| WWE WrestleMania 42- Night 2 | 28 avr. 2026 | 01:54:03 | |
So after the first night of this year's WrestleMania was adjudged by us to be an almost complete wash out, could WWE recover the weekend on Night 2? That is the question we'll be looking to answer with our latest episode. A lot was riding on the main event which saw CM Punk defending the World Heavyweight Title against Roman Reigns, and the much anticipated contest between Brock Lesnar and 'The Next Big Thing' Oba Femi. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Tom, Stephen and Tinky.

The WrestleMania series is back, albeit temporarily, as we bring you full coverage of both nights of this year's event, starting with Night 1 here. After the speculation surrounding ticket prices and sales, and a general feeling that the build to the show has been less than stellar, would WWE be able to deliver on the night? Cody Rhodes was facing Randy Orton in the main event, meanwhile underneath, Stephanie Vaquer defended the Women's Title against Liv Morgan and Gunther battled Seth Rollins. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this time by Alex, Matt and Tinky.
| The BIG WrestleMania 42 Preview Show! | 15 avr. 2026 | 02:22:06 | |
For the 3rd year in a row, the same crew come together to look ahead to this weekend's WrestleMania- an event mired in scrutiny after a year of creative that many feel has been less than stellar and which comes while some are calling the 'Ruthless Depression' era. Can WWE put all that aside to deliver on the biggest weekend in the calendar, or will overly conservative booking, and the ongoing interference of TKO, lead to disaster? The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Tom, Matt, Alex and Tinky.
| AWA SuperClash III | 12 avr. 2026 | 01:26:47 | |
It's our last stop on the series of significant events in history, and to round things off ahead of WrestleMania season, it felt only right to get as far away from the glitz and glam of the 42nd edition of the Grandaddy of them all as possible, and a trip to 1988 AWA with their SuperClash III event. This was a big last effort by the remaining hold outs of the territory age to come together and try to keep the WWE and NWA wolves from the door, with the American Wrestling Association teaming up with CWA from Memphis, WCCW from Texas and women's promotion POWW to put on their one and only foray into pay-per-view, The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Tom, Gavin and Tinky.
| The Game: Hulk Hogan Matches | 05 avr. 2026 | 00:24:21 | |

Can Tom prise the title away from the dominant Duenas, or will Gavin make it 6-0 for his win/loss record. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Tom, Gavin and Tinky.
| WWE The Wrestling Classic | 29 mars 2026 | 01:47:25 | |
The esteem of being called the first proper Pay-Per-View in wrestling history doesn't go to Starrcade 1983, or even the first ever WrestleMania, it goes to a show that took place just a few months later in 1985, The Wrestling Classic, featuring a one night, 16-man tournament and a World Title match pitting Hulk Hogan against his nemesis 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper.
The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Alex, Dan and Tinky.

| WCW Road Wild 1998 | 15 mars 2026 | 01:38:27 | |
WCW Road Wild is the destination for our latest podcast as WCW continued a celebrity tour that had been going most of the summer by bringing in late night talk show host, Jay Leno to team with DDP against Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff in the main event. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Matt, James and Tinky.

Was any of it any good? Is WWE in a good place just over a month out from WrestleMania? And, is there a sense that the future could be bright for the company? All of that, and much more, covered in today's episode. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Matt and Tinky.
| WWE No Way Out 2004 | 01 mars 2026 | 01:41:07 | |
No Way Out 2004 was the night that Eddie Guerrero became WWE Champion defeating Brock Lesnar in a near 30-minute encounter, it was also the night that confirmed Kurt Angle's place in the title match against him at WrestleMania 20, and set the table for Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg's bizarre contest at the same event. Today we provide our insight on all the above points and much, much more. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Tom, Rob and Tinky.
| The Heroes: The Rock | 22 févr. 2026 | 00:53:25 | |
In the 3rd episode of our occasional series, Old Man talks about his enjoyment of The Rock and in particular the dizzying rise he went on between the end of 1996 up to, and including, the night he won his first WWE Title at the 1998 Survivor Series Deadly Game tournament. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Old Man and Tinky.
| All In (2018) | 15 févr. 2026 | 02:17:22 | |
When Dave Meltzer commented that there was no chance an independent wrestling show could draw 10,000 people, he probably couldn't have anticipated that not only would Cody Rhodes bet him that they could, but that in attempting to do so, Cody and his pals would kick off a series of events that would lead to the creation of All Elite Wrestling. That was the story behind All In, a show that included contributions from Ring of Honor, CMLL, New Japan and the NWA, and featured most of the best non-WWE signed wrestlers in the world... The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Alex, Dan and Tinky.
| RWR Now: Royal Rumble 2026 Reflections | 08 févr. 2026 | 00:49:00 | |
Last weekend WWE presented the Royal Rumble with Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan taking the victories in the respective Rumble matches, Drew McIntyre decisively defending the WWE Title against Sami Zayn and AJ Styles being forced to retire having lost to Gunther. We broadly discuss the main things coming out of the show and the decision of Roman Reigns on Raw to pick CM Punk to face at this coming year's WrestleMania. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Alex, Dan and Tinky.
| WWE Royal Rumble 1988 | 01 févr. 2026 | 01:32:41 | |
1988 was the year that WWE first unveiled to the world its Royal Rumble concept (actually it was 1987, but more on that in the episode)- a 30-man (okay, in this case it was actually 20) battle royal style contest with a twist- 2 wrestlers would start in the ring and then every 2 minutes (or 90 seconds, or even 60 seconds some years) a new wrestler would enter until all participants had joined the match. Eliminations would come when a person was thrown over the top rope and both feet hit the floor until there was just one man (or woman, as would later be introduced) left who would go on to headline (or just get put in one of many important matches) at WrestleMania (actually, this wasn't introduced until 1993). A show of many contradictions, all brought to you expertly by the RWR crew. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Alex, Matt and Tinky.
| Reassessing The WWE Hall of Fame (Part 5) | 25 janv. 2026 | 00:32:30 | |
We continue to trawl through every inductee in the WWE's Hall of Fame and determine whether they deserve to keep their place or whether they should be dunked out. This time around our panel discuss the case for Sgt Slaughter, 'Superstar' Billy Graham, Tito Santana, Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan, Hulk Hogan, 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper and Bob Orton Jr. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Old Man, Stephen and Tinky.
| ECW Guilty As Charged 2001 | 18 janv. 2026 | 01:42:27 | |
We've already covered WCW's last ever pay-per-view, so it felt only fair that we did the same for ECW and their Guilty As Charged 2001 event. A night that played host to a ECW World Title Ladder Match between Steve Corino, Justin Credible and The Sandman, an 'I Quit' match pitting Tommy Dreamer against CW Anderson and 2 impromptu bouts that closed the show in customary ECW style. This week's episode of The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you by Tom, Gavin and Tinky.
| RWR Now: Our 2026 Predictions | 11 janv. 2026 | 00:32:59 | |
For the first time ever, the Random Wrestling Review is running a predictions contest in 2026 as the 5 regulars on the podcast all gaze into their crystal ball and try to guess what will happen over the next 12 months. There are 30 different questions for them to attempt to answer with the winner being the person who gets the most correct answers as at the end of December. Old Man, Matt, Stephen and Alex have already put their predictions in, and here Tom Smith completes the set. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Tom and Tinky.
| WCW Bash at the Beach 1994 | 04 janv. 2026 | 01:16:22 | |
In mid-1994, Hulk Hogan, the 5-time WWF Champion, and babyface centrepiece of Vince McMahon's juggernaut for the previous 10 years, jumped ship to its main competitor, WCW. Having attracted The Hulkster to the company, WCW's Senior Vice President, Eric Bischoff, wasted no time in booking a match that the WWF had decided not to deliver a couple of years earlier, Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair. The match, for the WCW World Title, also featured Shaquille O'Neal to hand the title to the victor, Mr T in the corner of Hogan, and a bunch of stars in the crowd. Also on the show, 'Stunning' Steve Austin defended the WCW United States Title against Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat, and Lord Steven Regal took on Johnny B Badd for the Television Title. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Matt, Alex and Tinky.
| RWR Now: The Quick Review of 2025 | 28 déc. 2025 | 00:53:29 | |
It's our annual (brief) look back at the year that has just happened and in particular this year we are focussing on what was the year of John Cena, his retirement tour, the heel turn, his final match and how that impact WWE's product over the previous 12 months. We also talk about the potential for Netflix's purchase of WBD to be very bad news for AEW, the need for wrestling to lower its expectations of in-ring performance, the chance of a Jericho return to WWE and the hope that the RWR crew can get together in 2026 for AEW All In London. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Matt, Alex and Tinky.
| WWE Survivor Series 1990 | 21 déc. 2025 | 02:00:21 | |
Is this the greatest wrestling show in the history of the industry, or an event that inspires rose tinted nostalgia to take over at the expense of good taste? That is the central point of discussion on this year's Christmas episode of the Random Wrestling Review as we cover WWE Survivor Series 1990, a night that saw the debut of the Undertaker, the surprise of the Gobbledy Gooker and a special all Survivors match main event. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this time by Stephen, Alex and Tinky.
| RWR Now: Who Will TKO Choose To Replace Triple H? | 14 déc. 2025 | 00:35:22 | |
One day Triple H will leave his role as the head of WWE's creative process- whether through choice, or otherwise, so in that scenario, who will TKO choose to replace him? Would an internal promotion, like Bruce Prichard, Shawn Michaels, Paul Heyman or Cody Rhodes be the way to go? Could TKO dip back into the McMahon well by bringing back Stephanie, or even Shane? Or would it be a more out there option- Eric Bischoff? Vince Russo?! Tony Khan!?!? That's our discussion this week. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Stephen, Alex and Tinky.
| NWA Great American Bash 1985 | 07 déc. 2025 | 01:25:48 | |
If WWE had pulled their finger out and uploaded the first ever Starrcade to YouTube by now, that is what you'd be getting here, as it is, you'll have to put up with the RWR original crew struggling their way through this. It features a main event of Dusty Rhodes vs. Tully Blanchard in a cage and is supported by Ric Flair's defence of the NWA World Title against Nikita Koloff. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Old Man, Tom and Tinky.
| From The Vault: The Montreal Screwjob | 30 nov. 2025 | 00:48:42 | |
After last week's review of WWE Survivor Series 1997, here is a recording from 2014 discussing The Montreal Screwjob- some of the things that led to it, the actions of those involved, the reactions of others, and some of the elements that make understanding exactly what happened even to this day, a complex affair. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Gavin and Tinky.

Buckle up for one of the longest episodes in the history of this podcast as we discuss the infamous Survivor Series 1997, site of the Montreal Screwjob, a moment that changed the course of wrestling history and the lives of pretty much all involved. Here we will talk about the build up to the event, the contract situation that existed, the various backstage happenings that led to such distrust and the match itself. In addition to that, we of course have a duty to cover the rest of the event as well, to review the card and discuss its relative quality or lack there of. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Tom, Stephen and TInky.

| TNA Genesis 2006 | 09 nov. 2025 | 02:09:07 | |
In the autumn of 2006, Kurt Angle sensationally signed with TNA and opened up the possibility of a number of mouth-watering matches taking place- one of those matches was with the then undefeated Samoa Joe, and TNA decided to go there straight away, billing the pair's first collision, 'The Dream Match of the Decade'. Also on the show, Sting would defend the NWA World Title against Abyss, AJ Styles would battle Christian and the X-Division Title would also be on the line, with Champion, Christopher Daniels defending against Chris Sabin. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Alex, Matt and Tinky.
| RWR Now: What Will Be John Cena's Last Match? | 01 nov. 2025 | 00:29:10 | |
Recorded on Monday (so apologies if WWE have subsequently announced who he'll be facing), the RWR panel turn their attentions to John Cena's last match, set for Saturday Night's Main Event in December. We discuss whether it will indeed turn out to be the last time he steps foot in the squared circle, or whether the Saudi Money (or some other factor) prompt a return in the years to come. We talk about who we think he will end up facing, and we talk about who it should be, and offer some alternative ideas for the occasion. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Alex, Matt and Tinky.
