The gworls are back! A little bit of a delayed one, but Leo and Nesu start off by discussing how summer has been and the art of striking the balance between enjoying outside and not overdoing it and getting some rest.

The duo discuss the art of the rewatch and unpack some shows they’ve tapped into during the Bravo ‘off season’, and touch on how the dying concept of teenagehood has resulted in a loss of a great genre of TV shows catered to teenagers and young adults.

They close off with a recap of RHODubai and how so much changed in such a short space of time; while briefly closing with their thoughts on the reunion looks.

You asked, and they delivered! Leo and Nesu dive right back in, as they reminisce on how they were first introduced to Afrobeats, and the drawbacks that have come with recent linkups between Southern and West African artists on some remixes of already popular songs.

Jumping over to how they’re doing, they open up about recent experiences with getting older, and how friendship dynamics just seem to change without cause. The topic of friendships continue, as they discuss the cracks beginning to show in Lesa and Chanel’s friendship on the sophomore season of the Real Housewives of Dubai.

For their last/holiday episode of 2023, Big IK joins Leo and Nesu, and Christmas is on the brain as they start with how they’re doing, as well as trying to get into the Christmas spirit a few days before the big day. They do the usual Pass/Drop the Mic (15:00), sharing their thoughts on what’s stood out for them, for good reasons or bad. In recapping what they’ve been watching recently (42:22), they also point out anything that’s stood out to them on tv at the moment. The Real Housewives of Lagos (54:00) is the last thing to be dissected in this episode. As they conclude their second season, the trio discuss it and think of what the future of the show could look like.

Your favourite duo is back and kick- off with a check-in, followed by what their New Year’s resolutions for the podcast are. Next on the agenda is BravoCon 2024 (39:28) and the two talk about their ultimate ‘CHOPS’ from the convention. The conversation switches to the new seasons of RHOP and the Married to Medicine (58:44), where the two discuss their views of the season premieres. 

Leo and Nesu kick off with the usual check-in, and jump right back in like they never left. The recent spate of high profile breakups (22:01) is on Nesu's mind, followed by this week's 'Pass the Mic' (34:55), which gets the two digging into all things Kerry Washington as well as Beyoncé, and the impact of the Renaissance World Tour as it comes to an end. The conversation switches to the new season of RHOSLC (01:03:16) and the RHONY reboot, and both have noticed a similar theme that seems to emerge on both shows, before finally reminiscing on Scandal (01:20:02), as everyone seems to be in their rewatch era.

It’s been a long time and we shouldn’t have left you without a dope beat to step to, but the gworls are back! Leo and Nesu start off by doing a check-in and sharing  an update on where they’ve been, how they’re doing and what’s been going on. The pair go straight into discussing some pop culture topics including cancel culture, the viral Carlos King interviews with Nene Leakes and Kenya Moore (00:36:00). They then segue into giving a recap of what they believe has been the worst season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta (01:09:41), and exchange opinions on who they think needs the chop as well as what they think production should consider for the upcoming season. 

Today marks the season 1 finale of the Reality Check Pod and Leo and Nesu are so excited to get into let week's episodes. After their usual weekend round up, they head straight into their thoughts on S1E9 of the Real Housewives of Dubai, ‘Dancehall It Out’ (00:17:15), where Sara vs Brooks continues. They also end off with a rating of the cast and the season [thus far]. Next on the agenda is S14E13 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, ‘A Rum Punch To The Gut’ (00:51:22). The cast sets off for Jamaica and Kenya seems to have got her groove back? The trip quickly escalates as it's only the first night and Marlo and Kandi (unsurprisingly) have butted heads. Last on the menu was S12E13 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, 'Rose Coloured Glasses' (01:20:57), and Leo and Nesu share their confusion at Sutton still wanting to be in Rinna's good books. The duo end of by dissenting the shocking scene at Rinna's Rose tasting.

In this week’s episode of the Reality Check Podcast, your hosts are still basking in the glow of Queen Bey’s latest album, Renaissance and cannot stop talking about it! After describing what felt like a “pod day out” over the weekend, they jump into discussing Diana’s Christmas party and the ensuing chaos on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (23:20), S12E12 “Beverly Hills Blackout”. Caroline Stanbury is the topic of conversation on S1E8 “Drama in the Sandbox” of the Real Housewives of Dubai (55:27), as she finally walks down the aisle with Sergio this episode; and introduces the housewives to her circle of friends, with very interesting results. Our Georgia peaches are all hot and bothered on S14E12 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta (01:16:53), “Trust (Planning) Issues” as Kandi looks to plan for the future, and tensions between Drew and Sheree come to a boil over Sheree’s friend Fatum. 

It’s another week and Leo and Nesu have actually managed to keep the ball rolling; dare we say, they’re back? The pair start you off with a weekend roundup and head straight into their thoughts on S14E11 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, ‘Cabin Fever’ (00:18:46). What seems to be a redemption arc for Kenya is discussed by the pair, as well as their mutual shock at how poorly Marlo and Sanya are coming off as new leach holders. They head on to the heated S1E8 of the Real Housewives of Dubai, ‘Drama in the Sandbox’ (00:51:49) where Caroline Brooks and Sara’s misunderstanding almost turns Caroline Stanbury’s desert engagement party upside down! Last on the menu was S12E11 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, ‘The Weight of Words’ (01:20:57) and the pair further solidified their dislike for Diana and their desire for Crystal to give them more; while enjoying Dorit fangirl’ing for Jamie Lee Curtis.

Leo and Nesu give a brief recap of what’s been going on with them of late, and why you haven’t heard from them, as well as a timely conversation about the heatwave and the UK’s (as always) unpreparedness for this. Since the last time they got behind the mic, both parts of the Real Housewives of Lagos reunion (15:52) aired, and the two find themselves yet again appreciating Andy Cohen’s ability to hold housewives to task at reunions even though he does come with him own biases. The topic of how any of these women film a potential second season has the dynamic duo in agreement for a change, and they give a roundup of their thoughts on each woman’s performance this season. Leo opens the discussion about the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (01:13:26) with a monologue about what’s annoyed them these last few episodes (and there’s a lot) and the hosts find themselves feeling as though Lisa’s grief and the robbery at Dorit’s are being drawn out for longer than they should, while remaining unimpressed by Diana, and feeling all the good things regarding Sheree. There’s lots to unpack regarding Caroline Stanbury when the conversation pivots to the Real Housewives of Dubai (01:42:52), from her upcoming nuptials to her bringing Sergio around all the time; the hosts are sick sick sick of seeing him. Sara’s Jesus complex is discussed, which leads into a difference of opinion with regards to Caroline B’s blowup on her. To close out this episode, the two are in agreement that Fatum and Sanya on the Real Housewives of Atlanta (02:11:02) are starting to seem a bit fixated with Drew, as well as Marlo’s return to her old ways with Kenya showing that the enemy of your enemy truly isn’t your friend.
