Paric's resurrection continues at the hands of House Kilhaven and a visit to Schola Psykana.

She knew I spoke the truth.

A contentious meeting in Gall Primus leads to Five's next mission.

Five witnesses an execution in the overhive of Gall Primus, followed by a kidnapping that ignites a war with the inquisition.

Having returned the Guard's trenches around Gall Primus, Five reconnects with those that thought him lost.

Having done the unthinkable by escaping from Psykana, Paric goes in search of help and a bridge back to where he belongs.

“Kiss me.” With those two words, a black witch is revealed.

A second mystery is solved over breakfast. One that opens Paric's eyes to the true reality of Psykana.

A challenge grows into something far more lethal.

“Have I arrived in time?”

“In time? The funeral is just getting started, but we’ve saved you a seat.”

She switched off the priceless device, restoring the distance between us. It was a fitting start to our day.

I needed to be here, and with a list full of names, I sought first to clear my own.

“You think redemption is oblivion?”

“For Hereticus, certainly. For Psykana, maybe. For a man caught in between, only the Emperor knows for sure.”

Looking for a clue to the black witch in Schola Psykana, Paric Silver encounters a golden curse, one that takes him to the edge of oblivion.
