthology of short stories, teaching vital moral lessons, like 'don't be horny, or a nerd, or a woman.'

Gee willikers, it sure is the 50s! Riverdale returns to it's tropes, stages our ensemble, and sets up a hard shift to Horror

Percival explains it all, and Surprise! He's settler colonialism and catholic guilt in a trenchcoat. Jughead and Tabitha see things. Real stakes, higher than we've seen since Midge Klump? A penultimate tour de force that ties the whole season together.

This penultimate penultimate sees our stakes shoot through the roof with seven plagues upon this wicked little town.

It's the musical episode? Sorta not really, but it is a fine bit of plot that bring Betty, Cheryl, and Unions to the spotlight

Riverdale is d e l i v e r i ng. We take a left turn into sorcery and dig into the characters' trauma, with a dark, bookish twist.

Say what you like about Riverdale, but this show really knows how to move between genres. In this episode of two-handers, the show delivers on several emotional sweet spots. Ryan and Chloe discuss.

A tour of Riverdale's history, complete with exploding angels, Tabitha's secret power, and the beginning of season 6's endgame.

All right - super strength, aggression aura, mind-reading, and now firecasting? The Riverdale roller coaster continues to unfold, with a great sneak-attack plot re-focus on Tabitha!

Witchy rituals bump up against superpower mysteries in this rich genre mash-up. We're here for the ride!

Well, Riverdale Gang, we think that the superhero genre is working for Riverdale. What bets have we got on the origins of Percival Pickens?

Superhero is the new genre in Riverdale! A solid episode with great beats and fun surprises. Big thanks to our listener Jonathan Powell who let us know that we are indeed getting a 22-episode season!

... is this a superhero story now? Ryan and Chloe are not sure, but we ARE sure that we're glad to be back, Riverdale Gang!

The payoff is huge, buds. This is one damn fun episode of television. Watch it. No, seriously - watch it.

We love this witchy, thoughtful, cohesive episode! Posting a little late due to some technical difficulties. Thanks for bearing with us!

The Devil comes to Riverd/vale and really, we are just not sure what to say.

Well, one thing you can say about Riverdale, is that they always deliver the unexpected. (Except when they don't, good point). La Llorona, the spectre of an abusive driving teacher, and a linger unhappy couple come to call. Ryan and Chloe discuss.

Going where no Riverdale has gone before - except, they kinda did already? Chloe drops in for a brief chat while Ryan discusses with guest-host and Thunderquack favourite, Amanda Konkin.

Here we are, pals! Riverdale sends us off with a slam-bang finish, complete with witch burnings, exile, and a heady mix of gangland and municipal politics. See you next season and thanks so much for sticking with us through another season of this wonderful dark sugar trash milkshake of a show.

Next to normal is not how we'd ever describe Riverdale - but they get there this week. Just a little grief, a little romance, and some lovingly belted show tunes.

Friends, this was one solid episode of Riverdale. Mothmen become Blossoms, and the four elements and a ghost army save some miners. You know, the usual.

A solid episode of Riverdale with Chloe flying the Riverdale Gang ship solo this week. Cults, war memories, and plagiarism collide as we catch up with our five main characters.
