George, Wess and Tyler talk all about our first hunt of the year....spoiler alert! Tyler was almost eaten by a goose while Wess and George laughed! 

We also talk about what we have been seeing for young birds.

This week we sit down with Josh Clouse and his 11 year old son Bo. We discussed archery hunting, upland and waterfowl. Bo has a passion second to none when it comes to the outdoors and learning from his dad. We also dip into todays youth and how to best get them involved in the outdoors.

This week we took a break from the studio. Wess, George and Tyler took a drive around the neighborhood to look for broods of young birds, chat with landowners, and check out the local wildlife. 

George and Tyler went to do help with a calf branding last week, and lived to tell the tale! No blood was shed but many stories were created. We share a bunch of laughs and tell stories about how we can now offically call ourselves cowboys!

Wess, George and Myself sit down to talk about fishing small mouth on lake sakakawea. We also chat about Wess's extrodinary run of shitty luck with his boat and truck.

George, Wess and Tyler driving around the Badlands of SW North Dakota scouting for turkeys.

With turkey season just around the corner we loaded up the podcast gear in the truck and headed out for a good old fashioned country cruise. Pardon the back ground noise but the roads were a bit bumpy in spots. 

On todays episode we are joined by Michael McNeal to talk about following the migration of waterfowl. 

Michael starts his season way up in Canada and follows it all the way down Oklahoma. Right now he is following the spring migration of snow geese back north. 

Will Gadwah is Georges uncle and one of his mentors. Will has been making maple syrup since the 1960s and is a master. 

We learned a ton about what goes into making syrup from the collecting of the sap to the finished product.

Wayne Saunders joins us this week. Wayne is a retired Game Warden from New Hampshire. We talk about search and rescue, Conservation, and even a little Bigfoot.
