RAVE:POLITIX is the dynamic collaboration between Happy Hardcore Australian DJ Kaylene Sc@r and Southcoast Drum & Bass / Junglist producer Intraspekt, uniting their different rave cultures and shared passion for the underground scene in a musical explosion of heavy kick drums, amen breakbeats, massive leads, wobbly basslines, euphoric pianos, and raw vocal energy - with a splash of ’80s nostalgia thrown in for some cheeky fun. About the Host

Audiobubble (Host): Audiobubble is the alter-ego of composer Mark Bowler. Launching the project back in 2004 with a focus on breaks-y IDM, his sound has only gotten harder and stranger since.

Mark loves a good 4x4 kick—pair that with big bass, a smattering of breakbeat and the odd grime or rap bar, and you’re getting close to the signature Audiobubble sound. There’s a clear London accent in the music, even if it now originates from the "mean streets" of rural Bedfordshire. Known for reading the room perfectly, an Audiobubble live set is a wild ride that might pass through speedbass and hardcore via folk bangers, breakcore, electro house, UKG, and DnB. Welcome back to RavePool, a haven for rave music that focuses on independent electronic artists. For our third instalment, we present our long awaited interview with RavePool's founder, Dave Curran - also known as DJ Dave Skywalker.

An intimate and engaging interview, hosted by not only long-time raver but also Dave's wife (!), this brings to light the catalyst, motivation, past, present and future of this platform.

Shazza: Shaz has been going to raves even longer than Dave has - having begun going to raves around the M25 and on the south coast in the early 90s, Shaz has a  direct knowledge on the history of rave music. In terms of RavePool, she has been the person who has watched it come to life, listening to unending discussions about the platform even before a line of code was ever written. She's the perfect host for this interview with questions hopefully everyone has considered at least once.

Dave: Dave Skywalker, RavePool's Founder, began DJing at friends house parties in 1994, a full 8 years after first buying records. As acid house progressed into rave, and then splintered into dozens of different subgenres, Dave has been there. His background in going to raves, becoming a label owner, helping to run events, producing, and travelling across continents and meeting thousands of people proves the foundation for what has become the RavePool platform, all while spending almost four decades as a software developer.
