Nosferatu (1922)
Season 4 · Episode 12
mardi 31 octobre 2023 • Duration 58:15
We're back with a mini Fall Outbreak. It has been a while so Travis and Dan made George watch two black and white vampire classics for the spooky season. The episode was darn near two hours long so here is Part 1.
And a word of warning... this one goes to dark places by the end.
Hope you missed us as much as we missed you!
Nope (2022)
Season 4 · Episode 11
mercredi 19 avril 2023 • Duration 01:17:08
The Alienation of George continues (see what we did there?) with 2022's Nope. A movie best seen rather than described. So make sure you see it prior to listening to this episode.
Contained within this episode is a perfect example of the Travis Arc. Yes, George will learn and come to better understand the movie he just watched. But so will Travis. Sometimes, things just fall right into place.
Oh and Dan is here too!

Edward Scissorhands (1990)
Season 4 · Episode 2
mercredi 11 janvier 2023 • Duration 57:26
Spoiler Alert: Dan and Travis were laughing so hard by the end of this episode that Dan nearly puked. You had to be there (but you will be there if you listen... so listen?)
2023 continues with one last dose of Burton... the iconic Edward Scissorhands (which Dan has never seen either).
Stick around to hear Travis's impression of The Fly and Dan fall down a dag-gum well. Why do we fall, George? To make George see the movies he missed!

Poltergeist (1982)
Season 2 · Episode 22
mercredi 16 juin 2021 • Duration 01:01:16
George wasn't sure if he was watching a demonic possession movie or a ghost movie this week. Either way... he was bound to get what he was after. We watched Poltergeist from 1982 and while we my have moved the tombstones... did we move the bodies?
How would a youthful Travis or George have reacted to be a child in a theater in 1982? Will Parent-Travis love the movie as much as Child-Travis and Adult-Travis has over all these years? Will Dan mince words when it comes to how he feels about the internet theory that all of this is a drug induced hallucination?

The Thing (1982)
Season 2 · Episode 21
mercredi 9 juin 2021 • Duration 01:14:58
George has seen Halloween. Is he ready for John Carpenter's take on Sci-Fi horror splatter? Dan made George watch two movies this week. The Thing From Another World (1951) and the much more well-known remake (and one of Travis's favorite movies) The Thing (1982).
Will George figure out what the F he just watched? Or does he need another prescription for Morning Hollywood? Did Travis ever find resolution in his struggles with the upside down head spider? Will Dan's theory on Tentpole Film Scoring hold any water?

12 Monkeys (1995)
Season 2 · Episode 20
mercredi 2 juin 2021 • Duration 01:04:04
Wait, it has only been a week since the last RFCP episode... Did this show just go WEEKLY!? It did, indeed.
Travis takes the lead this week, showing both George and Dan a film they've never seen, and one which is near and dear to his heart: Bruce Willis time-traveling to prevent a pandemic that kills most of the world. Just the kind of lightweight fair you would expect from the director of Monty Python and the Holy Grail...
How will George react to Brad Pitt howling like a monkey in the back of a school bus? Will Travis convince the guys that this movie is on par with Se7en (1995)? Will Dan find room in his biased little heart to look past the unexplained pseudoscience and convenient technological cherry picking to love a Sci-Fi movie with more drool than detail?

28 Days Later (2002)
Season 2 · Episode 19
mercredi 26 mai 2021 • Duration 56:59
Spring OUTbreak is over and George is all done with zombies... OR IS HE? We get him back on track to the mainstream with a little independent British classic... about zombies. But, like, fast zombies that don't want your brains they are just REALLY MAD at you.
Will George pitch a fit at fast zombies? Did Travis accidentally watch I Am Legend (2007) and is just trying to play it off? Did Dan just offset a Greek Mythology lesson with a joke so horrible it shocked George and rendered Travis speechless?

Night of the Living Dead (1990)
Season 2 · Episode 18
vendredi 21 mai 2021 • Duration 54:10
George had a rough go of the original Night of the Living Dead. "Black and white? What is this, an Absolutist Pythagorean Dualism in video format!?" (he seemed to ask, while casting a wanting gaze at the nuanced relativism of the enlightened Kantian palette of The Walking Dead.) (At least, that is how Dan remembers it...)
Will George overcome his hesitation with the iconic 1968 Night to keep an open mind and heart with the 1990 remake? Is it safe to keep your organs exposed in a zombie crisis? Will Travis really bounce his head off of a hard rock just to make Dan shut up? Will Dan ever discover the source of the mysterious stringy jetsam? And does anyone succeed at "keeping things straight!"?

Return of the Living Dead (1985)
Season 2 · Episode 17
mercredi 19 mai 2021 • Duration 51:42
George loves Shaun of the Dead, so he was in for a treat when he sat down for the first time to watch the 80's comedy zombie classic, Return of the Living Dead. And then Tom Savini shows up?
Is George falling for another zombie comedy? Can Travis survive a roasting from his idol? Why is Dan desperately seeking a medium? (Answers. Dan is seeking a medium so he can get answers.)

Day of the Dead (1985)
Season 2 · Episode 16
vendredi 14 mai 2021 • Duration 01:05:39
George and the guys are back on solid American soil with the third George Romero zombie classic, Day of the Dead. This time around George and Travis's eyes light up to see the name Greg Nicotero, the gore master and director of AMC's The Walking Dead TV series, in the credits.
Can George contain his rampant excitement for all things Nicotero? Does he have Greg's dialog memorized? Can Travis convince Dan that the Mummers are a legitimate form of entertainment? Is Dan wearing a Metallica T-Shirt while recording this episode? Answers within! All comers welcome.
